Abstract

Rapid prototyping (RP) techniques have been utilized by engineers to produce three-dimensional (3D) objects. 3D printing has been common option for prototyping. Various studies have been done and still many are ongoing regarding the materials for 3D printing, whose properties approach towards ideality for a particular problem. This paper suggests a material called “HEMP PLASTIC”, made from hemp cellulose, as a base material in 3-D Printing technology. We will first look at what actually 3-D Printing is and what is so significant about this. Then we shall focus on how the use of hemp plastic as a base material in 3-D Printing can revolutionize the field of manufacturing. Finally, the future potential of this is highlighted.
