Study of Bidirectional AC/DC converter with feedforward scheme using Neural Network Control in Microgrid System
-Kanchan Bala Rai ; Prof. Neelesh Kumar
This paper presents the study of bidirectional ac/dc converter PWM with feedforward neural network control. Bidirectional ac/dc converter act as a utility interface between ac grid and distributed energy resources or renewable energy resources. The converter facilitates a battery energy system for power charge or discharge to compensate for the dc bus voltage deviation during severe distribution conditions. Due to these disturbances such as fault occurrences, system loads and varying environmental condition causes overshoot and undershoot problem. This proposed system reduces the overshoot and undershoot to very low value. Current harmonics in a PWM bidirectional ac/dc power converter are reduced considerably by using feedforward neural network. This paper present a modified feedforward technique having neural network and existing model with feedforward technique having PI controller will be compared. Both schemes are explain with experimental result. The proposed simplified PWM provides the better voltage regulation and high fundamental dc output voltage with lower THD and high efficiency. This proposed project has larger fundamental output voltage in inverter mode. Both simulation and experimental results verify the validity of the proposed PWM strategy and control scheme. QoS Based Analysis of Multipath and Single Path Routing Protocols for MANETs
-Gurpreet Kaur ; Gurpreet Kaur
Mobile Ad-hoc networking is a concept in computer communications, which means that users wanting to communicate with each other form a temporary network, without any form of centralized administration. Each node participating in the network acts both as host and a router and must therefore is willing to forward packets for other nodes. For this purpose, a routing protocol is needed. Forwarding packets through MANET’s dynamic changing network is a challenging issue. Most existing MANET protocols are suggested by considering different scenarios of mobile nodes of MANET which function properly in an optimistic manner. The main objective of this research work is to investigate the single and multipath routing protocols based on QoS. The Single Path Reactive Routing Protocol AODV and Multipath reactive routing protocol AOMDV will be considered to analyze the QoS performance of MANETs Read More...

-Prabhneet Kaur ; Mangal Singh
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is widely used multiplexing technique, it is one of the parallel transmission schemes that reduce the effect of multipath fading, but it also have a major drawback which causes saturation in power. And this problem is known as high peak to average power ratio (PAPR), High peak to average power ratio can be reduce by many techniques. The promising technique which help in reducing PAPR is partial transmits sequence (PTS), because it does not deteriorate the orthogonality of subcarrier. But in this scheme the complexity for searching the phase factor is increased with increase in number of sub blocks. In this paper, genetic algorithm have been used which reduces complexity arises during calculating phase factor in the PTS technique. Read More...

Effect of Beach Sand on Properties of Bituminous Concrete Mix
-Chandrashekhar ; Chethankumar H M; Vinutha S; Deepak Dsouza
Demand for modifications is increasing throughout the world parallel to develop the existing highway materials to fulfil the increasing demand of vehicles. Some materials produce good effect and enhance the strength as well as qualities of bitumen. On the other hand, some materials are responsible for adverse effect on the bitumen. The present study, the focus was given to find the effect of Beach Sand in bituminous concrete mixes. Samples were prepared by varying the amount of Beach Sand 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% by weight of aggregate mix. Marshall Property test, Moisture susceptibility test (ITS and RTS) were conducted as per MoRT&H, AASHTO and ASTM standards. The stability value of bituminous mixes were found to be decreasing with increase in Beach Sand content in bituminous mix at the OBC of the conventional mix. Here it is essential to note that instead of conducting the tests at OBC of respective non-conventional mixes OBC is kept constant (i.e. OBC of conventional mix). Since the objective of this project is to make the mix economical, a slightly different approach of maintaining a constant bitumen content is adapted. It is understood that Bitumen is the costliest material used in flexible pavement and every possible effort is to be made to reduce the quantity of bitumen to be used. Read More...

SENSITIVE DATA MONITORING IN PARTIONING TECHNIQUE
-K.Gopalakrishnan ; N.Arasakumar; K.Balaji; S.Mehavarnan; P.Muralidharan
Numerous anonymization methods, such as simplification and bucketing, are designed for privacy preserving micro data publishing. Many works shown that generalization lose considerable amount of information, especially for high dimensional data object. But Bucketization does not prevent membership disclosures and do not apply for data that do not have a clear separation among quasi-identifier characteristics and delicate attributes. In this work, we present a novel technique called slicing partitioning on the data both horizontally and vertically. We show that slicing preserves data utility better than oversimplification and can be castoff for involvement disclosure protections. Another important use of slicing is that it can be used in high-dimensional data. We show how slicing can be used in attribute disclosure protection and developed an effectual procedure for adding the sliced data that obey diversity requirements. Our experiment confirms that slicing preserves better utility than generalizations and more effective than bucketizations in workloads involving the sensitive attributes. Our work also demonstrates that slicing can be used to prevent membership disclosure Read More...

In automobile sector we always try to make everything perfect around us and there are major problem is that puncture in tyre while running. We have developed tubeless tyres but that’s not a perfect solution, so there is a major need of improvement in this sector. In this paper self-inflating tyre system that ensures that tyres are properly filled at all times. Our design successfully implements the use of a portable compressor that will supply air to all tyres via hoses and a rotary joint fixed between the wheel spindle and wheel hub at each wheel. The rotary joints effectively pass air to be channeled to the tyres without the tangling of hoses. If pressure is below the desired, the compressor will refill in the tyre. If it is above desired, excess pressure will release through a valve. With the recent oil price growing concern of environmental issues, this system addresses a potential improvement in tyre wear reduction and an increase in handling & tyre performance in diverse conditions. Detection And Prevention of Hidden State Of Nodes Using HMM
-ChandraShekar Singh Tomar ; Krishna K Joshi
Mobile Ad hoc network is referred to a network where communication takes place without the help of any centralized authority. The topology of network changes when needed, thus nodes move in and out of network. This feature makes this network vulnerable to different attacks. Denial of Service attack is among the most critical attack. In proposed work applying HMM for improving network performance. In HMM detects the hidden state of nodes. This approach observes the behaviour of hidden states of nodes. If nodes behaves maliciously it matches the behaviour of nodes with its observed behaviour of nodes. Read More...

-Megha M. Chavda ; Vipul R. Jagodana; Ami K. Vekariya
This paper presents the synchronization of microgrid with the medium voltage (MV) grid and a method based on achieving secondary level control of microgrid in both islanded and grid-connected modes. Small distributed generators (DG) act as a source for a low voltage (LV) grid or microgrid in order to satisfy the wide-spread power demand of consumer. The gate pulses for the Voltage Source Converters of each Distributed Generation (DG) unit are generated using PWM technique and the secondary level voltage control of microgrid is achieved in both grid-connected and islanded modes. The cascade microgrid system comprising of three distributed generators (DG) on which the studies are performed is simulated in time-domain using PSCAD/EMTDC software. The study results manifest appropriateness of synchronization of microgrid with the medium voltage (MV) grid and the admissibility of the hierarchical secondary level voltage control of a microgrid. Wave power is the transport of energy by ocean surface and can be used to transport this energy in various forms like pumping, electricity generation, etc. Waves are generated by wind passing over the sea surface and pressure difference between upwind at the side wave crest. This wave energy is transferred from a rubber tube to an Aluminium rod which cuts magnetic field with coils wounded onto it and ready to generate electricity according to Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction. The amount of electricity generated would be depend on how big the set up we can built and power of Magnet. This whole project is still under research in United States and In future “Electricity generation by wave†have great potential as it is renewable source of energy. Read More...
