Abstract |
Directional couplers are general purpose tools used in RF and microwave signal routing for isolating, separating or combining signals. Directional couplers are operating at different frequency band for different application. I will design Directional coupler at 3.4GHz frequency in Ranging Transponder of IRNSS system using Microstrip Technique. Design of Directional coupler is done by using Advance Design System (ADS). After deciding the coupling, center frequency and substrate; thickness of substrate, width of microstrip line, space between microstrip lines and length of directional coupler can be found out by design equations of directional coupler. After simulation with above parameters, return loss is 24.46dB, coupling is 20.89dB and isolation is 28.37 for 20dB coupler. |
