Energy Efficient Protocol for Wireless Sensor Network: A Survey
-Geetika ; Anamika Chhabra
Wireless Sensor Network gained attention from the research community and users. In WSN, the sensor nodes are spread over a network or geographical area to monitor the environment and physical conditions and collect the data. The data then send to the sink node/ base station by cluster head (CH have largest energy and elected to receive the data which is further send to sink node or base station). The sensors are sensitive to energy consumption and cannot be recharged and replaced. [7][10] The radio transmission and receiving data process consume more energy. We have to design or develop more effective and energy aware protocol to enhance stability or lifetime of the network. Clustering is the technique provides more energy efficient network. It is based on node connectivity and splitting & merging of cluster performance. There are homogeneous and heterogeneous network in WSN, but heterogeneous network provides more efficient results. Read More...

Wireless Power Transmission for Internal Pacemaker
-B.ANANTH BHATT
This paper presents a wireless power transfer (WPT) system for powering internal pacemaker. A pacemaker is a small device that's placed in the chest or abdomen to help control abnormal heart rhythms. This device uses electrical pulses to prompt the heart to beat at a normal rate. The battery in the pacemaker lasts five to eight years or longer. When the battery runs down, surgery is needed to replace it. This paper provides a way of using rechargeable batteries for the pacemaker thereby avoiding frequent surgery. Based on a generic transcutaneous transformer model, a remote power supply using a resonant topology for use in artificial hearts is analysed and designed for easy controllability and high efficiency. There is a transmitter section and a receiver section in this process. The receiver section is placed in the patient along with the pacemaker. When the charge of the battery goes down, the transmitter section is placed nearer to the patient and thus recharging takes place. This proposed scheme allows a compact, efficient, and robust wireless power system. It has a efficiency of 70% . Index terms - wireless power transfer (WPT), internal pacemaker, rechargeable battery. Read/Write Analysis of FinFET based 8T SRAM using 22nm gate length
-varun gupta
CMOS devices are scaling down to nano ranges resulting in increased process variations and short channel effects which not only affect the reliability of the device but also performance expectations. The SRAM design uses the smallest transistors possible and is also susceptible to reliability issues and process variations, making it an ideal benchmark circuit to compare technologies . Low power static-random access memories (SRAM) have become a critical component in modern VLSI systems. They occupy a large portion of area and accounts for a major component of power consumption in today’s VLSI circuits.
In this paper, new SRAM design for FinFET technology are proposed. The FinFET has very good candidate for future VLSI due to its simple architecture and better performance when compare to SOI MOSFET . FinFET based SRAM has been proposed as an alternative solution to the bulk device. FinFET has better scalability and better short channel effect. In this paper a study of designing and writting operation of 8T finfet SRAM using Visual TCAD tool . Information Maximization in Multihop Wireless Sensor Network Using TDOA within Resource Constraints
-Shahid Mohi Ud Din ; Mohd Sadim
We study the problem of information maximizing in a wireless sensor network (WSN) within resource constraints. We consider a sensor network with a tree topology, where the root corresponds to the sink, and the rest of the network detects an event and transmits data to the sink. This paper is concerned with source localization based on time-difference-of-arrival (TDOA) measurements from spatially separated sensors in a wireless sensor network (WSN). Most of the existing works adopt a centralized sensor pairing strategy, where one sensor node is chosen as the common reference. However, due to the bandwidth and power constraints of multihop WSNs, it is well known that this kind of centralized methods is energy consuming due to the need of single and multihop transmissions of raw measurement data. In this letter, we propose a decentralized in-network sensor pairing method to acquire TDOA measurements for source localization. It is proved that the proposed decentralized in-network sensor pairing method can result in the same Cramer–Rao-Bound (CRB) as the centralized one at a far less communication cost.
We show that this optimization problem is NP-hard in the strong sense when the input is the maximum node degree of the tree. We then propose a dynamic programming framework for solving the problem exactly, which involves solving a special case of the job interval selection problem at each node. Our solution has a polynomial time complexity when the maximum node degree is O (log N) in a tree with N nodes. For trees with higher node degrees, we further develop a suboptimal solution, which has low complexity and allows distributed implementation. We investigate tree structures for which this solution is optimal to the original problem. The efficiency of the suboptimal solution is further demonstrated through numerical results on general trees.

Cellphone Protection Using Voice Recognition
-B. Dinesh ; Dr. D. Venkat Subramanian
Cellular communication industry has grown leaps and bounds to become the essence of day to day science. Cell phone is the heart of cellular industry. The number of cell phone users is growing exponentially. But the privacy of user and security of cell phone remains a challenging question. Stealing cell phone has become the eye catching business for culprits. There should be a reliable method of protecting the instrument from burglars. My paper proposes a new innovative, reliable, fool proof security measure for cell phones using VOICE RECOGNITION (a Biometric Approach).Voice recognition is the identification of an individual identity using speech as the identifying characteristic. The voice of the user is processed (Speech Processing) using a digital signal processor which is the prime part of a cell phone. We are programming this DSP to implement this protection technique.Firstly an original voice database of the user is created. This database is stored in the Flash ROM which is available inside the cell phone. Then whenever the user speaks through the cell phone part of the speech sample is taken and stored. This processed voice of the user is compared with the original database to check the identity of the user. If the user is authorized, he is allowed to continue his talk. If not the transmission is cut abruptly by making the DSP in idle state. Thus the cell phone is being protected from any unauthorized user. Even if the cell phone was stolen or missed it won’t be useful for any other person. The programmability of DSP and universality of Voice based identification has given our method a dual advantage. Our proposal demands neither external hardware nor extra cost. The above method poses no hardship for the user unlike the present security systems. This method can be adopted universally in all models of Cell phones for protection. Read More...

Applied Web Protection
-Narendran.S
Openness is a key criterion of protection algorithms and protocols which enable them to be subjected to scrutiny by independent security experts. The alternative “methodology†of hidden proprietary algorithms and protocols has frequently concluded in useful breaks, e.g. of the MIFARE Oyster cards for area transport or the Keelson remote control systems. Open evaluation is public for finished requests of security ,e.g. the NIST competitions for selection of the Elevated Encryption Standard (AES) and the Safeguard Hash Algorithm 3 (SHA-3). Now a days an rising number of embedded protection requests apply the principle of open evaluation as well. A present example is the speciï¬cation of an open protection protocol stack for car immobilizer requests by Atmel, that has been gave at ESCAR 2010. This stack is primarily intended to be utilized in conjunction alongside automotive transponder chips of this producer, but might in principle be used on each suitable type of transponder chip. In this paper we examine the protection of this protocol stack. We were able to uncover a number of possible security vulnerabilities, for that we counsel ï¬xes. Read More...

Detection and Classification of Healthy or Unhealthy Region of Plant Leaves with Graphical User Interface
-VIJENDRA ; Geeta Hanji; M.V. Latte
The detection of plant leaf disease is a very important factor to prevent serious outbreak. Plant diseases have turned into a difficult situation as it can cause significant reduction in both quality and quantity of agricultural products. Automatic detection of plant diseases is an essential research topic as it may fetch benefits in monitoring large fields of crops, and thus automatically detect the symptoms of diseases as soon as they appear on plant leaves. The developed processing scheme consists of four main steps: first a color transformation structure for the input RGB image is created and this RGB is converted to YCbCr because RGB is for color generation and YCbCr for color descriptor. Then green pixels are masked and removed using specific threshold value, then the image is segmented and the useful segments are extracted, finally the extracted features are passed through the SVM classifier, then the presence of diseases on the plant leaf is evaluated. -Bidhan Chandra Biswas ; Ashis Kumar Panigrahi
Jhenidah is an important district situated in southwestern part of Bangladesh. A large number of rivers are passing through the district and Nabaganga is a major river in Jhenidah. The river has a vital role in sociological, economical and environmental aspects. Most of the urban settlements are lie on the bank of the river and the inhabitants of the riverside areas are largely depending on the productivity of the river. But recently river ecosystem is badly degraded by anthropogenic activities over the two or three decades. The river received large amount of domestic and agricultural wastes, industrial waste, resulting the degradation of water quality affected directly the productivity of the ecosystem. Jute retting is another cause of water quality degradation. excess use of fertilizer and pesticides in agricultural field in order to cope up the crop yield mainly in irrigation and vegetable cultivation ultimately find its destination in natural water like rivers and lakes increase the nutrient concentration ,heavy metal infestation in aquatic environment. Excessive nutrients in water causes the overgrowth of plankton and aquatic plants causes the depletion of oxygen in water responsible for fish kills. Attempts were made to deal with the availability of fishes and to assess the negative impact of pollutants on aquatic ecosystem. Read More...

A Study on The Impact of Soil Reinforcement on Retaining Wall using Locally Available Damodar Sand as Back Fill Material
-Ashish Kumar Pathak ; Prof. Krishna Murari; Dr. V. Pandey; Chandan Kumar; C. R. Sharma
The term “Reinforced Earth†or “Reinforced Soil†is used to describe a Soil mass reinforced with tension resistant element. Reinforced Earth is primarily a composite material, conceived by the French Engineer Henary Vidal in 1966. It is combination of Soil, generally cohesion less and the tension resistant element in the form of strips, sheets, synthetic fabrics or fibre reinforced plastics. The reinforcement is so arranged in the Soil mass as to reduce or suppress the tensile strains which might develop under gravity forces. The Soil is held in position by the frictional force developed between the Soil particle and the reinforcement. The Soil mass in between two successive reinforcement layers are assumed to be held in position by arch action. Reinforced Earth has found great use in construction of retaining structures. Reinforced Earth walls are generally economical when the sub Soil conditions are poor. Its construction is very rapid and is able to withstand considerable settlements. The present study is mainly based to investigate the increased retaining capacity of retaining walls without any increase in the thickness of the wall element with increased height compared to retaining earth without reinforcement. The study aims at verification and establishment of the concept of increased retaining capacity of retaining walls with increased height and slender sections with limited experiment using Damodar sand and steel strips reinforcements. The results of the experiment have established the postulate. Its purpose is to illustrate procedures to arrive at reinforced earth construction. In this work a tremendous increment in retaining capacity of reinforced earth retaining wall is observed. Read More...
