Abstract

On this sutdy, a static synchronous series compensator (sssc) is used to investigate the effect of this tool in controlling active and reactive powers in addition to damping electricity machine oscillations in brief mode. The sssc geared up with a source of power in the dc link can supply or soak up the reactive and active electricity to or from the line. Simulations were done in matlab/simulink environment. Simulation outcomes acquired for selected bus-2 in two machine energy system indicates the efficacy of this compensator as one of the records devices member in controlling strength flows, accomplishing the desired cost for active and reactive powers, and damping oscillations as it should be.
