Abstract |

A facial recognition system is an application or technique which can automatically identify and verify a person from an image or a video frame. It can be done by comparing some distinctive facial features of the face from the image. One of the way is to do this is by comparing selected facial features from the image and a facial database. It is mostly used in security systems. Recently face recognition started attracting attention in the multimedia sector. Face recognition helps in securing network access control from hackers and also make it more user friendly during the identification process. In this paper we focus on 2D and 3D facial recognition system. |
