Domestic Wastewater Treatment by Root Zone Technology using Macrophytes
-Piyush P. Pal ; Prof. Jayant Ramteke; Prof. Hira Lilhare
This project examines Root Zone Technology by using macrophytes, which is a low-cost and environmentally friendly method of wastewater treatment. To effectively treat domestic and industrial effluents, the root zone treatment and macrophytes treatment system uses a natural method. The wetlands bed will be divided into number of zones: soil layer, sand layer, coal layer and aggregate layer. Root zone plants (Colocasia esculenta) planted on the top layer and then treated with floating macrophytes (Pistia stratiotes/Spirodela and Lemna). When wastewater passes through the top and intermediate layers, all suspended solids become trapped in the pores of soil and sand, and the remaining solids are removed by bacteria. After passing through filter bed water is allow to store in another chamber where water is treated with floating macrophytes which utilizes dissolve and suspended nutrients and helps to reduce concentration of pollution of waste water. The effluent characteristics such as pH, color, odor, BOD, COD, TDS, TSS, Nitrogen, and Phosphate determined. The result shows a reduction in parameters Because of the longer detention periods, the removal rate is increasing. The goal of this project is to determine which wastewater treatment method is the most cost-effective in comparison to traditional wastewater treatment methods. The conventional method is unsuitable for rural areas due to its high cost. One of the alternative wastewater treatment technologies is the Root Zone technology combine with macrophytes. This Treatment process is simple to use, requires little installation, and requires little maintenance. It is also less expensive than traditional treatment systems. To reap the benefits of this technology and ensure long-term development, it must be fully utilized in developing countries such as India. Read More...

Comparative Analysis of Reinforced Concrete and Composite Steel Frame Structure
-Aman Kumar ; Jyoti Yadav
Steel production is increasing in practically every country. In comparison to the United States, the European Union, and other industrialized nations, India uses steel structures in building less. In addition, cities in India have among the highest population density per square kilometer, limiting horizontal development and supporting vertical growth. Concrete constructions are enormous and provide greater seismic weight, but steel structures are more ductile and deflection resistant. Steel and concrete qualities are combined in composite construction with the aid of ETAB software, static analysis according to IS1893:2002 is carried out for three-dimensional models RCC frame structure and RC-steel composite frame structure. For G+9, there is a comparison between the RCC frame structure and the RC-steel composite frame structure. Read More...

Design Analysis of Steel Concrete Composite Construction in the Flooring System Using Different Shear Connection Methods
-Aman Kumar ; Jyoti Yadav
Experimental and theoretical studies on the structural behaviour of composite concrete slabs with trapezoidal type profiled steel decking. The slab is formed by a composite interaction between the concrete and steel deck, which includes embossments to increase the shear bond properties of the concrete and steel deck. However, it fails in the presence of a longitudinal shear bond because of the difficult phenomena of shear behaviour that occurs. Because of this, full-scale experimental testing were conducted to study the shear bond strength during bending tests in line with Eurocode 4 - Part 1 of the European Standard. To test for distinct shear span lengths under static and cyclic loadings on simply supported slabs, specimens are divided into two sets of one specimen each, with each set being tested for a different shear span length under static and cyclic loadings on simply supported slabs. We examine the longitudinal shear bond strength between the concrete and steel deck using an analytical approach, and we compare the findings with the values obtained using standard concrete. Utilizing E-TABS to Analyze and Design Residential Buildings Structure
-Khan Gufran Ahmed Mohammed Gaus. ; Jyoti Yadav
The determination of the behavior of structures, to anticipate the reactions of various structural components in response to the influence of loads, is the focus of the subfield known as structural analysis. The many sorts of loads that are often taken into consideration include dead load, live load, earthquake load, and wind load. Every building will be exposed to either one of the categories of loads. Extended Three-Dimensional Analysis of Building System, or ETABS for short, is a piece of software that can analyze and design buildings. It incorporates all of the major analysis engines, including static, dynamic, linear, and non-linear, amongst others, and its primary purpose is to analyze and design buildings. The purpose of our project titled "Analysis and Design of Commercial building using ETABS software" is to make an effort to analyze and design a commercial building using ETABS. For this research, a structure of G+5 storeys is being evaluated. The analysis is performed using the static approach, and the design is carried out following the requirements provided by IS 456:2000. Additionally, an effort was made to hand-design the structural aspects of the building. Drawing and details are carried out with the assistance of CAD by SP 34. Read More...

Study on the Stability of High-Rise Buildings Utilizing Shear Wall by ETABs Technique
-Khan Gufran Ahmed Mohammed Gaus ; Jyoti Yadav
The current development of high-rise buildings is bringing new heights to the industry, but it is also posing a significant challenge to structural engineers. Reinforced concrete, plywood (timber), and unreinforced masonry are often used for shear walls. Concrete is often used to make shear walls. Shear walls are often seen in stairwells between columns, elevator wells, bathrooms, and utility shafts, among other places. In compared to prior high rise structures, today's tall towers are getting slimmer, allowing for greater sway. The Floor Spacing Index (FSI), a transportation and safety indicator in Indian cities, is expanding significantly these days. Wind and earthquake lateral forces are frequently resisted by shear walls that run parallel to the lateral load direction. The lateral loads are transferred to the foundation via these shear walls' shearing resistance and resistance to overturning. The primary goal of this study is to compare the performance of a G+15-story high-rise building with and without shear walls in seismic zone IV. Shear wall design and optimization is done using ETAB Software, and the shear walls are arranged to resist lateral forces in zone IV throughout the structure according to Indian codes. Read More...

Analysis of High-Rise Building Design Using Hybrid Steel-Concrete Structural Components
-Paleti Surendra ; Jyoti Yadav
The issues faced during the structural design of a high-rise structure in a seismic location are presented in this research. The structure is an office building with a narrow base and 20 floors, including the basement levels. Providing a correct structural system to withstand wind and earthquake effects, as well as designing a good base to prevent the whole building from flipping, are some of the obstacles. Another crucial consideration is to keep the tales from drifting while yet providing enough open space for the workplace. Hybrid structures do not act like reinforced concrete structures in the Eurocode 2 sense, nor do they behave like composite structures in the Eurocode 4 meaning. As a result of this, and because of a lack of understanding of the issue of force transfer between steel and concrete, designing buildings with hybrid steel-concrete parts may be challenging. Several models are compared to structural systems comprised of reinforced concrete, Hybrid steel-concrete components, and a variety of other systems. Read More...

A Comparative Analysis of High Rise Buildings of Different Geometrical Shapes Subjected to Wind Load for RCC and Composite Structures
-Paleti Surendra ; Jyoti Yadav
In today's current high-rise building construction, lateral loads such as wind loads are a key problem. Steel - Concrete Composite building, on the other hand, has acquired widespread recognition across the globe as a viable alternative to pure steel or pure concrete construction. In comparison to RCC constructions, composite structures are better suited for high-rise buildings, according to the study. They have great rigidity, stability, and strength, which may be used to withstand enormous lateral wind loads while still supporting the structure's gravity loading. In this research, ETABS 15 software was used to conduct a comparative analysis of high-rise buildings for different geometrical forms exposed to wind stress for both RCC and Composite structures. The three geometrical shapes of Rectangular, Triangular, and Plus are used with the same base plan and floor-to-floor height. All of the frames are examined first with an RCC frame and then with a Steel-Concrete Composite frame. The structure is made up of G+15 storeys. The maximum storey displacement, maximum storey shear, and maximum storey moment for both Reinforced Concrete and Steel-Concrete Composite structures were calculated using ETABS 15 software, and comparisons were made for all three geometrical shapes to see which has the most stability and resistance to wind load among all the cases considered. -Santhosh M S ; R. Purushothaman; C. Sivasakthi; R. Sunil Kumar; U. Vasanth
Due to their unique qualities such as formability, room temperature processing, and affordable nature, polymer matrix composites (PMCs) merit a key part in the new generation engineering materials. The primary goal of this project is to evaluate the mechanical behaviour (flexural and tensile) of unfilled and 5, 10 Wt. percent ammonium poly phosphate (APP) filled Jute/E-Glass hybrid composites made using an open mould technique. The presence of APP has a significant impact on the mechanical characteristics of Jute/E-Glass/Epoxy composites, according to the results of the studies. The addition of APP powder increased the void percentage and densities in a reasonable way, however the tensile strength decreased steadily. The characteristics of Jute/E-Glass reinforced with 5 wt. percent APP are superior, whereas the tensile modulus of CJute/E-Glass reinforced with 10 wt. percent APP is better. To determine the best filler reinforcement %, APP, fibre topologies were compared to unreinforced composite laminates. For a better understanding of failure circumstances, SEM pictures of fragmented surfaces were collected. Read More...

Soft Starting of Three Phase Induction Motor
-Amol Gaikwad ; Shubham Mane; Sourabh Badashaha; PAVAN HATTIMARE; Dr. S. P. Jolhe
This project is designed to provide smooth and smooth starting of three-phase asynchronous motors. The three-phase induction motor generates much more current than its initial starting capacity, so the motor immediately reaches full speed. This causes muscle jerks and high electrical loads on the motor windings. Sometimes the coils can burn out. Asynchronous motors should start smoothly and gradually increase speed for safer operation. This project is intended to provide smooth starting of an induction motor powered by SCR ignition which is triggered by a strong ignition delay angle during starting, then gradually reduces the delay until it reaches zero voltage trip. This results in low voltage at start-up and then gradually to full voltage. As a result, the motor starts slowly and then resumes slowly at full speed. This project consists of six counter-parallel SCRs, two for each phase, the output of which is connected to a group of lamps representing the windings of a three-phase induction motor. The charging and discharging of the capacitor is interfaced with the comparator, resulting in a delayed ignition pulse during starting, then gradually reducing the delay until the engine runs at full speed. The output of the comparator is provided by photodetectors to trigger the SCRs. Read More...

The research has been conducted for a town like kotha which is facing the problem of drought prone. Water absorbing pavement is a new technique in pavement construction. The roads are ordinary type i.e. concrete road, wbm road and bituminous roads. If we replace these roads by water absorbing pavement we can save large quantity of water. Pervious concrete pavement material has ability to allow the water to flow through itself for increasing ground water table and to reduce the surface storm water and make a road surface skid resistance. It can be introduced in low traffic area and use in rural surrounding area. Pervious concrete is an effective method for handling and reducing the negative impact. If pervious concrete can be implemented it will have various positive effects on the environment. It is a unique and effective way to conserve the important environmental issues and support green, sustainable growth. By collecting storm water and allowing it to flow into the ground. One of the main characteristics of pervious road is that it contains voids that allow water to percolate through to the base materials below. It also reduces peak storm water flow and water pollution and promotes ground recharge. Read More...

Implementation and Analysis of Monte Carlo Tree Search and Minimax Algorithm for Computer to Play Dots and Boxes
-Mr. Charan Pote ; Sagar Singh; Dhruv Shende; Sahil Bhonde; Ritik Satokar
Implementation and analysis of Monte Carlo Tree Search and Minimax algorithm for computers to play Dots and Boxes is the online version of the pen and paper game, Dots and Boxes which the most is widely played game. We have made the Dots and Boxes game Convenient, Fast to Play, & of course pleasing to the eye (with our UI). The Rules of the game are simple: Players take turns joining two horizontally or vertically adjacent dots by a line. A player/Computer that completes the fourth side of a square (a box) colours that box and must play again. When all boxes have been colored, the game ends, and the player/Computer who has colored more boxes wins. Easy Right? Well not that easy when you play, it challenges your critical thinking as the game progresses. Keeping that in mind we also have scores counted by computer and shown as the boxes get colored to make sure the player knows. We have used Artificial Intelligence Algorithms Monte Carlo Tree Search for searching the game tree. Monte-Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) and other algorithms like MiniMax or Alpha-Beta pruning are used to play against human players and also against themselves, The process of Monte Carlo Tree Search can be broken down into four distinct steps, i.e. selection, expansion, simulation, and backpropagation. Minimax algorithm plays a critical role in selecting moves that will try to find moves that give fewer points to the opponent and more to the computer making it tough on an opponent. Read More...

Advance Offset Coupling
-Pratik Ramesh Girigosavi ; Sunil Bhausaheb Bhosale; Sanket Shivaji Shelke; Rahul Surendra Netane
A coupling is a gadget used to interface two shafts together at their v. The basic role of couplings is to join two parts of rotating elements while permitting some degree of misalignment or end movement or both. By cautious selection, establishment and support of couplings, generous reserve funds can be made in decreased maintenance cost and downtime. Presently Oldham’s coupling and Universal joints are used for parallel offset power transmission and angular offset transmission. These joints have limitations on maximum offset distance / angle/ speed and result in vibrations and low efficiency (below 70%). The three pin constant velocity joint is an alteration in design that offers upto 12 mm parallel offset and 15 degree angular offset, at high speeds upto 2000 or 2500 rpm @ 90% efficiency. This design lowers cost of production, space requirement and simply technology of manufacture as compared to present CVJ in market. Read More...

Modification in Driving System for Four Wheeler Automobile Vehicles
-Jitendra Kumar
Generally we drive the four wheeler automobiles by using clutch, brake and race. The vehicle is derived and controlled perfectly by using required combination of all these three. To change the gear instantly the clutch is pressed to disengage the driven shaft to the drive shaft. But here all these three clutch, brake and race are controlled separate pedals again and again. It makes the driving task laborious and critical. If we engage the clutch and race both together and drive them by using single pedal then it will be less laborious and easy also. Here a concept will be used that when the pedal is pressed down 5% the clutch will be engaged and on further pressing the race will work with the present condition of engaged gear and when the force is released from the pedal, this pedal comes back in original position, the clutch is disengaged. At that time we can change the gear. And again when the pedal is pressed down the clutch will be engaged and race will work also with changed gear. Hence by providing this improvement only two pedals will be required to drive and control the four wheeler automobiles as brake pedal and clutch – race pedal. For safety a extra hand lever will be required to disengage the clutch in locking or not working condition of the foot clutch, which is fixed just side to the emergency brake lever. Read More...

Floating Member Support Joint
-Gorade Rutik Santosh ; Kanavade Akshay Rajendra; Kandalkar Akash Narayan; Arote Sudarshan Narayan; Prof. Subodh Ghadage
TTR (TATA TOYO Radiator LTD) has receiving RFQ from Various customers like Toyota, Volvo, Tata Motors, Volvo Eicher, Kole, Cummins, Swaraj, Force Motors Mahindra & Mahindra for their BS 6 engines cooling a module which includes Radiator, CAC, EGR, Condenser, Heater core etc. Radiator is a heat exchanger which consists of Aluminum core, top & bottom tank, member support etc. This aluminum core is subjected to continuous working temperature from 0° to 120° under vehicle working condition. Due to this the aluminum core experiences expansion & contraction phenomenon. This phenomenon induces thermal stress in radiator core. This thermal stress leads to core leakage as the member support joint with core is of fixed type causing failure. This leakage further detoriates the performance of cooling system. To take care of this thermal stress we have introduced floating type mounting design for radiator. Floating type joint comes rubber grommet along with shoulder bolt & prevailing type nut. Rubber grommet is assembled with plastic tank of radiator. Member supports are used to hold the radiator core with tanks & these member support are fixed with the help of shoulder bolt & a clinched nut. These members support is provided with slot design which enables the radiator assembly free to slide in the direction of core expansion. The step which is provided on shoulder bolt avoids the compression of rubber after application of torque. As the name indicates, this joint becomes a flexible joint in which the core is free to float between the slots provided on member support. There was a need to design the radiator construction which can be free to expand when tubes are strained from the effect of thermal loading, yet to be firmly assembled and absorb vibration load for longer durability requirements. As a past experience, of sizable field complaints on tube crack issue, in present fixed construction design, it was decided to overcome this issue, in future designs, while migrating to next level emission norms where cooling systems are substantially changed. -Mr. Pawan Devidas Chavan ; Mr. Rohit Appasaheb Gunjal ; Mr. Tejas Arun Kuldharan ; Mr. Mohammed Muzammil Razzaque Pathan ; Ms. Archana R. Ugale
Last two years since 2019 have proven to be very dreadful where a lot of lives where lost due to covid-19 pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic proved introduced a lot of anxiety and uncertainty among the population. People shared a lot of things on the social media which proved to be helpful as well as panicky. Due to good thoughts on social media the general population found hope in the devastating pandemic, but with fake social media posts it also created panic among general population due to which a lot of lives where lost due to panic. So social media posts have to be monitored so that correct sentiment of the Covid-19 pandemic can be understood. So, a project has been designed with the help of latest technologies such as text mining, natural language processing and machine learning together. In our project we are going to use twitter as our social media platform as lakhs of tweets are posted daily and can give correct insight of the pandemic and other posts related to it. We are developing the application using a combination of java and python languages. First in our application we will fetch real time tweets using Twitter API. Then the incoming tweets will be cleaned. The cleaned tweets will then be more refined using stop words removal method. Then the stop words removed tweets will then be passed through lemmatization and only words with grammar will be kept. Thus, the final tweets after lemmatization can be used for machine learning. We will design a training dataset used for machine learning using various mediums available on the internet. Then finally we will apply machine learning algorithms SVM and Naïve Bayes and get correct classification of the tweets in two classes positive and negative. Thus, by using the analysis we will be able to understand the correct sentiment behind the tweets and understand emotions behind the Covid-19 pandemic. Read More...

-Toshika Varshney ; Deeva Gupta; Shivani Verma ; Aditya Tandon
In Information Technology (IT) sector, the demand of technical work and new smart technologies increasing day by day and we all know that in order to manage all work, important files, data, research, documentation, teaching, software designing, automation tools, algorithms, etc, we need a computer to serve this purpose responsibly. Serving such great operations that involves high confidentiality and security, it is a big concern to look forward for data and information security, as it can be extremely vulnerable to exploitation of data and resources once get into wrong hands. Whether it is College, Hospitals, Workstations, Cybercafé, Corporates, Companies, Teaching hubs, etc there is a need to let people have access to computer’s credentials and operate it by their side. The concern here is that if someone get to know about PC’s password as it is been provided by admins, the person then has full access to the system and can exploit it in many ways, by changing password of PC, or access C drive and make changes in it, delete some important protected file or can do any mischief into system. In order to prevent such mischief and taking one step ahead into security of system A smart Pc Login System is required that can solve this problem in efficient manner. In the direction to solve this issue A Smart RFID based Login System is designed in such a manner that there is no need to provide actual password to the user, rather there is only need to scan the respective RFID card into the Scanner and PC will login automatically. This will restrict the user to play with system’s password and whenever the user play any mischief the pc will ask for password to enter that user will not know. This will enhance the system security and provide protection to valuable data. This system only needs an Arduino Uno R3, RFID scanner, and RFID cards. This will make the system affordable and valuable. Read More...

Performance of Recycled Aggregate Concrerte Using Silicate Glass Powder and Mining Powder
-Vikas
Concrete is widely used construction material in the construction industry due to its versatility, durability and economy. The growth rate of urbanization in India is very high due to the rapid industrialization. Hundreds of concrete structures are being constructed on a daily basis. This increases the demand of the raw materials needed for construction i.e. cement, aggregates, sand etc. The increase in the demand leads to depletion of the natural resources and environmental degradation, also this rapid industrialization results in demolition of old concrete structures to build new ones. Using crushed concrete as fill and sub-grade material for roads, sidewalks and foundations is a common practice. However, research has been going on worldwide over the years to investigate the use of crushed concrete from demolished old concrete structures to fully or completely replace the natural aggregates in concrete structures. This present study aims to investigate experimentally the use of recycled aggregates and partial replacement of cement using silicate glass powder and mining powder one at a time as a mineral admixture for abrasion strength in cement concrete. In this study, the cement was partially replaced with silicate glass powder (SGP) and mining powder (MP) at varying proportion (2.5%, 5%, 7.5% and 10%). The replacement of natural coarse aggregate is done with recycled coarse aggregate (RCA) which is fixed at 20 % in all samples to investigate the abrasive resistance. From this study, it was noticed that in silicate glass powder, abrasive strength of recycled aggregates concrete remains almost same till the sample containing 5% of silicate glass. On further increasing the silicate glass content from 5% to 10%, a sudden decrease in the percentage of weight loss was noted. For mining powder abrasive strength of recycled aggregates decreases with the increase in mining powder till 2.5%. On further increasing the amount of mining powder content from 2.5% to 10% gradual decreases in the percentage of weight loss was observed. It was observed that the partial replacement of cement with the silicate glass powder and the mining powder both will increase the abrasive resistance of concrete at varying proportions (2.5%, 5%, 7.5% and 10%). -Mr. K. R. Biradar ; Praveen Satalgaon ; Priyanka Adinolu
Paper aims at designing a student attendance system which could effectively manage attendance of students at educational institutes. Attendance is marked after student identification. For student identification, a fingerprint recognition-based identification system is used. Fingerprints are considered to be the best and fastest method for biometric identification. They are secure to use, unique for every person and does not change in one’s lifetime. Fingerprint recognition is a mature field today, but still identifying individual from a set of enrolled fingerprints is a time taking process. It was our responsibility to improve the fingerprint identification system for implementation on large databases e.g. of an institute or a country etc. In this paper, many new algorithms have been used e.g. gender estimation, key based one to many matching, removing boundary minutiae. Using these new algorithms, we have developed an identification system which is faster in implementation than any other available today in the market. Although we are using this fingerprint identification system for student identification purpose, the matching results are so good that it could perform very well on large databases like that of a country like India (MNIC Project). -Sohan S. Kumawat ; Paresh N. Pawar; Shubham R. Sonawane; Mr. Yogesh K. Mogal
In this research aims at developing a mechanism for easy transportation of heavy loads over stairs. The need for such a system arises from day-to-day requirements in our society. Devices such as hand trolleys are used to relieve the stress of lifting while on flat ground; however, these devices usually fail when it comes to carrying the load over short fleet of stairs. In the light of this, the research attempts to design a stair climbing hand cart which can carry heavy objects up the stairs with less effort compared to carrying them manually. It also endeavors to study the commercial viability and importance of such a product. Several designs were conceived that would allow a non-industrial hand trolley to travel over stairs, curbs, or uneven terrain while reducing the strain on the user. In this research, the trolley is equipped with Tri-Star wheels which enable us to carry load up and down the stairs. It also eases the movement of trolley in irregular surfaces like holes, bumps, etc. Read More...

-Mr. P.M.Wale ; Aditi Dhadve; Neha Raut; Mahesh Oza; Pratik Shinde
The growth rate of vehicles is the backbone of economic development of any country. India is the second fast growing automobile industry in the world. In today’s era solid waste management is the thrust area. It is estimated that 60% waste tyre are disposed in different routes in the urban as well as rural area. Waste tyre are categorized as solid or hazardous waste this leads to create various problems on human beings as well as aquatic life. Due to its burning and dumping the tyre in sea shore. On the other side, the traffic intensity is also increasing. As a result amount of waste tyre is also increasing. The increase in consumption of waste tyre has generated many problems such as increase in landfill space, environmental pollution and causing health hazards. Parallel to this is the increasing of roads construction as a result of heavy traffic on road. This study reviews to use the crumb rubber (waste tyres in powder form) in bitumen. The study focuses on the crumb rubber as a replacement to the total weight of bitumen. The design or life span for all highways and urban roads is 10-20 years. Unfortunately, damages distresses on pavements are still occurring before reaching the maximum period of the design serviceability. Among the major influencing factor that is contributing to the distress is the repeated heavy traffic loading on the road surfaces. Moreover, the use of waste crumb rubber in road construction as a pavement surface as a better skid resistance, fatigue crack resistance and increases rut resistance. The review includes physical test that are used to determine the physical properties of bitumen and modified crumb rubber mix. The physical tests involves penetration test, ductility test, softening point test, specific gravity. The expectations from the study are to develop bitumen with waste crumb rubber that would minimize the cost as well waste rubber up to some extent. And providing better physical properties compare to the convention bitumen based on the tests that was conducted. Read More...
