Intrusion Detection for Cloud using Artificial Neural Network

In recent years, as a new distributed computing model, cloud computing has developed rapidly and become the focus of academia and industry. But now security issue of cloud computing is a main critical problem of most enterprise customer faced. Machine learning-based intrusion detection approaches have attracted increasing attention in the network intrusion detection research area because of their intrinsic capabilities in discovering novel attacks. In this paper we propose a new approach to detect network attacks, which aims to study the efficiency of the method based on machine learning in intrusion detection in artificial neural networks. The experimental results obtained by applying this approach to the KDD CUP'99 data set demonstrate that the proposed approach performs high performance.The experimental results shows that this model improves the ability of intrusion detection and can support for the security of current cloud computing.
