Modified Map Reduce Model using Fuzzy Neural Network
-Vatsal Gor
The MapReduce paradigm is now the de facto standard for processing and generation large scale datasets. Generally in MapReduce paradigm, user specifies a map function that processes a key/value pair to generate a set of intermediate key-value pairs & reduce function which merges all intermediate values associated with the same intermediate key. This paradigm is enough to solve many real world problems. Here fuzzy neural network is applied in the MapReduce paradigm to improve its efficiency. It is also referred as Neuro-fuzzy which is combination of artificial neural network and fuzzy logic. Now, here the key/value generated pair via map function is feed as input in neuro fuzzy system or model to improve efficiency of current map reduce paradigm. The proposed Fuzzy Neural Network model aims at training the fuzzy Neural Network model in MapReduce programming model. Since the MapReduce programming model has the ability to rapidly process large amount of data in parallel and can use the outcome of training process for the prediction purpose. This can produce better prediction accuracy. In order to train large data in distributed mode it can be effective in reducing the processing time. Read More...

Image re-ranking is effective way to improve the result of web-based image search has been adopted by current commercial search engine. A query keyword, a pool of images first retrieved by the search engine based on the information which is given by user in the form of text. Asking the user to select a query image from the set the minus images are re-ranked based on their visual similarities with the query image. Query and Image based recommendation sorted by the method of re-ranking provides an accurate output of images based on the visual semantic signature of the query image. In query based recommendation, expansion of keywords provides better result whereas in image recommendation, re-ranking based on priority of images accessed by other users provides more accurate results. At the online stage, image is re-ranked by comparing their semantic signature obtained from the visual specified by the query keyword. Read More...

Future of Big Data beyond Batch Processing
-Mansi Shah ; Vatika Tayal
In recent years, big data are generated from a variety of sources, and there is an enormous demand for storing, managing, processing, and querying on big data. The MapReduce framework and its open source implementation Hadoop, has proven itself as the de facto solution for processing large amounts of data in parallel, and is intrinsically designed for batch processing and high throughput jobs. Although Hadoop has proven as de facto solution for batch jobs, there is growing demand for non-batch applications like: real-time queries, interactive jobs, and big data streams. Since Hadoop is not suitable for these non-batch jobs, new solutions are proposed to meet these new challenges. In this paper, we discuss the strength, features, and shortcomings of the standard MapReduce framework and its open source implementation Hadoop. In addition; we have discussed the significant extensions of MapReduce. Further, we have considered two categories of these solutions: real-time processing, and stream processing of big data. For each category, we have included paradigms and strengths. Read More...

-Harmeet Singh Lamba ; Harmeet Singh Lamba; Prajakta Subhash Patil; Dilip Maheshchandra Nayak; Prof.Shweta B. Barshe
The growing amount of information increases the size of the databases. To search the required information from these big data repositories we need some specially designed search techniques for a specific website. There are many searching techniques, but retrieving relevant information is difficult. To overcome these difficulties, semantic web technologies are playing a vital role. However, expansion terms are usually determined on “term co-occurrences†within records. This paper describes a method of implementing a semantic search using query expansion as well as retrieving relevant information by content ranking. These records are retrieved using query expansion and then they were ranked to provide users with the most relevant information. This proposed method helps the information retrieved maintain its relevance. Read More...

-Parmar Hitendra Valjibhai ; Ketan N Jambu
In this paper energy and exergy analysis method for thermal power plant and analysis carried out on 55 MW coal base thermal power plant of DCM – Shriram Ltd. In the present, increasing demand of power has made the power plants of scientific interest, but majority of the power plants are designed by the energetic performance criteria based on first law of thermodynamics only. The first law of thermodynamics does not give all the ideas about the useful energy loss because the difference between the quality and quantity cannot be justified by it. In the energy analysis we can presents only quantitative results while in exergy analysis one can presents qualitative results about actual energy consumption. In this analysis it is shown that exergy efficiency is less at each and every point of power plant’s component compare to energy efficiency. It also presents major losses of available energy at combustor, super heater, economizer and air-pre heater section. In this article it is also shown energy efficiency, exergy efficiency, exergy destruction and energy losses comparison charts. Read More...

An Overview of Physibillity of Silver Particle in Photographic Waste
-Jariwala Sunny Yogeshkumar ; Himanshu J. Padhya
A novel, simple, fast, cheap and pollution-free method was developed for recovering the silver from waste X-ray photographic ï¬lms. The waste X-ray/ photographic films contain 1.5 - 2 % (w/w) black metallic silver which is recovered and reused. Around 18-20% of the world's silver needs are supplied by recycling photographic waste. The method has a number of advantages because it obviates the need for heating, sedimentation, filtration and melting steps. Moreover, all experiments were carried out in the same flask, unlike other techniques. At the end of the treatment, gelatine layer was completely removed leaving the polyester film clean and silver was recovered in the hydolysate, both of which can be reused. Various parameters such as pH, temperature, time, efficiency etc on silver removal from the film were studied. In photographic industry, silver is recovered from development and fixing solution, spent rinse water and scrap film. To overcome the problem our method has a great potential and has been reported as an advanced technique for recovery of silver. Read More...

A Novel Method for Pulse Detection Using a Resonator
-S.Solasubbu ; V.Dinesh Kumar; A.Mahalingam
Pulse rate is usually checked to estimate overall health and fitness level of the heart. For the most part, the heart rate should be monitored continuously for the patients with heart problems for instance bradycardia or tachycardia. So for continuous monitoring of pulse rate is achieved through photoplethysmography (PPG) which has a drawback of surrounding lights interference. The proposed technique uses a wrist pulse sensor with a resonator which transmit RF signal to the major artery. The RF signal gets reflected from the walls of the radial artery which is sensed by the resonator Antennae. This system shows better results when compared to PPG. Read More...

Multi Key Authentication For MANET
-Mr. Ranjeet Pawar ; Prof. Vidya Chitre
Security is become main concern for widely deploy wireless network due to the broadcast medium and wireless resources are stringently constraints. An adversary can easily join the network and may eavesdrop, intercept, inject, eventually transmit data. Hence it is necessary to adaptively achieve the security according to available resources. In particular Mobile Ad-hoc network (MANET) with cooperative communication present significant security challenges. To prevent the attack like injecting malicious packet, nodes in MANET should able to ensure the source of packet. So it is important to design source authentication scheme which provide low computational overhead and consume less bandwidth. Furthermore, in MANET, multicasting is use to support group communication. To achieve the secure multicast communication is also challenging due to dynamic nature of MANET. The traditional authentication algorithms using public key cryptography are not effective in MANET. To address the challenge of source authentication we have propose MKAuth source authentication technique which is scalable, lightweight, timed, efficient and require less computational overhead. MMAuth use symmetric cryptography with delayed discloser of keys for each time interval. Read More...

A Novel Method For Automatic Optic Disc Elimination From Retinal Fundus Image
-Kokel Hetal N.
Diabetic retinopathy has turned out to be one of the most common causes of vision loss in diabetic patients. Hence, it becomes inevitable for diagnosing it at an early stage. Various visual features like exudates, cotton wool spots, microanuerysms and hemorrhages are responsible for detecting diabetic retinopathy from retinal fundus image. Exudates are basically bright yellow lesions. Optic disc is normal feature of any retinal fundus image which is also highly illuminated region in the fundus image. So, when exudate detection is carried out, optic disc is also detected which gives incorrect output which implies the necessity of optic disc elimination at the preliminary stage of processing. The paper proposes and investigates a novel method for optic disc elimination which involves thresholding and morphological processing on the red channel of the image. The sensitivity of the methodology is found to be 75.02% for ‘diaretdb’ database and 80.95% for images from ‘Bankers Retina Clinic & Laser Centre, Ahmedabad’. Read More...

A Unified Power Conversion Matrix Converter Topology and High Performance PWM Strategies
-R.Anitha ; V.Mohan
The diversified nature of power generation and load requirement make the power conversion as mandatory. The power conversion system involves a converter topology and switching strategy. The power converter becomes helpless if the nature of input changes. For example, for ac loads with dc inputs, an inverter module is preferred and it becomes useless if the input becomes ac. Hence a unique topological structure which can make any type of output from the input given is more appreciable. That is a single topology which can perform all types of power conversions, namely rectification, inversion, dc chopping and cyclo-conversion, is today's need. This paper proposes an unique power converter topology which can perform all above mentioned power conversions. The proficiency of the power converters is more depends on the switching strategy, that is the how the pulse patterns are generated. This paper also proposes two switching strategies for cyclo-conversion. The proposed half wave symmetry variable firing angle method (HWSVFAM) and quarter wave symmetry variable firing angle method (QWSVFAM) offer enhanced fundamental component at low total harmonic distortion (THD). Complete analysis of the proposed topology and the control strategies are done in MATLAB-Simulink tool. Read More...

A prototype system is being developed based on a mobile Smart-phone linked via Web Server to an ARM kit which has a temperature sensor and a gas sensor to enable analysts to self-manage their own industry. It deals with the robust and reliable evaluation of Temperature with a Smart-phone. The objectives of the work are to design the system around a chemical industry. The key principle in design is to make the system accessible to the analyst in the simplest manner. The device available to measure the temperature is LM35 and that to detect the presence of LPG is MQ-6. The system will show the output in a digital manner on an LCD of the kit. These values are sent over the web domain to the Android-based device. The main purpose of the project is to help analyst obtain their industry environment at home and to keep a record of their measurements. Temperature can vary throughout the day depending on activity. One or two measurements taken at different times are not enough to properly define the environment temperature. It is preferable to take numerous measurements. It is in your interest to carry out a large number of measurements. In our project we are successfully integrating temperature sensor IC LM35 and gas sensor MQ-6 with the ARM kit LPC2148 from where the readings are successfully transferred to the mobile device. A New Approach for Web Services Composition
-Patel Ujas Shaileshkumar ; Govind Patel
Semantic web services composition is about finding services from a repository that are able to accomplish a specified task if executed. The task is defined in a form of composition request which contains a set of available input parameters and a set of wanted output parameters. Instead of parameter values, concepts from an ontology describing their semantics are passed to the composition engine. The composer then finds a sequence of services, called a composition. Here three different approaches to semantic web services composition are formally defined and compared with each other: an uninformed search in form of an IDDFS algorithm, a greedy informed search based on heuristic functions, and a multi-objective genetic algorithm. Due to the increasing number of available web services, the search space for finding semantically equivalent services for best service composition is growing exponentially. Here a combination of multi-objective genetic algorithm and greedy informed search based on heuristic functions is proposed for service composition. The greedy algorithm is utilized to generate valid and locally optimized individuals to populate the initial generation for genetic programming (GP), and to perform mutation operations during GP. Here in this context, this work present web service composition which also consider Quality of Service (QoS) parameters. This new proposed hybrid approach can be applied with good performance to the QoS aware service composition problem to find optimal solution for larger service repositories of all sizes and also strongly supporting the knowledge-base. Study, design and analysis of two stage evaporative cooling system
-Prof. Gaurav Gohane ; Vikrant.D.Chaudhary; Rajendra.K.Wanjari; Sanket.N.Manwatkar; Anmol.P.Ambade
In this paper we have studied an assisted evaporative cooling system is design and analysis to get increases in cooling efficiency to get hot environment and reducing a mint of moisture added to air. Evaporative cooling is responsible for the chill you feel when a breeze strikes your skin the air evaporates the water on your skin, with your body heat providing the energy. The ancient Egyptians hung wet mats in their doors and windows, and wind blowing through the mats cooled the air the first attempt at air conditioning. This basic idea was refined through the centuries: mechanical fans to provide air movement in the 16th century, cooling towers with fans that blew water-cooled air inside factories in the early 19th century, swamp coolers in the 20th century. In Two stages evaporative cooling are also known as “Indirect and direct “cooler. In the first stage, incoming air passed through a heat exchanger that can be cools the air without adding moisture. In second stage, air passes through the water soaked pad where the temperature dropped more and air to be pick the water which is increasing the humidity. Here, in this cooling system incoming hot air is first passed through the cooling pad that is heat exchanger when temperature of air to be decreases and this air is again passing through the cooling medium and then evaporated into the atmosphere. so, two stage evaporative cooling system is an smart cooling as considered as an cost factor and power saving. Design and Development of Industrial Generator Silencer
-Patel Praful Manilal ; Gajjar Swastik R
This paper describes the literature review of a Design And Development Of Industrial Generator Silencer. Diesel engine generator sets in heavy industry plants and residential/official buildings can cause serious noise problems. Diesel generators are used very commonly in shops, offices and in industry, today in order to supply power during power shutdowns .Exposure to noise causes detrimental effects on neuroendocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory and digestive systems. Chronic exposure to noise causes fatigue and interferes with concentration, thus reducing work efficiency. Experimental studies on the assessment and control of near-field noise levels due to the operation of a generator were undertaken by employing ant vibration mounts (made up of rubber, polyurethane foam, wool– felt). The enclosure of generator is made up of CRCA sheet of 2mm thickness and use Polyurethane foam of 25mm thickness inside the enclosure which reduce noise level. The muffler is made up of CRCA sheet of 1.2mm thickness, inner assembly is made up of same material. The generator muffler is enclosed with 3mm thick wool-felt for better sound absorption and thermal resistant. The wool-felt reduce the noise level 2dB(A). Silencer is installed to reduce noise where large quantities of high pressure air or gas are discharged into the open air. In this paper CFD analysis technique is used to modify the existing geometry of silencer. Read More...

Optimizing the Level of Inventory by Reducing Uncertainity in Production Management under Variable Demand
-ARAVINDHAN N ; VIGNESH R; SADASIVAN N; RAJESH K; KRISHNAKUMAR M
The quantity of goods and materials on hand is termed as inventory. Optimization of inventory is a difficult task because excess inventory results in high cost and lower inventory results in stock outs. Inventory cost is reduced by forecasting the desired inventory with continuously varying demand. If the transportation cost is less than inventory cost, the inventory level can be separated with respect to production time. When transportation cost exceeds the inventory cost, the products can be purchased in large scale. So in order to reduce the rate of uncertainty a model is developed for managing the level of inventory. This model minimizes the inventory level as the raw materials are purchased at the production start time by knowing the availability of the production sources and it avoids production stoppages. Autonomous Quadcopter using Smartphone
-Suyog V.Muley ; Punam R.Kalpande; Prashant S.Kedar; Vivek M.Kelode; Abhishek S.Chaudhari
In general, Quad copter are very much difficult to control by only manual control without using any sensors. So, if we use some specific motion sensors and apply some algorithms to the values read from these sensors, the Quad copter can itself balance its motion. If we use this technique to control the Quad copter, it can then be called as "Autonomousâ€. The payload of our Quad copter design includes a camera and telemetry that will allow us to watch live video from the Quad copter on a laptop that is located up to 400 m away. The continuation of work on the Quad copter to improve performance and controllability will be continued. Our project has verified that it is possible to build a small-scale Quad copter that could be used for both military and commercial use. These constraints have forced compromise in components selected and methods used for prototype development. Our team’s Quad copter prototype is a very limited version of what could be created in a production facility using more advanced technology. We used smartphone as remote control device. Currently our Quad copter has achieved stability to flight as well as autonomous altitude hold. We are working on our software so that we can achieve better controllable flight. It is possible to produce a small scale UAV that performs functions of interest to the military as well as commercial/industrial applications. Read More...
