Abstract

Around the globe the demand for energy resources is increasing day by day. As the conventional resources are depleting, the focus is now shifted to the non-conventional resources in order to fulfill the rising need. Wind energy can be easily harnessed as it is readily available in nature & can be a feasible option in this regard as they provide a promising solution. H-Darrieus are earning great popularity in the wind energy market. In the paper the author provides you with the benefits of vertical axis wind turbine over horizontal axis wind turbine. This paper presents a review on various design parameters of H- Rotor Darrieus Vertical Axis Wind Turbine along with its aerodynamics & an optimum design procedure.
