Abstract |
The study examines the factors that determined the use and adoption of digital payments since the introduction of Demonetisation and during the pandemic of Covid-19. The data collected were from the 253 survey responses. The reliability and validity of the data were assessed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and the Cronbach Alpha which showed that the data were not normally distributed but the questionnaire was reliable after deleting some items. Therefore, nonparametric tests like the Mann-Whitney U-test, and Kruskal-Wallis tests were used. It is found that gender does not play a major role in adoption of digital payment systems. However, age does play a role, and the study showed havinga tendency to stick to cash payments as the age bracket increases. |
