MULTI-AGENT, loosely coupled network, problem solver.

This paper discusses about multi-agent systems and its characteristics. This paper also provides a review of different applications and components involving multi-agent system. A multi-agent system (MAS) is a loosely coupled network of software agents that interact to solve problems that are beyond the individual capacities or knowledge of each problem solver. They simplify problem-solving by dividing the necessary knowledge into subunits-to which an independent intelligent agent is associated-and by coordinating the agents' activity.
