Study of Shunt Active Power filter for PV Generation System using MATLAB/SIMULINK

This Paper proposes the study of power filter for grid connected PV system. Power Quality is one of the emerging tasks in grid connected system. Typical grid connected solar system includes Photovoltaic system, Dc to DC Converters, three phase inverter, related power electronics devices and loads. Three phase inverter operates as shunt active power filter which inject current equal and opposite to that of load current and intern helps in reducing current harmonics and avoids the use of passive filter which effects the dynamic performance of the system. The overall system is to be checked for compensation under balanced and unbalanced load conditions. The model is analysed and simulated by using Matlab/ Simulink.
