Power Gating Based Low Power 32 Bit BCD Adder Using DVT
-R.Santhiya ; T.ThamaraiManalan
Minimizing power dissipation during the VLSI design flow increases life time and reliability of the circuit. Numerous technologies for the design of low power VLSI circuits are reported where the dominant factor of power dissipation is caused by switching activity and large circuit area. The techniques used to reduce the power consumption and leakage power in a circuit is DVT and Power Gating. The GDI technique consumes low power which is used to design a full adder in a circuit. The simulation is done by using TANNER (EDA) tool and the result is compared with other BCD adder circuits. The average power consumed by the BCD adder is 1.384 μw and the frequency is 200 MHZ with 1v supply voltage. Read More...

Worm Gear Jack for Scissor Lift
-Pranjal Santosh Vartak ; Amit Jaysing Tekawade; Jaydeep Anil Wagh; Harshal Nilkanth Nemade; Irshad Shaikh
Power screws are used to convert rotary motion into translatory motion. A screw jack is an example of a power screw in which a small force applied in a horizontal plane is used to raise or lower a large load. The principle on which it works is similar to that of an inclined plane. The mechanical advantage of a screw jack is the ratio of the load applied to the effort applied. The screw jack is operated by turning a lead screw. The height of the jack is adjusted by turning a lead screw and this adjustment can be done either manually or by integrating an electric motor. In this project, an electric motor will be integrated with the worm gear jack and the electricity needed for the operation will be taken from the battery of the vehicle or already charged battery and thereby the mechanical advantage will be increased, also Remote control device can also be used to upgrade the model. The worm gear screw jack has ability to be used individually or linked mechanically and driven by electric motors or even manually. It has the lifting capacity of few kilos to the tones of weights with the raising capacity about 3 feet. Read More...

-Kiran A. Rayate ; Abhijeet B. Karle; Pankaj G. Baviskar; Sumit S. Jethwa; Prof. A. D. Bugade
In this paper We have considered an economic machine for peeling garlic in large quantity. This technology gives a great value consideration for the food industries, which manufacture garlic based pickles and other food processing industries. The food industry in India is mainly dominated by small time manufacturers mostly in the unorganized sector. The food industry is also plagued with a big problem of inefficiency in its operations due to low degree of atomization for example cutting , peeling of garlic is done manually. The second big problem industry faces is short-supply of labour during peak seasons, which limits the capacity. In case of garlic peeling the garlic has to be filled in gunny bags and hit on the floor so that it separates into individual cloves and peels are loosened. This is a highly labour intensive process. More number of labours increases the cost of the peeling. Existing garlic peeling machines available in the today’s market are of high cost and also have complicated mechanism. So we have developed garlic peeling machine of low cost. Read More...

-Rana Giteshkumar Dineshbhai
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is one of most attractive technology in today’s wireless communication systems. But its practical implementation is mainly limited by its high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR). We are hereby proposing a combine nonlinear companding transform (NCT) technique and clipping technique for reduce PAPR. First, Nonlinear companding transform is performed, where statistics of OFDM signal is transformed into the desirable statistics by maintaining average power. After NCT, clipping is performed on an OFDM signal. At the receiver, original information is recovered by decompanding operation and demodulation. The proposed technique reduces PAPR compared to conventional techniques. Read More...

Design and Analysis of Leakage Power Reduction Circuits for various Power Gating Architectures
-S. Nandhini ; K. Vijaipriya; Silna George
The design of low power circuit has begun to be a prime concern in chip design, substantially for portable and high performance systems. Power reduction is one of the mandatory issues. Scaling the transistor size causes sub-threshold leakage currents to become a massive component of total power dissipation. Therefore, effective techniques are required to minimize leakage power. Here we are going to design the multi-mode power switches based on various modes in power gating architectures. Multi-Threshold CMOS (MTCMOS) has appeared as an effective power gating technique in which standby sub-threshold leakage is minimized by interrupting power of the idle blocks by placing of sleep transistors. We propose a dual stack and body-biasing techniques with power gated circuits. The implementation of reconfigurable architecture provides reduced power and delay. TANNER EDA tool is used to design and verify the architectures. Read More...

Today’s world there is a lot of increase in energy demand. Now it’s time for us to come up with innovative solutions. The utilization of solar energy is very less compared to other available resources at present. It is going to increase in future. We are going to describe a technique for extracting maximum power from a photovoltaic panel to charge the battery. The power from the solar panels is applied to charge controller which gives output to a battery where energy is stored. An inverter is present at the output of battery to access stored power. A DC-to-DC converter is present inside the charge controller to match the PV module voltage to battery voltage. Microcontroller is programmed to always output maximum power. It performs its operation by taking input & output voltage as well as current from solar panel and DC-to-DC converter, irradiance levels from light sensor and temperature from temperature sensor. An additional feature here is to transmit the data from the microcontroller to location via serial communication interface. Read More...

-N.D. Sisir Kumar ; E. Vijay Vignesh; S. Nirmal Prasanth; R. Ashok Kumar; R. Santhosh Kumar
In the field of competition, all companies should supply their goods and services with high quality, in shortest period with lower prices than its competitors in order to survive the competitive environment. A ball valve is a form of quarter-turn valve which uses a hollow, perforated and pivoting ball (called a "floating ball") to control flow through it. It is open when the ball's hole is in line with the flow and closed when it is pivoted 90-degrees by the valve handle. Reduced flow and excessive pressure drop are some of the common problems in ball valve. Angle backlash in the ball position is one of the causes for reduced flow and excessive pressure drop. This paper discusses on creating various alternatives for eliminating the angle backlash in the ball position, evaluating them and choosing the best alternative followed by CFD analysis of the ball valve before and after adjusting the backlash is made in ANSYS FLUENT and the results are compared. Energy Efficient and Secure Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Network
-V.VASANTHI ; V.VINU RAJA; CHRISTOPHER
Wireless Sensor networks (WSNs) are vastly scattered networks of tiny, trivial wireless nodes, deployed in large counts to scrutinize the milieu or system by the measurement of physical parameters such as temperature, pressure, or relative humidity. For these necessities of WSNs, high efficient routing protocols design ought to energy efficient as feasible to extend their lifetime, and secure data delivery. And designed protocol must be adaptable for sensor nodes mobility which may be static or dynamic. For these needs an energy-balanced routing method based on uniform distribution of energy is designed with change of cluster head for each round of data transmission. This energy efficient algorithm is proposed with verification algorithm which ensures that the secure data transmission is achieved without releasing private sensor readings and without introducing significant overhead on the battery-limited sensors. Cluster based wireless sensor networks maximize the node lifetime and these clusters are formed periodically and dynamically. We propose Short path Secure and Efficient data Transmission protocols for sensor networks where security relies on the hardness of the Diffie-Hellman problem in the pairing domain. SET-IBOOS further reduces the computational overhead for protocol security, which is essential for WSNs, while its security relies on the hardness of the discrete logarithm problem. The calculations and simulations are provided to exemplify the competence of the proposed protocols. The results show that, the anticipated protocols have better performance than the existing secure protocols for CWSNs, in terms of security overhead and energy consumption. Read More...

Real Time Video Surveillance and Obstacle Avoidance using Quadcopter
-Gopal Bhaire ; Jitendar Choudhary; Dhavalkumar Parmar; Samana Jafri
A Quadrotor, is a unique kind of UAV's that uses four-fixed rotors, with two rotors per axis (each axis is orthogonally aligned with the other) powered by four motors to lift and propel the aircraft. The scheme of controlling a Quadrotor is done by varying the speed of the motors relative to each other, also the dynamics of the Quadrotor demand constant adjustment of the motors simultaneously. To allow a balanced flight, an advanced control system must be integrated, and so an on-board controller (brain) is required to implement the control algorithm and to be able to receive (for example from the pilot) and send (for example command the motors) instructions. With use of on board camera and suitable modulation scheme, real time video surveillance is possible. An obstacle avoidance system is implemented for fully autonomous functioning. Read More...

Real Time E-Crashcorder for Automobiles Using Arm Processor
-E.Mythili ; K.Nirmala
Modern vehicles use onboard computers to control driving systems, including braking and airbag deployment. The computers are connected to sensors throughout the vehicle and send the sensor data to EDR (Event Data Recorder aka Vehicle Black Box). But these EDRs have limitation, such as this EDR itself went wrong during the crash event. As a result the data that was stored is not good enough to figure out whether the car or the driver is to blame. Some of the stand-alone Digital Video/Audio Recorders that are currently in the market are used primarily for security purpose and thus are not going to help to analyze a crash event. The aim of this project is to design a next generation Vehicle Black Box (EDR), named as E-Crashcorder (Enhanced Crash Data Recorder).E-crashcorder records the value of accelerator pedal position, brake pedal position, steering wheel angle, crash severity, vehicle direction, wheel speed, transmission gear position, airbag deployment data, audio and video snapshot, when there is a change in 3-Axis MEMS Accelerometer. This data is used to find the actual accelerator and brake level applied by the driver, angle of steering wheel, direction and speed of the vehicle, vehicle status and location of the vehicle during the crash. These values are used for crash investigation. Read More...

Reliable Handling of Road Rules in Vehicle Transportation Using VANET
-Dineshkumar. S ; Tamilselvan.S
This paper focuses on the development of a system for vehicle classification, Speed measuring and controlling, Weight measuring in bus and truck, Navigation routing, Signal notifications, and Height notation in the road side areas. In this the Mixed Signal Processor is used for the controlling of the whole system. This controller unit is placed in both the vehicle as well as road side. An algorithm based on this is Vehicular Ad-hoc Network, from this algorithm the vehicle and road side networks could communicate with each other wirelessly. The developed sensor system is compact, wireless, and inexpensive. Vehicle classification is useful in a number of applications, including road maintenance and management, roadway design, emissions evaluation, multimode traffic model development, traffic control, traffic signal design, and toll systems development. Inductive speed sensors give a voltage output when subjected to a changing magnetic field. The field is set up by a magnet inside the sensor body and changes when ferromagnetic teeth are passed beneath the sensor (no magnets are required in the target). The voltage increases with increasing speed and with a reduction of the gap between the sensor and the target. Speed control based on RTC and area using VANET with vehicle speed analysis using on board unit and vehicle classification and alerting system also we implement. In that field vehicle control the emission of vehicle depends upon traffic signal design and traffic analysis using traffic flow and shortest path preference. And also implement signal alert for vehicle turns in tunnels or some congested path roadways. Load sensor is using for load analysis for vehicle and mention the over ton warning system and vehicle scheduling system also implement by using Real Time Clock (RTC). Read More...

Simulation of Opinion Mining in Hindi Language
-Hridesh Gupta ; Pankaj Sharma
Textual information in the world can be broadly classified into two main categories, facts and opinions. Facts are objective statements about entities and events in the world. Opinions are subjective statements that reflect people’s sentiments or perceptions about the entities and events. Sentiment analysis (also known as opinion mining) refers to the use of NLP, text analysis and computational linguistics to identify and extract subjective information in source materials. This information is unstructured, however, and because it’s produced for human consumption, it’s not something that’s machine process able. The opinions of users are helpful for the public and for stakeholders when making certain decisions. Opinion mining is a way to retrieve information through search engines, Web blogs and social networks. Because of the huge number of reviews in the form of unstructured text, it is impossible to summarize the information manually. Although commonly used interchangeably to denote the same field of study, opinion mining and sentiment analysis actually focus on polarity detection and emotion recognition, respectively Research in opinion mining mostly carried out in English language but it is very important to perform the opinion mining in Hindi language also as large amount of information in Hindi is also available on the Web. Web testing is the name given to software testing that focuses on web applications. Complete testing of a web based system before going live can help address several issues. Manual testing is a time consuming practice and is difficult to repeat but can’t be overlooked. Each time a software does not perform according to specifications; the program will record and report the exact command that is the root cause of problem. Once the problem is identified and the bug is fixed, one can execute the very same set of commands to verify the success. There are a number of commercial and open source tools available for assisting with the development of test automation. In this paper, automated test tools named SAHI and SELINUM are proposed to support the automated test scenario for web based applications. Read More...

Video Magnification and Photoplethysmography Based Heart Rate Measurement System
-Mayur Khante
Magnification of subtle temporal changes like motion or color is known as video magnification. This paper explores Eulerian method for video magnification. It involves Gaussian and Box filters magnifying motion and color variations in video respectively. This algorithm has been applied to detect human heart rate by obtaining Blood Volume Pulse (BVP) signal from magnified video of finger. The finger video is obtained using low-cost mobile camera. The heart rate obtained by our method is very close to clinical heart rate obtained using Phillips multipara monitor. Preprocessing involves the converting the video into frames array. After this conversion of the video into frames, an individual frame goes through the noise removal process. Video-frames may contain many types of noise that directly affect the result of the video magnification. Motion denoising is one of the techniques that deal with motion noise in the video frames. Further processing continues with the motion and color magnification which is a main part of a video magnification algorithm. In this work, Eulerian and Lagrangian motion magnification methods are implemented. This helps in ameliorating the final results of the video magnification process. Algorithm revel subtle changes in the video which are visible to the necked eye and is useful in analyzing vital signs of person, like observing the facial blood circulation. It is also useful in monitoring object subtle movement under various constraints. Read More...

-Mohammad Azmat Javed ; Siddhant Jaiswal
This paper presents the methods of document clustering for forensic investigation purpose. Lots of the data present in those files consists of irregular text and there is a necessity to make those texts structured. The analysis of irregular texts is difficult to be performed by computer examiners. For that there is a need of automated methods of analysis. Document clustering can be used for forensic analysis of digital devices in police investigations. Document clustering is very useful in digital investigation. The clusters of either relevant or irrelevant documents can facilitate computer examiners to efficiently focus on the most relevant documents instead of inspecting all of them. Adaptive bisecting k-means algorithm is proposed to cluster the document. Read More...

Wireless Industrial Power Management
-Vishakha W.Page ; Prof.V.A.Pawar; Anisa S. Mukadam ; Namrata R.Shid
The world passing the biggest problem of power. Because the production of power is less than the demand power of consumer side. In many countries the increase in demand is growing at a faster rate than transmission capacity and also the cost of providing power is also increasing due to the higher coal prices and deficiency of fuel. Also the reason of not getting the full power to consumers side is that the growing population of countries. To overcome the problem of power distribution this paper provides an overview of wireless sensor network by managing the equal power distribution by using zigbee network sensor. The abnormal deviation in the values of any of these parameters from their set point values will be immediately sensed and further controlling action of devices will be carried out. It is a bi directional communication system in which, at any time we can know the present parameter status. We are using wireless telemetry systems for electrical applications. The researchers have suggested the use of this ZIGBEE technology for monitoring the electrical parameters of devices from remote terminal. The aim of the proposed work is to sense the temperature and light intensity values and send it to PC using Zigbee for controlling devices. The design of hardware and software for a compact, good and low cost system to achieve remote monitoring is studied [1] Read More...

Risk Assessment and Consequences Analysis in Major Accidental Hazard Industries Waste Companies
-Aniket Sonavane ; Rajiv Premi
The pace of urbanization and industrialization in developing countries is rapidly increasing. Unfortunately, regulatory and private-sector control of hazards has not always kept pace. This work identifies the level of emergency preparedness in chemical industries and evaluates the spatial distribution of hazards using a worst-case release scenario. Consequently, we identified potentially exposed urban communities and evaluated the social perception of a hazard. Process industries involve handling of hazardous substances which on release may potentially cause catastrophic consequences in terms of assets lost, human fatalities or injuries and loss of public confidence of the company. To develop a predictive model one has to rely on past occurrence data, as such events are rare, enough data are usually not available to better understand and model such behavior. In such situations, it is advisable to use near misses and incident data to predict system performance and estimate accident likelihood. Read More...

-Shrikanth Balsubramaniyan ; Mr. Vaibhav. H. Bankar
It has been observed that the two wheelers get easily punctured on and off when it is being used and it causes high inconvenience to the rider if it gets punctured in remote areas where sudden repairing of puncture is not possible and the only possible solution, mainly in (motorcycle) is to drag the vehicle to a repairing shop and get it repaired. In order to avoid such possible breakdowns a possible solution is that we can provide a twin rear wheel system in the (motorcycle). For this a complete re-modification of the rear wheel system of two wheeler is to be done to accommodate the vehicle with co-joined rim, adjustment in the power transmission, wheel rim, rim width modification axle shaft and hub re-modification, brake drum modification is to be done, so that the new re-modified co-joined rim two wheeler can be used for the existing two wheeler for tackling such hard situations and hence this idea has been put forth in this project which is to re-modify the complete rear wheel system of two wheeler.
