An Overview of the Installation Project of a SPECT/CT (Brightview XCT) and PET/CT (Tru Flight) In Faridkot
-Amandeep Kaur ; Komalpreet Kaur
SPECT/CT and PET/CT has revolutionized medical diagnosis by depicting the spatial distribution of metabolic or biochemical activity in the body which can be more precisely localized with anatomical structure obtained by CT scanning. Many diagnostic imaging procedures in oncology, surgical planning, radiation therapy and cancer staging have been changing rapidly under the influence of PET/CT availability, and centers have been gradually abandoning conventional PET devices and substituting them by PET/CTs. Although the combined/hybrid device is considerably more expensive, it has the advantage of providing both functions as stand-alone examinations, being, in fact, two devices in one. SPECT/CT or PET/CT installation and implementation are unique to each institution, and each practice will need to examine its facility, work flow, and processes to best adapt them for the new technology. Intelligent Vehicle Monitoring System and Fuel Maintenance using Wireless Communication
-Navyashree S ; Dr. A Shobha Rani
As all are recognizable from the expressions of engine vehicle producers foreseeing the mileage of their items pretty nearly, that are working on Spark Ignition, Compressed Ignition motors under obliged circumstances mileage on interstate and so forth., the engine vehicles shows the measure of fuel in the fuel tank by method for some sign like bars going through the E (void) and F (full) pointers. The producer gives the detail that every bar maps to the relating liters of fuel give or take. In actuality each one of us may have encountered the issue with dishonorable estimations of the present fuel level in the tank with the current bars representation framework. Maybe it would not be testing push to demonstrate the data with respect to mileage numerically on computerized presentation. This work goes for defeating the disadvantages of this current framework by giving clear data to the client about the precise evidence of fuel level digitally in liters and further separation to go with the accessible fuel. Since the fuel tank blasts have been seen over the world, the consideration ought to be taken from the assembling organizations for security of travelers. To attain the prerequisite the fuel tank configuration is changed such that the part is made for the fuel tank. Thus the development of high pressure because of expanding temperature is avoided to the greatest extent. As and when the fuel level tumbles down to certain limit, the caution will be created to the proprietor. At certain time if there happens sudden fall of fuel level, the alarm is created to indicate fuel robbery. Read More...

Performance Evalution of Indirect Control Technique for STATCOM
-Ravinder Kumar ; Dr. Rintu Khanna; Dr. Jagdish Kumar
Modern electric power system is very complex network of synchronous generators, transmission lines and loads mainly inductive type loads. The characteristics of the system vary with changes in load and generation schedules. Electric utilities first grew as isolated systems, and then gradually neighboring utilities began to join forming highly interconnected systems. This enabled the utilities to draw on each other‟s generation reserves during the time of need. The overall reliability has improved through interconnection but disturbances in such systems propagate through, leading to system instability and possible black-outs.A good power system should possess the ability to regain its normal operating condition after a disturbance. Since ability to supply uninterrupted electricity determines the quality of electric power supplied to the load, stability is regarded as one of the important topics of power system research. Power system stability can be improved using FACTS controllers by enhancing its steady-state and transient stability or by damping the sub-synchronous resonance oscillations.in this paper an important FACTS devics STATCOM is proposed. For proper controlling of reactive power compensation indirect controlling is proposed. Read More...

Object Detection in Videos using Shot Clustering
-Gunjan Gujarathi ; Mrs. S. M. Patil
This is a new approach to object detection and tracking are the challenging task in many computer vision applications. The clustering is a natural solution to abbreviate and organize the content of video. Research on object detection suggests that momententous objects can be well represented as more feature extraction from appropriately chosen video. Tracking is usually performed in the context of higher-level applications that require the location and/or shape of the object in every frame. In proposed system use shot clustering which is based on feature extraction. Object detection and tracking in motion based videos by using the joint color and texture histogram to represent a target. Apart from conventional color histogram feature of the object are also extracted by using LBP technique to represent the object. All frames are sequentially aligned for displaying tracking result compared with traditional color histogram method. Implemented algorithm extracts effectively features in the target region which represents more robustly than tracking produced in other similar method. For future investigation is to multitracking of detected object in videos and more number of feature extractions. Read More...

Comparative Study of Slab Culvert Design using Irc-112:2011 and Irc-21:2000
-Shivanand Tenagi ; R.Shreedhar
Reinforced concrete slab type decks are often referred to as culverts and are commonly used for small spans. Slab culverts are important hydraulic structures used in the construction of highway roads. In India, till now culverts are designed and constructed according to Indian road congress guidelines as per IRC: 21-2000 code in which working stress method is used. Recently Indian road congress has introduced another code IRC: 112-2011 for design of prestress and RCC bridges using limit state method. In regards to this, present study has been performed to know how design of IRC-112 differs from IRC-21 and an attempt is made to study undefined parameters of IRC: 112-2011 such as span to depth (L/d) ratio. Present study is performed on design of RC slab culvert using “working stress method†using “IRC: 21-2000 and limit state method using IRC: 112-2011†code specifications. It is observed that in working stress method, the allowable L/d ratio is 13 and in limit state method, the L/d ratio of 20 is most preferable. Quantity of materials required in limit state method is compared with quantity of material required in working stress method and it is found that concrete can be saved up to 30 to 35% using limit state method. Survey Paper on Progressive Collapse of Multistory Steel Building
-Bhushan Deore ; Prof. Dr. Rajashekhar S. Talikoti
The term Progressive collapse is defined as a situation where local failure of a primary structural component leads to the collapse of adjoining members, which in turn leads to additional collapse. Hence, the extent of total damage is disproportionate to the original cause. Progressive collapse can be triggered by manmade, natural, intentional or unintentional causes. Furthermore Prevention to the progressive collapse is carried out by Alternate load path, Tie forces, integrity provisions, and finite element model. They provide redundancy to the structure to mitigate collapse. The study of analytical approaches for evaluating progressive collapse is carried out by linear static analysis using Alternate Path Method recommended in the General Service Administration (GSA) guidelines is presented in the work. For this work we have considered multistory steel building (G+10) located in seismic zone III. The objective of this work is to study the vulnerability of Steel frame towards progressive collapse and also prevention of progressive collapse of Steel frame by using linear static analysis. This analysis is carried out by columns removed condition. Read More...

Design of 64 Bit MAC Unit for Efficiency Improvement using Vedic Multiplier
-Sumit C. Katkar ; Pragati Kene; Shubhangini Ugale
Multiplier Accumulator Unit (MAC) is a part of Digital Signal Processors. The MAC unit speed depends on the speed of multiplier. The proposed MAC unit reduces the area by reducing the number of multiplication and addition in the multiplier unit. Increase in the speed of operation is achieved by the nature of the Vedic multiplier unit. So by using an efficient Vedic multiplier in terms of speed, power and area, the performance of MAC can be increased. For this fast method of multiplication based on ancient Indian Vedic mathematics is used. Among various method of multiplication in Vedic mathematics, Urdhva Tiryagbhyam is used and the multiplication is for 64 X 64 bits. Urdhva Tiryagbhyam is a general multiplication formula applicable to all cases of multiplication. It enables parallel generation of intermediate products, eliminates unwanted multiplication steps with zeros. Read More...

-Piyush S.Varadpande ; Madan B. Mali
Convolutional codes are mainly used in channel coding techniques, and because of high performance, Viterbi decoder is widely used in decoders. Also fast developments in communication field have created rising demand for low power, high speed and low weight Viterbi decoders. Though there is significant growth in past few years but still problem of power dissipation in Viterbi decoders remained challenge and requires further technical solution. The aim of this project is to reduce the dynamic power consumption bellow 10 mW Asynchronous Technique is a technique where handshaking signal are used to communicate between blocks. The asynchronous design is inherently data driven and active while doing useful work where power saving with acceptable speed penalty is obtained. Xpower analyzer tool is used to measure power consumption. Therefore, the designed method is of low power consumption of Viterbi decoder for the rate of r=1/2, with a constraint length K = 3 using asynchronous technique. Read More...

-Mr.Bharat Jadhav ; Mr.Sandip Kahate
Both cost-sensitive classification and online learning have been broadly researched in data mining and machine learning communities, respectively. However, very restricted study addresses an essential intersecting issue, that is, “Cost-Sensitive Online Classification". In this paper we proposed, formally study this issue, and propose a new framework for Cost-Sensitive Online Classification by directly surging cost-sensitive symptoms implementing online gradient descent methods. Particularly, we present two novel cost-sensitive online classification algorithms, which are structured to directly amend two well-known cost-sensitive measures: (i) maximization of weighted sum of sensitivity and specificity, and (ii) minimization of weighted misclassification cost. We study the theoretical leap of the cost-sensitive measures made by the presented algorithms, and broadly observed their factual operation on a variety of cost-sensitive online classification works. Finally, we represent the application of the presented method for solving several online problem detection works, showing that the presented method could be a highly effective and efficient tool to tackle cost-sensitive online classification works in several application domains. malicious Uniform Resource Locator (URL) detection is an essential issue in web search and mining, which plays a complex role in internet protection. Detection and Classification of Age Related Macular Degeneration in Retinal Images using Support Vector Machine Classifier
-Rachana SN ; Sheela N Rao
Nowadays retinal diseases are quite common in elderly people. In some cases retinal diseases can even leads to permanent blindness, one such retinal disease is Macular degeneration. Macula, it is central part of retina responsible for the sharp central vision needed for detailed activities that requires central vision such as reading, writing, driving. But progressive destruction of delicate cells of macula leads to a condition called Age related macular degeneration (ARMD or AMD). Fatty deposits called as drusen will accumulate in macula region which progressively destructs the macula and in the worst case it even leads to permanent blindness. In this paper an algorithm for semi-automated detection of AMD using image processing techniques using fundus images have been proposed. The proposed method includes pre-processing, segmentation and feature extraction techniques. Feature extraction includes Gray Level Co-occurrence matrix (GLCM), which is used to extract the features which are required for the classification process. The classification results are evaluated with the use of accuracy, sensitivity and specificity with the help of Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier. Proposed method obtains accuracy 94.12%, sensitivity 91.66% and specificity 100%. Read More...

Seismic Analysis of Lateral systems In Tall Buildings for Different Soil Type and Seismic Zones
-Thambisetty. Jaya Krishna ; Mrs. B.Ajitha
Buildings are subjected to different earthquake loading and behaves differently with diversification in the types of soil condition, such as dense soil, medium and soft soil. Different soil properties can affect seismic waves as they pass through a soil layer. When a structure is subjected to an earthquake excitation, it interacts with the foundation and soil, and thus changes the motion of the ground. It means that the movement of the whole ground structure system is influenced by type of soil as well as zone by the type of structure. As the seismic waves transfer from the ground which consist of alteration in soil properties and performs differently according to soil’s respective properties. Efficient lateral systems, decreases the lateral deformations caused by the seismic forces in the buildings. In this work, it is proposed to carry out an analytical study, on multistory buildings of 15 stories, was carried out accounting for different seismic zones and soil types. The suitability and efficiency of different lateral bracing systems that are commonly used and also that of concrete in fills are investigated. The different bracing systems viz., X-brace, V-brace, inverted V or Chevron brace, Outriggers and in fills, are introduced in the buildings through analytical models. These were analyzed in 45m height, using ETABS software, for the action of lateral forces employing linear static and linear dynamic methods as per IS 1893 (Part I): 2002. The results of the analyses, in terms of lateral deformations and Base shears, Displacement, Drift, storey shear were obtained for all the different conditions discussed above The suitability of the types of lateral system for the buildings is suggested based on the soil type in particular zone. -Alpesh K Chauhan ; Prof. Vishal L. Bhimani; Ramdevsinh R Rathod; Prof. V M Makwana
In manufacturing industries right selection of manufacturing condition is one of the most important aspects taken into consideration in the majority of processes and particularly in processes related to Electric Discharge Machining (EDM).The EDM is a non-traditional machining processes that involved a transient spark discharges through the fluid due to the difference between the electrode and the work piece. EN 21 materials has 3% nickel steel capable of being heat treated to produce an excellent resistance to shock combined with a tensile strength. It is obtained by water hardening and tempering for best combination of mechanical properties. The EDM process is finding out the effect of machining parameter such as discharge current, pulse on time and pulse off time of EN21 material. In this project we have determination surface roughness of EN21 material by changing machine process parameters of an EDM. We have used to Taguchi method and L27 orthogonal array are to reduce the number of experiment. We have got the 5.826 μm surface roughness value at current 14A, pulse on time 20μs and pulse off time 200μs. The ANOVA technique was used for identifying the most significant factor and interaction plot of process parameters on surface roughness. From ANOVA, it is observed that for Ra the discharge current and pulse on time was most significant factor. Read More...

Performance Analysis of SVC for Damping Oscillations in Two Area System
-Shivam ; Puneet Chawla
Development of electric power transmission facilities is constrained despite the fact that bulk power transfers and use of transmission systems by consumers are increasing rapidly. Due to this fact power system stability is becoming the major issue these days. Due to vast and complex power system variation in the load occurs with respect to time which results in rotor angle instability which causes the oscillations in the power system Power system oscillation is one of the major problems in power system operation. If not damped, these oscillations can grow and decrease transmission capacity of the lines which may cause interruption in energy supply. Traditionally, these oscillations have been damped by power system stabilizers (PSS). Recently, FACTS devices such as static synchronous compensator (SVC) equipped with a power oscillation damper (POD) have been also efficiently used for damping oscillation. The function of SVC is to regulate voltage at its terminal by changing the amount of reactive power exchanges with the power system and power oscillation damping is also provided by this device. -Gaurav Kothari ; Dr. Devendra Singh Verma
This research has been carried out to implement the Lean manufacturing in manufacturing unit through value stream mapping i.e. tool of Lean Manufacturing. Value Stream mapping being an effective Lean tool has emerged as the preferred way to identify and eliminate waste, through continuous improvement in almost every type of production business. This research aims at studying on how value stream mapping can be applied to a manufacturing business, in specification to the company manufacturing electric Monoblock Pumps. This research starts with the concept of integration of lean techniques with manufacturing and results in positive response with significant reduction in lead times. The process is first drawn to reflect current state of the electric monoblock pump line then analyzed for opportunities. This also includes identification of various bottlenecks, value added and non value added work content in all activities, so as to minimize the waste. The operation analysis recovered problems that exist in the process and various opportunities for improvement are highlighted with suitable suggestions. Thereby the value stream is rearranged to obtain an optimized process flow i.e. future state. The research concludes with a result that the implementation of future state value stream map can give a significant reduction in the current lead time up to 51% for highly inefficient work station and an average reduction of about 25% for complete shop floor. Various recommendations are also given to improve the current operations within the company limitations. Read More...
