Experimental Investigation Effect on Saw using Response Surface Methodology (RSM)
-Hinal B. Thakker ; Prof. A. J. Patel
Submerged arc welding is preferable more its inherent qualities like easy control of variables, high quality, deep penetration, smooth finish. The quality of weld depends on the bead geometry of the weld which in turn depends on the process parameters. To automate a welding process, which is the present trend in fabrication industry, it is essential that mathematical models have to be developed to relate the process variables to the weld bead parameters. Selection of process parameters has great influence on the quality of a welded connection. Welding input parameters play a very significant role in determining the quality of a weld joint. In this present work, the effect of Response Surface Methodology approach for experimental investigation of submerged arc welding parameters Viz. Current, Voltage, Travel speed and Electrode diameter on weld bead geometry has been studied. Response surface methodology (RSM) technique is applied to determine and characterize the cause and effect relationship between true mean responses and input control variables influencing the responses. A Wireless Application of Drip Irrigation Supported by Soil Moisture Sensors
-Kshatriya Harshal Sunil ; Dr. Wankhede V. A
In the past couple of decades, there is rapid growth in terms of technology in the field of agriculture. Traditional instrumentation based on discrete and wired solutions, presents many difficulties on measuring and control systems especially over the large geographical areas. An intention of this topic is to describe the design and implementation of a low-cost multi-mode control for an irrigation system. The system uses soil water potential measurements, the weather condition parameters and the set points data provided by the user to decide when and how much water to apply to the irrigated field. The designed system has 3 units namely: Base Station Unit (BSU), Valve Unit (VU) and Sensor Unit (SU), mainly focuses on predicting the start of germination of the disease. Sensor Unit is used to detect different environmental condition across the farm and the sensed data is displayed on LCD using ARM. ARM processor wirelessly transmits different environmental conditions across the farm to Base Station Unit where data is stored, and analyzed. Base Station Unit checks the present data with stored condition and if matches then it commands ARM to operate relay in the Valve Unit. Full circuit and program codes were implemented to verify system operation. This describes an application of a wireless sensor network using XBEE for low-cost wireless controlled irrigation solution and real time monitoring of water content of soil. In addition, the developed irrigation method removes the need for workmanship for flooding irrigation. Read More...

Experimental Investigation on Efficiency of Flat Plate Solar Collector with BN/H2O Nanofluid
-Madhuri G. Chatur ; Prof.P.T.Nitnaware
Solar Water Heating is an effective method of utilizing solar heat to perform many useful tasks. The energy from the sun can provide hot water for many applications, displacing the ssneed to burn fossil fuels. A solar collector is the main component for absorbing heat from solar beam and utilizing it for heating purposes. One way to absorb more heat from the solar beam is to modify heat characteristics of the working fluid. With the development of nanotechnology, an innovative heat transfer fluid arises. Nanofluids, a relatively new class of fluids which consist of a base fluid with nano-sized particles (1-100 nm) suspended within them. These particles are generally metals or metal oxides. Nanofluids have been considered as a new-type heat transfer fluid because of their substantial increase in liquid thermal conductivity, liquid viscosity, and heat transfer coefficient. Solar water heating is an effective method for heat demands in domestic applications. Solar collector is a main component of any solar water heating system. In this proposed work, the effect of BN–water nanofluid, as the working fluid (absorbing medium), on the performance and the efficiency of a flat-plate solar collector is to be investigated experimentally. Migration Project for Oracle 11G to MYSQL Server
-Aruna.M.S ; Saritha
Database migration is a process of moving the data from one platform to other platform based on its features for a better utilization of the data in an easier way. Migration project is basically moving the data and the structure from Oracle 11G to MSSQL Server 2014 by using Informatica mappings/workflows that apply changes to which are going to effect because of the above migration. The new mappings should point to the new SQL Server. The existing Oracle 11G database will be replaced by MSSQL Server 2014 database.
The work involved is:
ï€ Understanding the existing database objects like tables, functions, procedures, packages etc. and also create the same in the MSSQL Server 2014 database.
ï€ Move the existing data from Oracle database to the MSSQL Server 2014 database.
ï€ Test the data which is migrated successfully, if not make the necessary corrections to bring all the data in the required format.
ï€ Migrate the existing mappings to point to the MSSQL Server 2014 database which are currently pointing to Oracle Database.
ï€ Test all the mappings that are valid and working fine in the new environment, if not make the necessary corrections.
ï€ Comparing the migrated records from the records that are generated by the final destination system and that the transferred or moved records are complete and are appropriate to the point.
ï€ Summary Verification is a technique, but there are various other techniques that provide a complete summary about record count and checksums, the number of records that are migrated is compiled from the destination and then compared to the records that are migrated.
ï€ Compare migrated records to the Sources (Sampling) where the tests should verify that fields and the values which are migrated as per the specification. In short, the values and the field level mappings all are used to calculate the required results at the final destination point.
ï€ Table structure and Columns are matched between Oracle and SQL Server.
ï€ Data Count Validation is done between Oracle and SQL Server.
ï€ Data Comparison between Oracle and SQL Server is performed once the Data migration is finished.
ï€ Functional Testing on migrated data is performed, once the comparison done.

Optimization of Foundry Parameters for Reducing Casting Defects
-Sandhya.M.S ; Dr.H.Ramakrishna; Y. Sundara Rajalu
Production of casting involves various processes like pattern making, moulding and assembly, core making and melting etc. A casting defect may be result of a single cause or a combination of causes. The single castings have one or more defects. These can be minimized by taking corrective actions in the tools like pattern, mould making, core making and melting process. This paper presents a systematic procedure to identify as well as to analyze major casting defects carried out at Bharat Fritz Werner, Bangalore, India. High casting reject levels, both internal and customer returns have a considerable adverse effect on productivity, delivery performance, customer satisfaction and employee moral. Diagnostic study carried out on Castings revealed that the contribution of the four prominent defects in casting rejections are blow hole, shrinkage, mismatch, and oversize. It was noticed that these defects are frequently occurring at particular locations. So it preferably necessary to reduce it as much as possible by appropriate analysis of the defects which includes the root cause analysis so that actual reasons behind occurring the defects can be find out to make the corrective action. Outcome of the validation trials showed substantial reduction in rejection of castings. This study aims to implement a novel approach to improve the quality (reducing the defects) of a foundry by Lean Six Sigma methodology. Read More...

-Sejal D Patel ; Prof. Sumit K Rathor
All renewable sources use power electronic devices specially multilevel inverters to convert DC source obtained from renewable sources into AC. These inverters can give their best results when the proper scheme is applied for obtaining desired output. There are many PWM schemes available for inverter operation to obtain variable voltage and frequency supply for inverter. The carrier based sinusoidal and space vector PWM(SVPWM) is the most widely used scheme for the voltage source inverters due to their easier digital realization and better DC link utilization. A simplified algorithm for the three-level SVPWM is proposed. Due to the geometrical symmetry of six sectors, there exist the close relationships in on time calculations and on time arrangement for switches between them. So it can complete the computation of the three-level SVPWM in one sector. Read More...

Identifying Unknown Locations and Demography based Sentiment Analysis
-S.Divya ; Dr. Prakash
Big Data Analytics in Geo-Spatial metadata is geographically annotated social media is extremely valuable for modern information retrieval. However, when researchers can only access publicly-visible data, one quickly finds that social media users rarely publish location information. In this work, we provide a method which can geo-locate the over whelming majority of active Social media users, independent of their location sharing preferences, using only publicly-visible user data. My method infers an unknown user's location by examining their friend's locations. We frame the problem of identifying the location and optimization over a social network with a total variation based objective and provide a scalable and distributed algorithm for its solution. Furthermore, we show how a robust estimate of the geographic dispersion of each user's ego network can be used as a per-user accuracy measure, allowing us to discard poor location inferences and control the overall error of our approach and finally the sentimental analysis of the obtained user’s data over social media with user history statistics. To provide network security, various encryption algorithms can be used. These algorithms can work along with key provided for the purpose of encryption and decryption. Longer the key size, better the security. But to encrypt and decrypt data with longer keys, more time is required for computation. The block ciphers, when subjected to parallelism offered by CUDA, shows high speedups compared to CPUs because of the absence of data dependency in the following data blocks. For optimizing block cipher the advantage of threaded execution of parallelizable code is taken. This method has advantage in the upgradation on CUDA, because a GPU has relatively large amount of memories for storing data. Read More...

-Sahana Gurumurthy ; Santhosh S; Shahbaaz Ahmed; Suchithra R; Archana R
Time study is a work measurement technique for recording the times and rates of working for the elements of a specified job, for analyzing the data so as to obtain the necessary time for carrying out the job at a defined level of performance. The aim of the project is to develop and apply time study model for an automobile manufacturing firm which is engaged in production of commercial vehicles, engines, trucks and buses. The production of parts of truck involves several major activities such as cutting, trimming and flange making. Each activity requires different tools and each part requires different set of tools for operation and hence needs immense amount of time in setting up the tools. Number of problems arises due to the glitches in time management and hence time study methods are used to overcome them. The motivation of this project was the need to reduce the time taken for the offline tool setting in sheet metal department (CPPS- cap panel press shop) of the firm. Hence the processes were broken down into jobs and tasks, and MOST (Maynard Operation Sequencing Technique) is used to calculate the time taken for the tasks and jobs. Therefore, there is a need to reduce the time taken for setting up of the tools to speed up the processes and in turn increase productivity. Also the calculated time can be used to make efficient production plans. Read More...

Optimal Design of PSS for the Mitigation of Electro-Mechanical Mode Oscillations using Eva Approach with the Impact of Wind Energy System
-Subha .D ; Jerril Gilda .S
Small-signal stability analysis mainly deals with a study of electromechanical oscillations-related performance of the system about an operating point when the system is subjected to sufficiently small magnitude of disturbance that will lead to non-linear behavior of the system. Thus, this study is mainly concerned with the ability of the power system to maintain synchronism under small disturbances and transient disturbances. The disturbances are considered to be sufficiently small that linearization of system equations is possible for analysis purposes . This permits linear system theory to be applied for system analysis even though the system is inherently non-linear.This paper proposes a method of case study analysis to investigate the impact of Doubly fed Induction generator in 5 machine 14 bus system with automatic voltage regulator and power system stabilizer using Power system analysis toolbox. It can directly calculate the Eigen values associated with the large-scale power system for small-signal stability analysis. Also, using Time domain simulation ,transient stability analysis is done and the graph of speed deviation versus time is plotted. Read More...

Low Power Conditional Pulse Control Flip Flop using Signal Feed Through Scheme
-Resham Singh ; Bal Krishan; Naveen Kumar Sigroha
In the present work, Low Power Conditional Pulse Control Flip-Flop using Signal Feed through scheme is proposed. The proposed design removes the long discharging path problem with intermediate nodes using the pulse generation control (which facilitates a faster discharge operation). Transmission gate and three inverters are used to control the clock circuit to reduce the power dissipation along the critical path. As a result, very low power dissipation occurs when there is no switching. Tanner EDA tool 14.1 is used for the simulation purposes. All simulation results are based on using CMOS 90-nm technology at 500MHz clock frequency. High Performance Low Power 10T Full Adder
-Naveen Kumar Sigroha ; Bal Krishan; Resham Singh
High Performance Low Power 10T Full Adder (FA) is presented in this paper. FA is an essential component for the design of all types of processors viz. microprocessors anddigital signal processors (DSP) etc. Adders are the core element of complex arithmetic operations like addition, multiplication, division, exponentiation etc. In most of these systems adder lies in the critical path that affects the overall speed of the system. So improving the performance of the 1-bit FA circuit is a significant goal. The present work proposes an energy efficient FA circuit with faster switching of output that reduces the serious problem of carry propagation from one adder to another adder. Result shows 10.56% improvement in Sum delay, 91.46% improvement in Carry delay over the other types of adders with comparable performance of 8T and 9T FAs. The simulation has been carried out on Tanner EDA tool 14.1 at 45nm technologies. Read More...

A Review Paper on Helical Heat Exchanger Design for Cooling of Super Critical Helium
-Hardik K Vaghasia ; A. K.Sahu; Dr. J.M.Patel
The Proposed indigenous helium plant will have mixed mode operation (simultaneous operation as liquefier and as refrigerator) provision having equivalent 2 KW refrigeration at 4.5 K at IPR. there will be a liquid helium chamber will contain a heat exchanger to cool the supercritical helium from about 6 K to 4.8 K. this project will involve the design and optimization of this LHE chamber and internal component of it.this vacuum chamber of cold box will be a horizontal cylinder with tentative diameter of 2.5 m and length 7 m. This vacuum chamber will contain many cold component to produce liquid helium. A part of the flow will be taken to the LHe chamber though J-T valve to produce liquid helium and cool the supercritical helium coming out of the cold circulator using heat exchanger. This cold circulator (CC) will circulate helium in closed loop within the cold box. This CC will provide 300 g/s supercritical helium flow at 4 bar pressure and 6 K temperature. The heat energy going to the supercritical helium due to pumping work and external heat load of the CC need to be removed by heat exchanger contained in liquid helium chamber. The vapour from the chamber will return to the low pressure cold return line passing though the heat exchanger of the main cycle of the helium plant. As this chamber will be within the vacuum vessel, its size has to be minimized considering the size of the heat requirement of operation of helium plant when external helium Dewar is not available, in which this internal LHe chamber will be used to produce liquid helium for performance test of helium plant. This project will involve design and analysis taking into account of manufacturing assembly and maintained aspect and different off-normal condition. Read More...

Enhanced QOD Routing Protocol with Probabilistic Misbehavior Node Detection Scheme
-Shilpa D.S ; Prof. Suresh.K
QoS oriented distributed routing protocol (QOD) for hybrid networks to provide QoS services in a highly dynamic scenario. In the highly dynamic environment, the link between the nodes changes frequently. So, the route failure will occur in the network which leads to packet loss during transmission. To avoid this, we can propose link aware opportunistic relay node selection algorithm. In this algorithm, all the nodes not going to maintain the routing table. At the time of transmission, the source node builds the route to reach the destination by using the parameter link residual life time. The Link residual life is defined as “How long the link between the wireless nodes exists and capability of that link to provide efficient communication without fails. The link residual life is used to avoid poor link connectivity and reduce the possibility of retransmissions. Major issue in MANET is identifying the node behavior even QOD protocol provides service in quality where it come to efficiency we can’t expect good result. In this paper, we propose Node-Trust, a probabilistic misbehavior detection scheme, for secure QOS routing toward efficient trust establishment. The basic idea of Node-Trust is introducing a periodically available Trusted Authority (TA) to judge the node’s behavior based on the collected routing evidences and probabilistically checking. We model Node-Trust as the inspection game and use game theoretical analysis to demonstrate that, by setting an appropriate investigation probability, TA could ensure the security of QOS routing at a reduced cost. A New Biphase Pulse Compression Code for Radar
-Satyendra Raghuvanshi ; Vandana Vikas Thakare
In proposed method a new binary phase coded pulse compression code is introduces. The binary sequence in introduced method is generated by using Chebyshev polynomial. Peak side lobe level (PSL) and Merit Factor (MF) are the two main measures to decide performance of pulse compression code. Chebyshev polynomial generate a real valued sequence with better autocorrelation and cross correlation properties hence these codes produces suppressed side lobe at the autocorrelation function (ACF) of matched filter due to received signal. Reduction in side lobe level signify the optimum value of PSL and MF hence these code produces optimum result for radar pulse compression. Read More...

A Review and Analysis of Steganography and Visual Cryptography for Secure Data Hiding
-Roshni Rathour ; Preeti Tuli
Security of the secret information has been a challenge when the huge volume of data is exchanged on the internet. Steganography is one of the technique used for concealing information inside an image. Cryptography is a technique which converts the data or plain text into an unreadable form. Visual secret sharing is the technique that divide the secret image into n several shares. Each share holds some information and when the shares are superimposed, a hidden secret image is revealed. It is totally different from the traditional cryptography, because for decrypting the secret image, it does not require any complex computation. The advantage of visual cryptography is that if any one captures a share then single share would not disclose anything about the data. This paper presents a review on various Steganography and visual cryptography techniques that is employed for information concealing. The main objective is to find out a method, which can conceal a large quantity of data in image. Read More...

Analysis of High Rise Building for Lateral Loads and Its Comparison
-Amol D. Pund ; Prof. U. R. Kawade
In recent era India is fastest growing country across the globe and need of shelter with higher land cost in major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmadabad, Vadodara, Pune, etc. Where further horizontal expansion is not must possible due to land saturation. Recently there has been a considerable increase in the number of high rise building and the modern trend is towards more taller & more slender structures. It is very essential to consider the effects of lateral loads induced from wind and earthquakes in the design of reinforced concrete structures, especially for high-rise buildings. Thus the effect of lateral loads like Earthquake forces & Wind load are getting more importance and almost every designer is faced with the problem of providing adequate strength and stability against above lateral loads. Due to this in recent years wind & earthquake loads have become determining factor in high rise building design. Application example for buildings with different heights, floor weights and boundary conditions for both winds & Earthquakes such as intensity of wind pressure, gust factor (G), seismic zone coefficient (Z), the importance factor (I), Response reduction factor(R) and Average response acceleration coefficient (Sa/g) are analyzed and discussed for the purpose of comparison by using IS 456:2000, IS 1893:2002 & IS 875:1987 (part3). Study of Ensemble Learning Algorithm with Stacking Framework
-Trushika Patel ; Nikita Patel
Nowadays the most active research in supervised learning includes an integration of several base classifiers into the combined classification system. Such systems are known under the names multiple classifiers, ensembles methods. An ensemble of classifiers is a set of classifiers whose decisions are to classify new examples. Slacked generalization or stacking is a ensemble learning method for constructing classifier ensembles. Stacking is an ensemble that uses different “type†of base classifiers. An ensemble of classifiers is first created, whose outputs are used as inputs to a second level meta-classifier. In the area of bioinformatics, classification is widely used. The datasets of bioinformatics are very too much large and complex. So F-score and entropy based technique is used for reducing dataset. The proposed system will achieve reliable accuracies when has been tested on bioinformatics dataset. Read More...

Comparative Study of the Effects of Earthquake and Wind Loads on High-Rise Buildings
-Ankush Jagannath Tidke ; Prof. Gururaj B.Katti
The importance of earthquake engineering and wind engineering is emerging in India ever since the need for more taller buildings. Considering the ever increasing population as well as limited space, horizontal expansion is no more a feasible solution especially in metro cities. There is number of technology to build super-tall and super slender buildings today, but in India we are yet to come up with the technology which is already established in other parts of the world. Analysis of high rise building structures subjected to earthquake acceleration is often a complex task. This study addresses the performance of high rise reinforced concrete building with the Comparison on the effect of earthquake and wind loads. A computer program E-TAB is used to analyze the structural buildings behaviour under wind pressure defined as well as equivalent static loads for earthquakes considering all factors in the IS 456:2000, IS 1893:2002 & IS 875:1987 (part3). Estimation of Wind load will be studied with the gust factor method, as it is more precise. This paper describes mathematical study and relation between wind and earthquake and its effects on building as a whole with respect of moment and shear force. Read More...
