Location of Outrigger System for High Rise Building with Braced Core

The present study is being focused on the location and depth of outrigger system. Static and dynamic behaviour of thirty storey steel building models with different location of outrigger with centre braced core were analysed using ETABS2016 software. The analysis results include storey displacement, base shear and storey drift for equivalent static analysis and response spectrum method. From the analysis result it is concluded that the percentage reduction for displacement is more for outrigger at top and mid height for one storey of the building for both directions for both the methods. Therefore, the depth of outrigger has been reduced and analysed. The reduction is 15.87% and 18.44% for 1/4th storey depth along X direction and 12.28% and 17.84% for 3/4th storey depth along Y direction for equivalent static analysis and response spectrum method respectively.
