Energy Efficiency and Traffic Optimization through Data Aggregation in Wireless Sensor Networks

In this paper we analyze and compare two algorithms for query based converge cast in WSNs and show that it’s possible to achieve better performances in terms of energy consumption and total number of packet transmitted by means of data aggregation. We also show the impact of data aggregation on the total latency.
