Abstract

This Paper describes Maximum Power Point Tracking system (MPPT) and mathematical modelling of wind turbine. Efficiency of wind energy conversion system has been improved by using MPPT. Due to the continuous variation in wind speed it is difficult to extract maximum power from wind. Therefore this method is incorporated with wind turbine to get maximum power output. In this paper the performance of wind turbine has been done by using mathematical modeling of fixed pitch Wind turbine. The simulation results shows that higher power output with MPPT Control using P&O method compared to without MPPT.
