Abstract

A common feature to all restructuring efforts is to provide non-discriminatory transmission access to producers and consumers. Transmission access rules must be neutral, economically efficient, assure optimal utilization of the transmission network, and allow for full recovery of stranded costs. So transmission pricing is a very important part in electricity market design. Accurately estimating and allocating the transmission cost in the transmission pricing scheme still remains challenging task. This paper gives an overview of different cost incurred in transmission pricing using Bialek Tracing method & Distribution factor method (GGDFs).It mainly focused on determining the embedded transmission cost through Generator side by various methods and compared the result for 12-Bus system.
