Abstract

the main aim of the project is develop a low cost vision system for an objective method of inspection system using LabVIEW for an industrial automation. Generally Smart camera or raw cameras used for industrial automation. But they have some short of limitation by features as well software side. When assembly consider large number of child parts and if one of the part is missing while doing manual assembly after that any problem occur in testing phase then missed part tracing is difficult as well as time consuming. Thus our aim to develop a Low cost vision system in LabVIEW to ensure with vision sensing any part is not missing while doing assembly. By Automated inspection system we achieve increase in productivity and reduce overall time. Due to advantages of LabVIEW to develop a vision system by software itself it is employed in a present work. Once identifies any object based on its image processing technique signal should be communicate to any controller for separating that object by general purpose I/Os. Advance state machine programming used for sequencing and looping for an inspection. By G-Programming generate a graphical user interface at a front panel. Data logging and monitoring both facilities available.
