Recapture Detection Algorithm Based on Edge Profiles

Abstract

In today’s digital life, high quality of digital still camera is used to capture the image and that can be recaptured from a liquid crystal monitor screen with good authenticity. In this work we address the problem of detecting images recaptured from the LCD monitor screen. To determine the character of images, two set of dictionaries are trained using the k-singular value decomposition from the line spread profiles from the query images. A support vector machine classifier is built by using the dictionary approximation errors and man edge spread width from the trained images and the height and width of the image is also measured to determine the character of an image. Our proposed method achieves maximum accurate results for both single and recaptured images.
