Abstract |
A chamfer is a transitional edge between two faces of an object. A form of bevel, it is created at 45° angle to two adjoining right-angled faces. A lark's tongue is a chamfer which ends short of a piece in a gradual upward curve, leaving the balance as a right angle. In practice the chamfering of holes are done by small hand tool. In this hand tool the laborer require more time and more hard work. It may cause slowdown in production and working time. On these days the chamfering is done by simple by means of man power. In these the labor use hand drill and using the man power it produce chamfer the job. The job will finish in period of time and labor should create the operation spend more time on one job depending on hole in the job. It takes more man power on chamfering operation. It produces one chamfer at a time. It is time consuming operation. It is inaccurate process. Modification in design of gang chamfering machine. Save time of process. Reduces the cycle time. Improve accuracy. Increase productivity of company. The device affords plenty of scope for modifications, further improvements and operational efficiency, which should make it commercially available and attractive. If taken up for commercial production and marketed properly, we are sure it will be accepted in the industry. |
