Water Distribution Network Analysis and Design using Loop and EPANET Software

In order to fulfill adequate and sufficient amount of water to human being is the prime responsibility of water resource engineers and also to meet the continuously growing population. At end of nineteen century community is not getting water at their residence in their village. But water is basic need of human being and it is directly affect on human health. The chitrodi village of morbi district (Ta.: Halvad) is selected as study area for water distribution system. Various softwares are used now a days to design of system. Out of which two softwares were selected i.e. LOOP and EPANET. For design this system survey work is carried out. In this work R.L. of each and every node and distance between nodes is necessary as'a basic input, which feed to soft with other data'produce output with pipe diameter, Pressure, velocity, cost, losses etc. The main objective of"this paper is to design a new water distribution system with LOOP and EPANET software. By comparing both software efficient design of distribution network can be obtain.
