Abstract

Vehicular communication makes transportation system intelligent but due to increase in number of vehicles free band is overcrowded. To tackle the problem of spectrum scarcity Cognitive Radio(CR) can be implemented in license band with the help of cooperative spectrum sensing. The proposed system will minimize high mobility issues as well as it will improve spectrum efficiency. With the help of decision fusion techniques & renewal process we will analyze the probability of detection of primary user & average waiting time for CR user, followed by this mathematical analysis is performed to check the same. Results will show that this model based on renewal process is more suitable for vehicular communication.
