The street lighting system is very much important issue for safety of peoples travelling on roads. This also includes safety of peoples on street, roads and highways for which it is necessary that all the street light are adequately illuminated to guarantee sufficient visibility for travelling peoples in order to reduce their accidental rate as well as to increase the vehicle flow with greater safety. We all are observing in day to day life that street lights are continuously glowing in night and become off in morning without taking care that whether they are working properly or not as per their seasonal requirement as well as their maintenance for providing sufficient light intensity due to which they require large power for proper functioning. But as compared to this high power requirement they are not able to provide better illumination since they are not adequately maintained due to lack an efficient monitoring and controlling system due to which it becomes more power consuming and less energy efficient. It requires an efficient monitoring and controlling system which it can provide high quality illuminated output as per the seasonal variation and requirement from time to time with less power consumption by dimming or turning off street light whenever not required. |
