Abstract |
The current situation of the world with respect to population growth is becoming a matter of concern. Due to increase in population, wastage of food is becoming a serious problem nowadays. In developing countries like India, remaining food from weddings, canteens, restaurants, hotels etc. are becoming major reasons for food wastage which is quite uncontrollable. Therefore, management of food waste is very important for food security. Also, the rate of hunger is rising rapidly and affects millions of people globally. The above mentioned problem is exactly what this research paper aims to deal with. The development of the research aimed at creating a strong link between people who wants to donate food and people who need it. The main objective of Waste Food Tracker software is to manage the wasted edible food so that it can be consumed in a useful way. This software will act as an intermediary between waste food producers (like restaurants, hotels, wedding halls, messes, canteens etc.) and charities (like NGOs). Overall, this software offers a practical and sustainable solution for reducing food waste and hunger rate. |
