Implementation of Multichannel UART Controller Based on FIFO Technique and FPGA
-Pranay Gaikwad ; Dr. Dnyaneshwar. S. Mantri; Neel Harsha; Pranay Gaikwad; Pranshu Kumar
In order to transmit large amount of data over a long distance, serial communications are used. If complex systems are running at different baud rates generated by some special baud rate devices, in this condition common serial ports were unable to meet the requirements. In this case without a unique baud rate controller one cannot implement multi-baud rate communication system. To take care of this issue, in this paper we have planned a Multi-Channel UART controller which depends on FIFO procedures on FPGA. In M-C UART the data received at certain baud rate to the UART and that data can be transmitted to sub controller at the same or different baud rate. In structuring of the computerized circuits FPGA put a significant job and it likewise improves the framework combination, power utilization and unwavering quality. Read More...

-Prof. Snehal Gholap ; Kartik Jangid; Mudassir Khan; Arati Adhav; Bharat Kamale
In previous drilling machine many of the problems arise during drilling. Some parts cannot drill due to small work space between drill bit and work piece. So we use hand drills in this cases but it cause alignment problems. So here we propose a 360 degree pneumatically operated flexible drilling arm that can be mounted on a table or wall and can be used to drill holes horizontally, vertically or even upside down. So this make it possible for easy drilling in even complicated parts and surfaces. The designed pneumatic arm consists of 3 actuators, a shaft works with lead screw mechanism capable of converting motion of piston to rotational motion of arm with help of using compressed air. The designed processes are carried out based on integrated information of kinematics dynamics and structural analysis of the desired robot configuration as whole. The highly dynamic pneumatic arm model can be easily set at intermediate positions by regulating the pressure using the flow control valve. As the arm is pneumatically operated so we can also use it where the electricity is not available. We will need only compressed air for doing operation. Read More...

-C. Naveen Kumar ; V. Sathish Kumar; A. Lakshmi Neeharika; S.J. Shahid Afridi
Concrete is the most versatile construction material that can be used in fabricating of structures. Concrete is available in various types depending upon the necessity of structure. The key parameters that influence any structure are its strength and durability. In order to attain higher strength with normal concrete, there is a need of using some additional materials along with the main components in concrete i.e. Cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water. These additional materials function as reinforcement to concrete to increase the strength. In this research steel fiber is used in M25 concrete to target the strength. Steel fibers are one of the metallic fibers which possess high tensile property. Therefore influence of steel fiber on structural properties of M25 concrete is studied. In this regard various proportions of steel fiber i.e. 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% by weight of binder are added to concrete. Each proportion of fiber is added to concrete and six specimens of cubes, cylinders and prisms are casted and cured for 7 days and 28 days. These specimens are tested for compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength after specified curing period and the results of the tested specimens are noted and discussed for further analysis. -Prajakta C. Thale ; Dr. M. D. Nadar
The use of Composite Materials are increasing now a days. Composites are of three types, metal matrix, Polymer Matrix and Ceramic Matrix. The advantage of using composite is that an alternate material is obtained with increase in several parameters without effecting in the strength. In this Study a Pressure vessel is designed and modified by using composite material. A pressure vessel is a container designed to hold gases or liquids at a pressure substantially different from the ambient pressure. Design of Pressure vessel involves parameters such as maximum safe operating pressure and temperature, safety factor corrosion allowance and minimum design temperature. The Current Pressure vessels are made of highly delighted Haste alloy C-276, Inconel 600/625. The vessels are designed for containing liquid of Capacity from small scale to large scale. In this work, the pressure vessel is first designed and modified using Inconel and Haste Alloys, later on the Material of SS316 and aluminum matrix composites, is used as replacement of Inconel. -Shubham Dattatraya Ghadage ; Akshay Jotiram Lawand ; Omkar Chandrakant Nazirkar; Vijay Bapurao Dalavi; Prof. Jagtap Mayur Dattatray
In this paper, the design and analysis of the rotating screw of injection molding machine has been presented. The flow of melted material is controlled by the reciprocating screw inside the barrel, where the raw material of the product is melted. The proper flow of melted material is required to obtain better quality of the product. Thus, the rotating screw can be considered as a critical component of injection molding machine and its size varies model to model. The work presented is based on parametric modelling of reciprocating screw. Using developed parametric model of rotating screw, three parameters (radius of screw, feed flight depth and metering flight depth) are required to generate the three-dimensional (3D) model for further analysis. The ease of present approach is very useful for the development of the different types of rotating screw in terms of variation in the said dimensions. The static structural and steady-state thermal analysis has been considered to analyse stresses, total deformation, total heat flux and directional heat flux. The obtained result depicts that has higher yield strength and has low total heat flux value. Thus, can be considered where higher strength is required and for higher wear resistance is preferred for reciprocating screw. During injection molding process, the heater temperature is one of the most important influences on the product quality. In this paper, the temperature of the heater will be examined for different product sizes. The temperature values and distribution will be collected and compared. Results show that when the product size changes, the heating and cooling steps have a slight variation. The simulation results were verified by an experiment. Polymeric matrix composites are the most commonly used matrix materials.[2]. Read More...

-Ballekallu Chinna Eranna ; Debebe Denbela; Babuskin Srinivasan ; Gizachew Fitamo
Food fortification is the addition of essential vitamins and minerals (micronutrients) to foods during the manufacturing process to enhance the nutritional content of the end product for consumers. Food fortification has gained significant importance in the recent decades as a cost-effective and easy to implement intervention to address micronutrient deficiencies in the populations. Food fortification is the preferred public health intervention to combat nutrient deficiencies due to low nutrient intake in large segments of the population, high prevalence of micro-nutrient deficiency and well documented adverse health consequences. In this context, the present review tries to address the fortification strategies, challenges and limitations during fortification and the types of fortification. Some of the fortification programs that were carried out elsewhere in the world have also been described in the study. Read More...

Multi-stage orifice assemblies are used in many industrial processes as pressure reduction devices. Performance characteristics of orifice plates for variation in different geometrical parameters are examined with the help of computational fluid dynamics (CFD). In the present study, a CFD methodology using ANSYS, Fluent 19.1 software has been used for analyzing flow through multiple orifice plate assemblies. A parametric study is conducted for flow analysis through threefold orifice plate assemblies with diameter ratio (β = 0.5, 0.65, 0.7) in a pipe of 3, 4 and 5 inch diameter. It is found that a spacing between inlet to orifice and orifice to orifice is kept as 5D. The value of Coefficient of Discharge depends on the type of flow, pressure tapping’s, contour of the obstruction. The results and outcomes of the study are obtainable with velocity and pressure contours. The pressure drop and the velocity of flow along the pipe is studied. Read More...

-Pooja Bajirao Dhamdhere ; Sameer Ahmad check; Pooja Rama Ganje; Pratiksha Rajendra Jadhav; Prof. Kamlesh Nanaji
This paper deals with “An experimental investigation on wall made with plastic bottles bricksâ€. One of the main problems faced by the construction industry is the high cost of the building materials. Materials are primary requirement for construction. In places where people are below poverty line, the high cost of building materials is becoming the most significant problem. Clay bricks are commonly used for the construction of small houses. Production of clay bricks results in liberation of Oxides of Sulphur and Carbon. Even though fly ash bricks avoid the liberation of the greenhouse gases, But it is beyond the reach of poor peoples. At the same time, urbanization generates waste materials, especially the non-degradable. An attempt has been made to build low cost houses using waste plastic bottles along with providing adequate thermal comfort while being sustainable. The innovative idea reduces the requirement of clay and fly ash bricks and at the same time protects the environmental pollution. Strength of bottle blocks were determined and strengths were compared with that of clay brick masonry. It was found that the strength of bottle masonry was more than that of the conventional second class brick .The cost of bottle masonry is also comparable with that of brick masonry. Read More...

Structural Behaviour of Voided Beam
-Shubham Rajabhau Gade ; Shubham R. Gade; Prof. M. M. Pawar
Bubble beam is a method of virtually eliminating all concrete from the middle of a beam, which is not performing any structural function, thereby dramatically reducing structural dead weight. High density polyethylene hollow spheres replace the in-effective concrete in the beam, thus decreasing the dead weight. The advantages are less energy consumption, both in production, transport and carrying out, less emission - exhaust gases from production and transport, especially CO2 and reduce the material, the load, lower the cost and it is also a green technology. In the bubble beam technology reduce the concrete volume by replacing the spherical bubbles, these are locally available which is called as PEPSI balls, these balls are made up of HDPE (High Density polyethylene). In this experimental program conventional beam and bubble beam are cast with various bubbles arrangement which is continuous arrangement of bubbles within whole beam and two types of alternative bubbles arrangement in the beam. And trying to enhance the increasing strength of that beam but shear capacity of concrete Decreases when bubbles are added. There is a remarkable Decrease in load carrying capacity upto first crack appears. Read More...

Study on Square Footing Supported on Geocell – Tire Crumb Reinforced Granular Soil
-Saurabh Verma ; Anish Krishnan
Weak or soft soil is considered unsafe for construction of engineering structures. To bring about improvement in such soil, ground improvement techniques are utilised commonly in these days in which the engineer forces the ground to adopt the project’s requirements, by altering natural state of the soil, instead of having to alter the design in response to ground natural limitation. In this present study, tire crumbs from waste have been chosen as the reinforcement material for soil improvement. Another viable alternative to enhance the strength of the soft soils is the adaptation of technique involving the use of geocell mattress which is a three dimensional, polymeric, honeycomb like structure interconnected at joints. The results of the model load tests show that the stiffness and the load carrying capacity of the soil improve substantially with the provision of geocell reinforcement. In addition to it tire crumb’s optimum content has also been discussed which gives maximum bearing capacity as compared to unreinforced soil. Read More...

Home Automation System using Internet of Thing
-Srishti Bansal ; Saurav Kumar Das; Gaurav Srivastava
This business proposes an effective use of the Internet of Things (IoT), which is used to inspect and control home machines via the Internet. The home mechanized framework uses universal gadgets as UI. They can mechanize conversations with families through Internet channels through methods such as ZigBee, WiFi, and other low-intensity communication agreements. The goal of this task is to control home devices by using WiFi as a communication contract and a mobile phone with a Raspberry Pi as a server framework. Although home appliances such as lighting, fans and entrance locks can be controlled remotely from a simple site, customers here will legally move with the frame through an electronic interface on the network. Another important point to improve the reality of chimney accident insurance is that it can evacuate all smoke in any chimney, issue a warning message, and send pictures to mobile phones. The server will interface with the transmission equipment circuit where the control equipment runs at home. The correspondence with the server allows customers to choose accessories. The correspondence with the server allows the client to choose valuable gadgets. The server talks to the relevant transmission. If the network connection is closed or the server is not started, the implanted frame board will monitor and operate the device everywhere. In this way, we provide a climbable and powerful home automation system. Read More...
