Abstract |
In This paper, a modified high speed low voltage BCDL (Boosted CMOS differential logic) style to provide higher switching. This circuit is used in Ripple Carry Adders to improve switching speed by boosting the gate to source voltage to minimize the transistors along with timing critical signal path. The modified BCDL circuit to be shared by complementary outputs as a result also minimizes area. We carried out a comparison results against the existing logic design indicated that the propagation delay product of the modified logic style was improved by up to .35% compared with conventional logic style at supply voltage 1.8V. The test sets of logic gates and 32 bit adders where designed in TSMC 0.18μm CMOS process. The simulation result of 32bit Ripple Carry Adders using the modified logic style revealed that the addition time is reduced as compared with the existing conventional logic style. |
