Density Based Traffic Control System
-Sakshi Santosh Pandey ; Mittal Jethva; Sailee Jangam; Yashika Panwar
The project is designed to manage the traffic signal or traffic light by estimating the density or number of vehicle on the road or lane. Traffic light or signal will automatically change by calculating the density. Nowadays traffic is the major issue in most of the cities so by applying this system we can control the traffic. The main objective of this project is to control the traffic lights or signal based on the density of the vehicles in particular lane.In this system, IR sensors are used to evaluate the density of the vehicles which are fixed within a fixed space. All the sensors are incorporated with the microcontroller which in turn controls the working or when to turn on/off the traffic signal or the signal light according to density detected by the sensors. If the traffic density is sky-scraping on particular side more priority is given to that side. The sensors incessantly keep sensing density on all sides and the green signal is set to the side on main concern basis, where the sensors detect high density. The side with next priority level follows the first main concern level. By using this system traffic can be cleared without any worry and time delays even though there is no traffic on the other side can be avoided. For the emergency vehicle, there is a particular RFID card which will be hand over to them. And if the IR sensor will detect the emergency vehicle it will give first priority to that particular lane. Design and Performance Evaluation of Transmitter Receiver Structures for Broadband Wireless Communication Systems
-M. Anand Kumar
Tremendous growth of wireless communication technology is achieved through the rapid improvements in microelectronic circuits. In future Broadband wireless internet and multimedia services requires efficient coding methodologies, simple transmitter and receiver designs. Orthogonal Frequency division Multiplex(OFDM) schemes with some encoding is used in existing broadband systems, due to their complexity of design it is not suitable for future wireless communications. The term single carrier implies a unique carrier which occupies the entire communication bandwidth, and the transmission is performed at a high symbol rate. When compared to the SC modulation, the MC modulation is just an extremely complicated system without advantage over a SC system. In this paper we present overview of the current broadband wireless communication techniques (BWC) and their limitations, channel estimation methods and designed single carrier(SC) frequency domain based equalization transmitter and receiver structures and gives comparison results with the conventional BWC. Based on the performance estimation parameters like bit error rate(BER), Signal to Noise (SNR) Ratio the proposed transmitter, receiver structures will gives better results than existing methods. Partial Discharge Detection in Medium Voltage Three Phase Cables used in the Power System
-S. R. Rathore
Partial Discharge (PD) is the dissipation of energy caused by the buildup of localized electric field intensity. In high voltage (Tension) device such as Cables, transformers, electrical machines etc., this buildup of charge and its release can be symptomatic of problems associated with aging, such as voids, floating component and insulation breakdown. In the Power System Electrical Power cables must be designed as rugged and flexible. The use of power electronic devices cause voltage spikes and introduce harmonics that electrically degrade the insulation of the electrical cables and all kind of equipment using in the power system. Power electronic driver circuits required high frequency and high operating temperatures, which affect the aging and breakdown properties of the cable insulation. In many high voltage systems, breakdown voltage is an indication of insulation condition. Partial discharge presents issues in electromagnetic compatibility as a noise source. Read More...

Multi-Relational Approach for Spatial Clustering
-Murugesan. R ; Rajiv Gandhi. K
A growing attention has been paid to spatial data mining and knowledge discovery. Spatial clustering is the process of grouping a set of objects into classes or cluster that objects within a cluster have high similarity in comparison to one another, but are dissimilar to objects in other clusters. As to the data, several clustering algorithms assume that observations are represented as tuples of a single database relation. This “single table assumption†prevents the consideration of relationships between observations as well as the analysis of data which are logically modeled through several database tables. To overcome these limitations, many researchers have recently started investigating the Multi-Relational Data Mining (MRDM) approach to data analysis. In some sense, graph-based partitioning methods also represent a particular class of multi-relational clustering algorithms. Moving towards a structured concept of spatial object forces to arrange data in different tables, related each others, where each table describes either features corresponding to entire areas or primary units or relations between them. Evaluation of Synthetic High Alumina Blast Furnace Slag Vis-a-Vis its Flow Characteristics
-Vikash Chandra Dinkar ; Satyajeet Kumar
An attempt is made to determine the flow characteristics of synthetic high alumina blast furnace slag prepared in the laboratory in agreement with the compositional variations encountered in the industry using hot stage microscopy (German standard 51730). It is observed that additions of CaO, SiO2, MgO, the major constituents and TiO2, a minor constituent, influence the characteristic temperatures of the slag considerably. From the operational point of view, the combination of high C/S ratio, high MgO and high TiO2 contents in the slag, within the range of compositions investigated, seem to be more beneficial. Here the slag formed is a short slag with a small difference between the melting temperature and flow temperature while the softening temperature is relatively high. Such a slag would soften lower-down the furnace without much interference with the permeability of the furnace bed, yet trickle down soon after it is rendered molten without needing any considerable additional heat input, thus exposing fresh interfaces resulting in enhanced rates of slag-metal reactions/exchanges. Regression analysis equations developed in terms of C/S ratio, MgO contents and TiO2 contents at fixed high alumina content in the slag, using factorial design technique for predicting the characteristic temperatures, are validated through further experimentation with additional ten numbers of synthetic slags. Monsoon is one of the oldest and most anticipated weather phenomena. The unique geographical features of the Indian Subcontinent along with associated atmospheric, oceanic and geographical factors influence the behavior of the monsoon. Monsoon season is crucial to India’s rain fed agricultural economy with its onset launching the sowing season for summer crops. But, this year’s monsoon is especially important as the country faced two back to back deficient monsoons in 2014, 2015. El Nino weather phenomena is showing signs of waning by the time India’s south west monsoon gathers steam around July and August. So, monsoon brings fury of floods in India. Despite of mountainous terrain in north east states, 35% deficiency in rainfall has been observed over North East Region. The present paper is an attempt to analyze the impact of south west monsoon over North East India and to examine the reason behind rainfall deficiency in these regions as compared to others parts of country and also to discuss rent less rain over North-West India. Solar and Wind Hybrid Power Generation System for Street Lights at Highways
-Baskar P ; P. Gokulsrinath; M. Madhusudhanan
In this proposed system, we discuss the universal issues about energy management for renewable resource, Wind / Photovoltaic (PV) hybrid power system in order to improve energy efficiency with LED’s as the light source and placing the wind turbine in addition to solar. The use of LED allows energy saving, high luminous efficiency and high useful life to the proposed system. And in the same way the position of the turbine plays a major role, we had overcome that design for effective power production. By placing the short armed turbine in the horizontal path due to the too and fro motion of the vehicles air pressure is developed on the blades of the turbine. The pressure is developed from both the directions keeps the turbine in continuous motion of all the vehicles such as Trucks, Lorries and Buses, etc., Due to this, an uninterrupted power generation by solar at day time and whenever the vehicles crosses the path both at day and night the turbine rotates and energy is generated. This would put down the electricity bill and reduce the pollution rate to a certain limit. Read More...

Solar Operated Automatic Seed Sowing Machine
-John Chembukkavu ; Aslam Basheer; Basil N Basheer; Arjun Sudhakaran; Sivasekhar BR
the real power required for machine equipment depends on the resistance to the movement of it. Even now, in our country 98% of the contemporary machines use the power by burning of fossil fuels to run IC engines or external combustion engines. This evident has led to widespread air, water and noise pollution and most importantly has led to a realistic energy crisis in the near future. Now the approach of this project is to develop the machine to minimize the working cost and also to reduce the time for digging and seed sowing operation by utilizing solar energy to run the robotic machine. In this machine solar panel is used to capture solar energy and then it is converted into electrical energy which in turn is used to charge 12V battery, which then gives the necessary power to a shunt wound DC motor. This power is then transmitted to the DC motor to drive the wheels. And to further reduction of labor dependency, IR sensors are used to maneuver robot in the field. Here 4 post sensors are used to define the territory and robot senses the track length and pitch for movement from line to line. Seed sowing and digging robot will move on different ground contours and performs digging, sow the seed and water the ground after closing. Read More...

Existing control techniques in power system do not allow both the modes (grid-connected or islanding). To be implemented and transitioned between and this requires the system to de-energize before re-synchronizing and reconnecting to the utility. Here we are developing a control strategy which allows continuous operation of the system during disturbances by transitioning the mode of control to reflect the change in the system mode. This method is an improvement over other methods because it eliminates the need to purposely distort the outputs to sense a disturbance and this allows for DGs to continuously supply power to the system without having to shut down. Corrosion Rate Analysis in Reinforced Slab Elements
-Kavan M R ; M.Rame Gowda; Vijin Xavier
Corrosion of reinforcement has been established as the predominant factor causing widespread premature deterioration of concrete construction worldwide, especially of the structures located in the coastal marine environment. The most important causes of corrosion initiation of reinforcing steel are the ingress of chloride ions and carbon dioxide to the steel surface. After initiation of the corrosion process, the corrosion products (iron oxides and hydroxides) are usually deposited in the restricted space in the concrete around the steel. Their formation within this restricted space sets up expansive stresses, which crack and spall the concrete cover. Corrosion loss consumes considerable portion of the budget of the country by way of either restoration measures or reconstruction. The content of chlorides in the salt induces corrosion in the rebar of RCC.As the content of chloride increases and also it accelerates the rate of corrosion in the rebar. Read More...

Conventional and Improved DSTATCOM Topology to Mitigate Power Quality Issues
-Mr. Satish S. Tambe ; Mr. Pavan N. Salunkhe; Mr. E Vijay Kumar; Mr. Pawan C. Tapre
Traditionally linear filters based on combinations of resistors (R), inductors (L) and capacitors (C) called passive filters & static capacitors were used to improve power quality (PQ) which has problems like fixed compensation. However, to mitigate power quality issues a FACTS controller termed as Distribution Static Compensator (DSTATCOM) was introduced in recent years. DSTATCOM addresses various issues like harmonic distortion, reactive power compensation, power factor corrections etc, by injecting or absorbing reactive and harmonic components of load currents. A high power rating voltage source converter (VSC) is used for DSTATCOM. The rating of VSC is based on DC link voltage. Conventional DSTATCOM employs L-type filter interface to reduce DC link voltage which reduces power rating of VSC. In improved DSTATCOM topology LCL-type filter is interface at front end. The comparative review is presented in this paper. Read More...

Gun jet drilling is a process that produce deep, straight hole in a variety of materials. A gun drill tool differs from a conventional twist drill by its unique head geometry; a standard gun jet drill has a maintain straightness. The result of this burnishing activity is very round hole with a very precision diameter. Gun jet drill makes it possible to produce close tolerance hole in cast iron, carbon and alloy steel, tool steel, It offers size location and straightness accuracy where critical tolerance are important in on operation at low cost, often eliminating one or more secondary operations, gun jet drilling offers the capability of burr-free holes and bottom forming of blind holes. An important fact about gun jet drilling is that it is highly repeatable process. Once the conditions are establish such as spindle speed, feed rate, and coolant pressure, gun jet drilling become a push button process independent. Read More...

Study on Sugarcane Baggage Ash Replace by Cementinious Material
-Jamsa Sufiyan Shokat ; Dr. K B Parikh; M A Jamnu
Today Concrete is huge demanded construction material which consumes a very high amount of cement. One tone of cement produces almost one tone of CO2 (Carbon dioxide) which is a very series problem for the environment. So present condition requires alternate solution of cement in the proposed paper I will try to replace cementitious Material by Sugarcane Bagasse Ash. Which is Sugar industrial west material. Utilization of industrial and agricultural waste products in the industry has been the focus of research for economic, environmental, and technical reasons. Sugar-cane bagasse is a fibrous waste-product of the sugar refining industry. Huge quantity of ash which is a waste product, available at very negligible rate. In these Paper Sugarcane Baggase Ash Replacing with Cement Material. Generally Sugarcane Baggase Ash Replace With Cement at 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30%. Read More...

-Swami N.M. ; Swami N. M.; Kenjale S. M.; Gore T. C.; Chirme S. R.
Now days, the matter of finding question aspects that area unit multiple teams of words or phrases that designate and summarize the content coated by a query [1]. The necessary aspects of a question area unit typically given and continual within the query high retrieved documents within the variety of lists, and question aspects may be deep-mined out by aggregating these vital lists. Systematic answer, that system visit as QDMiner, to mechanically mine question aspects by extracting and grouping frequent lists from free text, HTML tags, and repeat regions inside high search results[2].Query results area unit accessed from Google by exploitation Google API. Experimental results show that an outsized variety of lists do exist and helpful question aspects may be deep-mined by QDMiner. Analyse the matter of list duplication, and realize higher question aspects may be deep-mined by modelining fine-grained similarities. Read More...

Review Paper on Electromagnetic Band-Gap Structure (EBG) Antenna
-Miss. Kumbhar Snehal Suresh
This paper gives an overview of recent research on new application of Electromagnetic Band-Gap (EBG) structure antenna to integrate circuits and antennas. An important part of EBG antenna is the control of electromagnetic wave propagation and surface wave distribution over EBG substrate or board with periodic structure. Many compact and small periodic EBG’s structures have been design to solve antenna design problems such as Mushroom like EBG’s, Hair pin like EBG’s etc. In simple Microstrip Patch Antenna (MPA) have low gain, efficiency and bandwidth. This resolved by using MPA with EBG structure antenna and this antenna properties is to reducing the back radiation for better performance of antennas. Read More...
