For improving hospital management there is need to improve the patient care by enabling doctors by providing the up-to date information about the patients under his/her direct care. We proposed to develop Smart phone application, names as “CARE†for this purpose. The CARE app uses geo-location capability for this purpose. The CARE application uses geo location capability of a Smart phone and pulls all the patient records automatically moment the visiting doctor opens the app inside or near the hospital. It also displays the sequence in which patients need to be visited as per their medical condition and urgency. The app also provides push notifications for any medical emergency situation with all the required patient information. The server side component uses REST APIs to pull the required information. Providing a Mobile application is again a huge achievement. The paper is about to develop a mobile application using the platform independent technologies. It supports all the types of platform like android, ios, windows etc. Read More...

Design and Fabrication of Geneva Conveyor for Material Inspection & Noise Reduction
-Sanjay.E ; Pratheep Kumar.S; Nandha Kumar.S; Ranjith Kumar.P; Mohamed Ajmal Mahasin
In our project we are using the Geneva conveyor for material handling and noise reduction in industries. It consists of motor, rollers, belt and IR sensor. Two rollers are mount on the stand, according to the required distance. The belt is mount on the rollers on which the materials are placed. The roller shaft is coupled with the Geneva drive. The Geneva drive shaft is coupled with the motor shaft, hence when power is supplied to the motor the rollers rotate with a certain time stoppage according to the Geneva drive and the belt moves along the rollers. Thus material handling is carried out. With the help of Geneva drive, the time stoppage can be achieved which avoids the use of stepper motor thus reduces the cost involved. The main aim of this project is to optimize the measuring length of work piece and to reduce the noise of conveyor. Normally the plug gauges are used to inspect the components. Instead of using manual inspection, automatic system via pneumatic comparators is used. Read More...

Literature Survey on the Flexural Behaviour of Cold Formed Steel Beam Sections
-J Alex ; G.R.Iyappan; S.Suresh Babu
Cold-formed steel structures are steel structural products that are made by bending flat sheets of steel at ambient temperature into shapes which will support more than the flat sheets themselves. Cold formed steel members are extensively used in the building construction industry, especially in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Cold formed steel sections such as channel sections, angle sections are often used nowadays. Built-up I-sections have been extensively used whenever standard I-sections could not satisfy the moment carrying and shear capacities required. Built-up cold formed sections are expected to improve their flexural capacity and to increase their applications. They are also likely to mitigate the detrimental effects of lateral distortional buckling observed with single cold formed steel members of intermediate spans. Various experiments have been carried out to study the flexural behaviour of cold formed steel sections. However, the behaviour of built-up beams is not well understood. This paper aims to present a summary of the various experiments and analyses carried to study the flexural behaviour of cold formed steel sections. Read More...

Progressive Collapse Analysis of RC Multi-Story Building
-Ragavendar B ; Saravanan G
The term “progressive collapse†is the spread of local failure from an element to other element within the structure ultimately causing total collapse of the build-ing. It is caused due to abnormal loading being induced in the building. The abnormal loading may be induced by earthquake, bomb blasting, tsunami, aircraft impact, any other man-made intentional or unintentional activi-ties and other natural hazards. These loadings causes change in the loading pattern and boundary condition of the structure, this result in other structural elements within the structure to load beyond their capacity and fail. Thus the failed structure is required to seek alternate load path in order to redistribute its load. This process continues until the structure finds the equilibrium by element failing or by finding alternate load path to dis-tribute the load. In this project a multi-story building designed, using IS codes is considered for progressive collapse analysis. Linear static analysis is carried out by using ETABS as per GSA guidelines. Story shear and story drift are calculated to know the potential for progressive collapse. Read More...

In this paper effective employee attendance management system using fingerprint is introduced. To identify an individual employee by their employee _id, employee name and their signature is not enough because any one can misuse it. Attendance is marked after employee identification. For Employee identification, a fingerprint recognition based identification system is used. Fingerprint matching technique is used because it is secure, unique for every person and does not change in one’s lifetime. In this project, a crossing number method algorithm is used in which minutiae extraction is done. The unique features called minutiae points of each employee will extract using Crossing Number (CN) method which extracts all the detail of finger including ridge end, neighboring point of each ridge end. This gives the Security, productivity and skills for improving the progress of an organization. It was implemented with Microsoft C# on .NET framework and Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server as a backend. Read More...

Machine Learning in Soil Classification and Crop Detection
-Ashwini Rao ; Janhavi U; Abhishek Gowda N S; Manjunatha ; Mrs.Rafega Beham
This paper describes the SVM based classification and grading of soil samples using different scientific features. Different algorithms and filters are developed to acquire and process the colored images of the soil samples. These developed algorithms are used to extract different features like color, texture, etc. Different soil types like red, black, clay, alluvial, etc are considered. The classification makes use of Support Vector Machine, machine learning technique. SVM seeks to fit an optimal hyper plane between the classes and uses only some of the training samples that lie at the edge of the class distributions in feature space (support vectors). This should allow the definition of the most informative training samples prior to the analysis. The accuracy of a supervised classification is dependent to a large extent on the training data used. Till now classification of soil and classification of crop for the appropriate soil is done separately. This project aims at combining both the techniques, where classification of crop for appropriate soil is a part of classification of soil. Read More...

In today’s world vehicle accident is the major problem. To avoid this we developed automatic breaking system in our innovative project. The system is based on intelligent electronically control system known as “Automatic pneumatic-bumper braking systemâ€. This system is used in four wheeler vehicle & heavy vehicles. This system consists of two mechanisms ie automatic braking system and pneumatic bumper system. Automatic braking system use the infrared sensor (IR), which is used to sense the vehicle coming from front of our vehicle and which is responsible for accident. Then sensor sends feedback signal to engine through the relay control to stop the working of engine. During the working of Automatic braking system simultaneously the driver also try to stop the vehicle by applying brake pedal. Limit switch is placed below the brake pedal which activates the pneumatic bumper system and brake to reduce the damage to vehicle which occurs in accidents. This system provide pre-crash safety to the vehicle. As well as it improves the response time of vehicle braking to keep safe distance between the vehicles. By using this system we can obtain control over the speed of vehicle in short distance. Read More...

Three Phase Auto Recloser Scheme
-Deepesh Paliwal ; Dhananjay; Deep Singh Bhalla; Deendayal Nagar
in this project an involuntary tripping system is to be built for 3-ø supply system. The output of the project resets automatically after a transient interruption in the case of temporary fault occur otherwise it remains tripped in event of permanent fault. There may be any type of failures due to some faults which can be temporary or permanent in natue Ingrid substation or network through which the supply is delivered to the consumers i.e. domestic, industrial and commercial. These faults are the cause of significant detriment to the power system equipments. It is commonly observed In India that the failures in power system are due to the faults that occur during the transmission or distribution of electrical power. The faults can be LG (Line to Ground), LL (Line to Line), LLL (three phase) in the supply systems and these faults in3-øsupply system can affect the power system drastically. To deal with this problem an involuntry operating system is built, which can determine these faults and instinctively disconnects the supply to avoid severe damage to the switch gears and equipments in the electrical grid network. Six 1-ø transformers are used in which 3 transformers are wired in star input and star output, and 3 transformers are wired in delta connections, having input 220V and output at 12V to develop the system. As it is hazardous to simulate faults on mains line so it is advised to follow the concept of low voltage testing of fault conditions? To determine the short duration and long duration fault conditions 555 timers are used. For the LL, LG and 3L fault creation in low voltage side, a number of fault simulator switches are used which activates the tripping mechanism. When the Short duration fault are subjected to system the tripping mechanism returns the supply to the load immediately and it is called as temporary trip while when the long duration faults occur in the system the tripping mechanism completely disconnects the faulty system from healthy system and it is called as permanent trip system. Review of Sheet Metal Deep Drawing Process
-Vishal Kadia
Sheet metal forming is one of the most basic and versatile process which is having highest applicability in Modern world applications , Considering wide applicability of deep drawing process in sheet metal forming product industries, this basic process has been selected for study. Formability of sheet metal is affected by various material and process parameters, where temperature at which process is carried out plays a major role in determining the success rate and time required for manufacturing product of sheet metal. From the literature survey I found that during the Sheet metal drawing process the required steps required to manufacture a product is higher and the process timing can be reduced. For this there needs to be undertake FEA simulation for predicting the effect of temperature on the process variable and number of stages required to draw the component successfully thus minimizing experimental trial and error which can save time and cost of experiments. In this study there needs to work on specimen whose manufacturing processes can be compared in the room temperature and in the specified temperature. After the FEA simulation from the obtained data for the typical component of four stage part, the results shows that at higher temperature the production time can be minimized. Read More...

Incremental Map Reduce Framework for Efficient Mining Evolving In Big Data Environment
-Hasmitha.D ; Dhanya Krishnan P.K; Lekha.L; Kalpana A.V
Keeping in mind the constant growth of data, we require more efficient ways to store and retrieve data. As the data mining techniques that are currently being used become ineffective, new methods or some modifications in the application of the existing techniques becomes a necessity. In this project, the data mining technique that is being used is incremental Map reduce. When the volume of data increases, the computation process becomes tedious. To avoid this problem and to increase the efficiency of data mining we can make use of incremental map reduce process. Wherein, the past output is used to find the key-value pair rather than working from the scratch every time using the Bipartite Graph. By iterating the MapReduce process we can handle dynamic changes in the data efficiently. Read More...

-TUSHAR D. KAMBLE ; DEVENDRA Y. SARODE; PRANAY U. TAMBE; SANDESH G. LAD
A Cleaning of glass walls of modern buildings or skyscrapers is most dangerous work for humans. To do the same task humans/workers should have to work in unsafe conditions. Our idea is to construct a cleaning unit for cleaning of those high-rise buildings which will minimize the risk of humans/worker’s life. Climbing on glass is possible in two different ways 1) Magnetic 2) Vacuum. Climbing the glass using vacuum adhesion necessitates following demands to apply the glass cleaning unit for practical use: 1. Stick to glass surface by means of suction. 2. Clean the glass with the help of cleaning pad. 3. After cleaning climb the robot as per instructions of microcontroller. Read More...

Thermal Performance and payback period analysis of solar photovoltaic cell (PV) assisted earth air tunnel heat exchanger (EATHE) in summer for Bhopal, India
-Sanjay Kumar Tripathi ; P.S. Yadav; Anurag Kulshreshtha; Gaurav Gupta
This investigation deals with analysis of solar photovoltaic cell (PV) assisted earth air tunnel heat exchanger (EATHE) for cooling in Bhopal, India. Today, the world faces the problems like ozone layer depletion, temperature hike, disturbance in human comfort etc. Due to the climate change caused by the refrigerants (CFCs) used in conventional air conditioning systems. When the room air is passing through the Earth tubes, the air is cooled in summer. Using this free energy, we can reduce the energy consumption required for space conditioning. For cooling of buildings, the EATHEs are considered as an efficient means. For renewable energy sources, many people are turning to the sun as a way to generate electricity without pollution. While solar energy definitely has rewards over traditional electricity generation, there are some drawbacks as well. It determines the possible production of green electricity from photovoltaic systems that could be used for air conditioning. The solar energy application through solar panel integrated EATHE for cooling is examined and compared to experimental values. The experimental setup was under operational conditions successfully during the year 2014-15. EATHE is a horizontal type closed loop system consists of mild steel pipe of 24 m long, 0.1584 m diameter and 3 mm thickness and it is buried below the ground surface at the depth of 3.048 m. The experimental set-up was used to studies the performance evaluation analysis of a solar photovoltaic system assisted earth air tunnel heat exchanger that is used for greenhouse cooling for various performance measures. In addition to this, payback period for solar panel aided EATHE is calculated. The payback period is 2.7 years. Calculation has been carried out using a temperature of 400C. Read More...

Detection of Diseases in Intestinal Lumen by Using SVM - Classifier Algorithm
-S.Pavithra ; S.Daksha; J.Subashini; M.C.Shanker
The wireless capsule endoscopy is an emerging technology which is used to detect the abnormalities in Gastrointestinal (GI) tract (i.e. small intestine and large intestine). A endoscopic video consists of more than 57000 images and it is very difficult for physicians to examine the intestinal diseases like ulcer, cancer, bleeding, tumor out of thousand endoscopic images makes the task very difficult and expensive. Our goal is to develop a detection method by using support vector machine classifier. SVM is a non-linear classification which performs efficiently using kernel trick and mapping their inputs into high-dimensional feature spaces, which showed good results in the medical diagnostics and other fields. First, frames presenting intestinal images are detected by an SVM classiï¬er using textural and color information. Secondly, intestinal images are segmented into regions. We show a detailed validation using a large dataset and there may not be large differences in accuracy, there is difference between them in complexity by using SVM algorithm. This paper shows that SVM can be very efficient and yield high accuracy rate of 98.6% and precision of 95.5%. Read More...

-Praveen Kumar.T.H ; Dr. A.R.Santhakumar; Mrs.T.Swedha
This paper investigates about the Bond-Slip behaviour of steel rebars in reinforced concrete for Plain and Ribbed reinforcing bars. Bond strength is influenced by the rib pattern of the bar and RILEM suggested some recommendations to increase the bond strength of the concrete. Two grades of concrete M25 and M30 were casted. A total of 20 specimens were casted using 25mm bar. Twelve cube specimens were casted without reinforcement and casting done in horizontal position and Eight flexure beams were casted. The bond stress-slip response was studied. Pullout test was used to test the cube specimens. Graphical comparison were done between the Load vs Slip and Load vs Displacement for RILEM standards. Slip was measured using LVDT at both ends. Ribbed bars showed better bond strength compared to plain bars and bond strength obtained from both tests produced same results. Read More...
