In order to transmit large amount of data over a long distance, serial communications are used. If complex systems are running at different baud rates generated by some special baud rate devices, in this condition common serial ports were unable to meet the requirements. In this case without a unique baud rate controller one cannot implement multi-baud rate communication system. To take care of this issue, in this paper we have planned a Multi-Channel UART controller which depends on FIFO procedures on FPGA. In M-C UART the data received at certain baud rate to the UART and that data can be transmitted to sub controller at the same or different baud rate. Multi-stage orifice assemblies are used in many industrial processes as pressure reduction devices. Performance characteristics of orifice plates for variation in different geometrical parameters are examined with the help of computational fluid dynamics (CFD). In the present study, a CFD methodology using ANSYS, Fluent 19.1 software has been used for analyzing flow through multiple orifice plate assemblies. A parametric study is conducted for flow analysis through threefold orifice plate assemblies with diameter ratio (β = 0.65) in a pipe of 3, 4 and 5 inch diameter. It is found that a spacing between inlet to orifice and orifice to orifice is kept as 5D. The value of Coefficient of Discharge depends on the type of flow, pressure tapping’s, contour of the obstruction .The results and outcomes of the study are obtainable with velocity and pressure contours. The pressure drop and the velocity of flow along the pipe is studied.

The key parameters that influence any structure are its strength and durability. In order to attain higher strength with normal concrete, there is a need of using some additional materials along with the main components in concrete i.e. Cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water. These additional materials function as reinforcement to concrete to increase the strength. In this research steel fiber is used in M25 concrete to target the strength. Steel fibers are one of the metallic fibers which possess high tensile property. Therefore influence of steel fiber on structural properties of M25 concrete is studied. In this regard various proportions of steel fiber i.e. 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% by weight of binder are added to concrete. Each proportion of fiber is added to concrete and six specimens of cubes, cylinders and prisms are casted and cured for 7 days and 28 days. These specimens are tested for compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength after specified curing period and the results of the tested specimens are noted and discussed for further analysis.

In this paper, the design and analysis of the rotating screw of injection molding machine has been presented. The flow of melted material is controlled by the reciprocating screw inside the barrel, where the raw material of the product is melted. The proper flow of melted material is required to obtain better quality of the product. Thus, the rotating screw can be considered as a critical component of injection molding machine and its size varies model to model. The work presented is based on parametric modelling of reciprocating screw. Using developed parametric model of rotating screw, three parameters (radius of screw, feed flight depth and metering flight depth) are required to generate the three-dimensional (3D) model for further analysis. The ease of present approach is very useful for the development of the different types of rotating screw in terms of variation in the said dimensions. The static structural and steady-state thermal analysis has been considered to analyse stresses, total deformation, total heat flux and directional heat flux. The obtained result depicts that has higher yield strength and has low total heat flux value. Thus, can be considered where higher strength is required and for higher wear resistance is preferred for reciprocating screw. During injection molding process, the heater temperature is one of the most important influences on the product quality. In this paper, the temperature of the heater will be examined for different product sizes. The temperature values and distribution will be collected and compared. Results show that when the product size changes, the heating and cooling steps have a slight variation. The simulation results were verified by an experiment. Polymeric matrix composites are the most commonly used matrix materials.[2].

India is highly vulnerable to floods and out of the total geographical area of 329 million hectares, more than 40 million hectare is flood prone. Floods are recurrent phenomenon, which cause huge loss of lives and damage to livelihood system, property, infrastructure and public utilities. It is a cause for concern that the flood related damages are showing an increasing trend. This can be attributed to many reasons including rapid increase in population and urbanization coupled with growing developmental and economic activities in the flood plains and global warming. In this paper, the main objective was to study the causes of floods in krishna river, study the overall impacts, socio-economic impacts and to formulate a strategy and find a solution to reduce the impact of flood in shirte village. It was observed that, in this village more than 491 farmers had directly affected by the flood. They had loosed the crops of worth 50 lakh rupees, flood disaster terribly affected on transportation facilities, shops and kiosks, milk production, basic facilities of the village, livestock of the village, houses and households. Also flood has shown increase in the fertility of the land, increase in the ground water level and mitigation of the problem of saltation.

This paper aims to extend knowledge about the performance of Economic load dispatch (ELD) considering renewable energy resources do with wind generation. The main objective of the ELD problems is to determine the optimal combination of power outputs of all generating units to meet the required demand at minimum cost while satisfying the constraint including the load demand balance. A General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) is used to minimize the objective function, while satisfying system operating constraints. General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) software has been utilized to solve the problem of non-smooth load dispatch by the scheduling of the active power of generators to check the capability of GAMS for non-smooth function and start-up cost based on Unit commitment (UC). The developed algorithm is tested on the IEEE-24 bus reliability test system considering variability in renewable energy sources and load demand. The results demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the developed programming to minimize the total generation cost including the load demand balance.

This paper deals with “An experimental investigation on wall made with plastic bottles bricks”. One of the main problems faced by the construction industry is the high cost of the building materials. Materials are primary requirement for construction. In places where people are below poverty line, the high cost of building materials is becoming the most significant problem. Clay bricks are commonly used for the construction of small houses. Production of clay bricks results in liberation of Oxides of Sulphur and Carbon. Even though fly ash bricks avoid the liberation of the greenhouse gases, But it is beyond the reach of poor peoples. At the same time, urbanization generates waste materials, especially the non-degradable. An attempt has been made to build low cost houses using waste plastic bottles along with providing adequate thermal comfort while being sustainable. The innovative idea reduces the requirement of clay and fly ash bricks and at the same time protects the environmental pollution. Strength of bottle blocks were determined and strengths were compared with that of clay brick masonry. It was found that the strength of bottle masonry was more than that of the conventional second class brick .The cost of bottle masonry is also comparable with that of brick masonry.

To bring about improvement in such soil, ground improvement techniques are utilised commonly in these days in which the engineer forces the ground to adopt the project’s requirements, by altering natural state of the soil, instead of having to alter the design in response to ground natural limitation. In this present study, tire crumbs from waste have been chosen as the reinforcement material for soil improvement. Another viable alternative to enhance the strength of the soft soils is the adaptation of technique involving the use of geocell mattress which is a three dimensional, polymeric, honeycomb like structure interconnected at joints. The results of the model load tests show that the stiffness and the load carrying capacity of the soil improve substantially with the provision of geocell reinforcement. In addition to it tire crumb’s optimum content has also been discussed which gives maximum bearing capacity as compared to unreinforced soil.
