Abstract |
This paper compares the performance of single element micro-strip patch antenna with the 4*1 micro-strip patch array antenna. The operating frequency for both is 2.45 GHz. The antenna array has been designed and simulated on FR4 substrate with dielectric constant 4.4. This paper presents the detail steps of designing and simulating single element and 4*1 micro-strips patch array antenna. Design of patch antenna is simulated by using high frequency simulation software CAD-FEKO. The purpose we are using micro-strip patch array antenna is, as number of patch element goes on increasing, the performance and gain of antenna increases. The performance of micro-strip antenna determines by using substrate material, dimensions of antenna like length, width and feeding techniques. |
