Abstract

Metal inert gas arc welding (MIG) is preferable more its inherent qualities like easy control of variables, high quality, deep penetration, smooth finish. The quality of weld depends on metal deposition rate which in turn depends on the process parameters. In this present work, the effect of Taguchi Methodology approach for experimental investigation of metal inert gas arc welding parameters welding current, welding voltage and wire feed speed on metal deposition rate has been studied.
