-Mercy P ; Satheesh M ; Arun Prasanth I; Aravinthan S
The electromagnetic engine has the various advantages over the internal combustion (petroleum, gasoline) .the main advantage is, there no fuel is being used in the electromagnetic engine. There no pollution which is very desirable for the present days. And with the no combustion (by fossil fuel) take placed in the cylinder. There is very little heat generation from the inside the cylinder. The transmission system can be used in the electromagnetic engine with the less noise is producing during working. The disadvantage of this engine will be very high cost for the permanent magnet and electro magnet .then power for the permanent magnet will decrease time and replacing the during regular interval. The EM is not flexible as the internal combustion engine. The battery is the power source for it. Also, by inserting more number of the permanent magnet is connected in series on the piston will enhancement the output of the engine. Also, the battery needs to be charged regularly which is difficult with different time consuming. By modification of design and with better hand engine can be modified and generate more power, with increasing its efficiency. Since it can be used in some commercial vehicle (transport) and for any other application on it. Read More...

Improvement of Road Drainage System for Indian Roads
-V. K. Mittal ; Arvind Kumar
Drainage quality is a necessary parameter that affects the route pavement performance. Excessive water content in the pavement base, sub-base, and sub-grade soils can cause early distress and lead to a structural or purposeful failure of pavement. Thus, when choosing acceptable maintenance methods price|the value|the price} of pavement maintenance has to be compared with the cost of rising the standard of drain. Hence, there is a requirement to quantify the effect of varied forms of drain quality on performance of the pavement. However, very few studies have investigated to what extent quality of drain affects the performance of pavement. Therefore, this study identifies a simple framework for quantification of result of drain quality on structural additionally as purposeful performance of the pavement. The proposed framework presents the structural and purposeful performance of the pavement is foreseen in terms of deflection and roughness severally. It is expected that this study will helpful to cut back the upkeep price of route pavement system and thus are helpful to preserve large route network in India. Drainage of water from pavements has been a necessary thought in building for over 2000 years. However, modern process, handling, and placement of materials frequently result in base courses that don't transmit water or drain; combined with exaggerated traffic volumes and masses, this often leads to pavement distress caused by wet within the structures. Water related damages on the pavement will cause one or a lot of the following styles of deterioration,
1) Reduction of sub-grade/sub-base strength
2) Differential swelling in expansive sub-grade soils
3) Stripping of asphalt in versatile pavement, etc., Free water is that the kind of most concern to the designer because it will decrease the strength of the pavement and is the solely kind of water that may be considerably removed by gravity drain.

Effect of Coconut Husk on the Properties of Concrete
-Ajay Kumar Sharma ; Susheel Kumar Gupta
Concrete is the premier construction material around the world and is most widely used in all types of construction works, including infrastructure, low and high-rise buildings, and domestic developments. It is a man-made product, essentially consisting of a mixture of cement, aggregates, water and admixture(s). Inert granular materials such as sand, crushed stone or gravel form the major part of the aggregates. Traditionally aggregates have been readily available at economic prices and of qualities to suit all purposes. But, the continued extensive extraction use of aggregates from natural resources has been questioned because of the depletion of quality primary aggregates and greater awareness of environmental protection. In light of this, the non-availability of natural resources to future generations has also been realized. Different alternative waste materials and industrial by products such as fly ash, bottom ash, recycled aggregates, foundry sand, china clay sand, crumb rubber, glass were replaced with natural aggregate and investigated properties of the concretes. Apart from above mentioned waste materials and industrial by products, few studies identified that coconut shells, the agricultural by product can also be used as aggregate in concrete. Thus, the aim of this work is to provide more data on the strengths of coconut shell concretes at different coconut shells (CS) replacements and study the transport properties of concrete with coconut shells as coarse aggregate replacement. The concrete obtained using coconut shell aggregates satisfies the minimum requirements of concrete. Concrete using coconut shell aggregates resulted in acceptable strength required for structural concrete. Coconut shell may offer itself as a coarse aggregate as well as a potential construction material in the field of construction industries and this would solve the environmental problem of reducing the generation of solid wastes simultaneously. The coconut shell cement composite is compatible and no pre-treatment is required. Coconut shell concrete has better workability because of the smooth surface on one side of the shells. The impact resistance of coconut shell concrete is high when compared with conventional concrete. Moisture retaining and water absorbing capacity of coconut shell are more compared to conventional aggregate. The amount of cement content may be more when coconut shell are used as an aggregate in the production of concrete compared to conventional aggregate concrete. The presence of sugar in the coconut shells as long as it is not in a free sugar form, will not affect the setting and strength of concrete. Read More...

Current approaches to addressing the matter are “utility centrical,†commanding the importance of localized activities by customers, groundwater extraction via non-public wells, and formation recharge by fresh water harvest home. we have a tendency to propose a framework that produces it attainable to judge a wider vary of centralized and localized policies than antecedently thought-about. Water deficiency in Calif. may be a major issue. With increasing demands, new water sources are being explored and enforced. desalination of briny and brine is turning into additional in style, however prices are still high for top energy use, capital, and allowing. Whereas most typical water prices are below the price of desalinated water, this might modification. Though briny desalinization is already economical brine desalinization is unattractive with prices. Decreasing prices from technological advances together with rising prices for typical water sources may build brine desalinization engaging in some regions for a few uses. Specifically, many extremely inhabited, coastal regions with brine desalinization may become financially engaging by the tip of the last decade if prices still decrease. However, brine desalinization is unlikely to be economical. Read More...

Reliability Analysis Method for Predicting Characteristic of Storm in India
-Dilip Kumar
Most of the countries round the Ocean are vulnerable by storm surges related to severe tropical cyclones. The destruction as a result of the storm surge flooding may be a serious concern on the coastal regions of Bharat, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Oman. Storm surges because significant loss of lives and property harm to the coastal structures and losses of agriculture that cause annual economic losses in these countries. These and most of the world’s greatest natural disasters related to the tropical cyclones are directly attributed to storm surges. The most objective of this text is to focus on the recent developments in storm surge prediction within the Bay of geographic region and also the Arabian Sea. Delivering correct cyclone forecasts in time is of key importance once it involves saving human lives and reducing economic loss. Difficulties arise as a result of the geographical and climatological characteristics of the varied cyclone formation basins aren't similar, that entails that one prediction technique cannot yield reliable performance altogether ocean basins. For this reason, world prediction techniques ought to be applied beside basin-specific techniques to extend the forecast accuracy. As cyclone track is ruled by a variety of things variations in weather, wind pressure, ocean surface temperature, air temperature, ocean currents, and also the earth’ move force the Coriolis force, it's a formidable task to mix these parameters and turn out reliable and correct forecasts. In recent years, the provision of appropriate information has augmented and a lot of advanced prediction techniques are developed, additionally to recent techniques having been changed. Specifically, artificial neural network primarily based techniques are currently being thought-about at earth science offices. This new technique uses freely offered satellite pictures as input, will be run on commonplace and may produce forecasts with good accuracy. For these reasons, artificial neural network based techniques seem especially suited for developing countries which have limited capacity to forecast cyclones and where human casualties are the highest. Experimental Investigation of Double-skinned Composite Stub Column
-Maria Jacob ; R. Gowri
a steel-concrete composite column is a compression member, comprising either a concrete encased hot-rolled steel section or a concrete filled tubular section of hot-rolled steel and is generally used as a load-bearing member in a composite framed structure. In a composite column both the steel and concrete would resist the external loading by interacting together by bond and friction. Supplementary reinforcement in the concrete encasement prevents excessive spalling of concrete both under normal load and fire conditions. The simplest form of concrete-filled steel tubes consist of a single hollow steel tube filled with concrete with or without internal steel reinforcing bars, while a double skin tubular column consist of two generally concentric tubes with the space between filled with concrete. DSTC have higher bending stiffness, lighter weight, higher fire resistance capacity, high strength-to-weight ratios and good corrosion resistance. Hence In the present study double skin tubular columns (DSTC) are considered in which the strength criteria and failure pattern were studied. In the present study the DSTC specimen is made of outer FRP tube and inner steel tube for which the hollowness ratio is varied from 0.4 to 0.8 and slenderness ratio from 2 - 3.3 are being considered. Conventional concrete and Geopolymer concrete are used as infilling material for which the test results are being compared. Read More...

A Study of Double Basin Solar Still: A Review
-Jaidev ; Munish Gupta; Puneet Katyal; Himansu
The device used to produce fresh water from saline water with the use of solar energy is commonly known as solar still. The productivity of simple solar still (conventional still) is nearly 1 - 2 L/m2/day. Many researchers and scientists have performed experiments on different designs of solar still to improve their performance. Double basin solar still is one of the design of solar still having higher productivity 30-40 % than conventional solar still. Productivity and efficiency of this types of solar still can be further increased by using evacuated tube collector, internal heat exchanger, and wick materials used with it. This review article describe the attempts by different researchers to increase the productivity of double basin solar still. A double basin solar still is consist of two basin still in which one basin is mounted on another. The main benefit of using this system is that the amount of latent heat energy of vapour which is condensed at lower surface of inclined glass cover in lower basin is used in heating the upper layer of water rather than heat loss to the ambient. Study of Effect of Tool Geometry on Cutting Force Generated During Turning
-V. B. Magdum ; Dr. V. R. Naik
This paper deals with the measurement of cutting force components generated in turning for different cutting parameters and different tools having various rake angles while machining EN 8 steel. The rake angles of the tool were changed using selected cutting parameters; thus, the cutting force components were measured. The selected cutting variables and the tools in different rake angles were tested practically under workshop conditions. During the tests, the depth of cut and cutting speed were kept constant and each test was conducted with a sharp tool. Finally, the effects of cutting parameters and rake angles on cutting forces were analyzed. A cylindrical EN8 work piece was turned using Carbide tools for 3 different rake angles (0°, 5° and 10°). A total of 9 experiments were carried out with three feed rates (0.065. 0.13 and 0.26 mm/rev) for each rake angle, keeping the cutting speed (384 rpm.) and depth of cut (1 mm) constant. During the experimentation, the forces were measured using a dynamometer. The experimental results show that the thrust force (Ft) is greater than the feed force (Ff) irrespective of the tool rake angle. The cutting forces were found to decrease with the increase in positive rake angle. Read More...

Creating Associated Digital Signature System and Applications
-Thulasipriya. K ; Dr. D.Thilagavathy
It is important to secure the data while transition in wireless network. Many routing available in wireless network. If a node want to send the data packets to destination means it firstly sent to neighbour node then it will reach destination. Sometimes it may cause some routing problems and vulnerability in secure systems. In order to achieve better routing with high security we propose cluster based data transmission technique. All the nodes in our network formed in to some groups which is called cluster. Cluster head is selected based upon the election algorithm. To support scalability, nodes are often grouped into disjoint clusters. Each cluster would have a leader, often referred as cluster head (CH).A CH is responsible for not only the general request but also assisting the general nodes to route the sensed data to the target nodes. For these multi certificates PKI (MCPKI) which supports user self-services, such as certificates spontaneous substitution as well as self-reissue after self-revocation. We concentrate on both RSA and digital signature for verifying the nodes trustworthiness. Our simulation results shows that the proposed RSA cryptographic technique provides high level secure transmission than existing system. Read More...

-Mr. Abhimanyu D. Deshmukh ; Mr. Vivek R.Patil; Mr. Vivek S. Chavan; Mr. Mahesh M. Kadam; Mr. Dipak M. Bhosale
The oldest dropping dumping has been conceived by observing the difficulty in unloading the sand or assets. there are survey in this regards in automobile garages, revealed the facts that mostly difficult methods were adopted in unloading the materials from the trailer or dumper . This paper has mainly on above difficulty. Hence a prototype of flexible arrangement has been designed. Vehicles can be unloaded from the trailer in three axes without application of any other force. There are way of the mechanism are be control with the help of ball and socket joint which connected to ram of the hydraulic cylinder which lifting the dumper cabin in require side. Further modifications and working limitations will put this work in the main league of use. This research paper is help to saves time & energy which helpful to efficient working. Truck, tipper, dump truck are used to transport loose material from one place to another place at any site in mines or in dump yards to accomplish the actual site requirement. If one can understand the ground condition and availability of space in mines and on construction site, it is very tough task to unload loose material at appropriate place, adjustment of trailer is needed which take considerable time and effort to unload loose material. There was everyone knows that tipper is most useful for unloading loose material on construction site, mines and dump yards. The system available is to unload material on back side. As considering the mines space available is less due to which unloading raw material on left or right side is not possible to take this as a problem Multisided tipper tilting is the need of time. To overcome one side tilting of dumping, multisided tilting mechanism is come into focus. This will help to reduce the efforts to unload loose material one side of tipper. Read More...

A Review on: Medical Image Compression Techniques
-Megha Vaishnav ; Mr. K. Chandrashekhar
A compression of medical imagery is an important area of biomedical and telemedicine. For the medical application image study and data compression are quickly developing fields with rising application services and tele-radiology, tele-consultation bio-medical, tele-medicine and medical data analysis. The complexity involved in the processing of the medical images significantly differs from that of ordinary images. The ordinary natural scene images are taken from the generic digital image capturing devices, while the medical images are captured from a sophisticated image capturing devices. Hence a normal image processing algorithm are not directly applicable in medical images and requires some short of enhancement to fit for the extraction of the diagnosis origin of the medical images. Different algorithms are proposed in this paper like DWT and SPIHT, block based method DWT, DCT, DTCWT, arithmetic coding technique etc. In medical image compression, diagnosis and analysis are doing well simply when compression technique protect all the key image information needed for the storage and transmission. Image compression literally means reducing the size of the graphics file, without compromising on its quality. Image compression is required to minimize the storage space and reduction of transmission cost. Read More...

Differential Locking System
-Mr. Waghmare Akash S. ; Mr. Shinde Sandip V.; Mr. Kavle Ashish S.; Prof. Tathe P.G.
a conventional differential that is non-locked differential always supplies close to equal torque to each side. With an automotive differential if one wheel is held stationary, the counterpart wheel turns at twice its normal speed. A differential locking system introduced here can be engaged or disengaged either manually or automatically, as per the conditions or a sensor based system can be developed that will sense the difference in speed or stalling of one wheel to lock the differential by sliding a dog ring to get engaged in planetary gear spike shaft so that both wheels will have same traction. If the difference in the speed of driven and rolling wheels is encountered then the differential is controlled to lock. When a working vehicle travels on a inclined ground or on an unleveled ground, slipping causes a difference in revolution between right and left wheel impairing straight running of the vehicle. it is therefore conventional practice to equip a working vehicle such as a lawn mower or a garden tractor which needs to be run in a straight manner with a differential locking mechanism to forcibly stop the differential revolution of the wheels. If the differential lock remained on during all time then it may leave scratches on the ground. Hence an automatic differential locking system has to be designed to eliminate the above disadvantage. This system permits the differential to be locked only when the steering angle is below a predetermined value and release the lockup when the steering angle exceeds it. Read More...

Behaviour of Gold Price in Indian Commodity Market: An Econometric Analysis
-Prashanta kumar Behera ; Dr. Ramraj T Nadar
Commodities play a very important role in the macroeconomic environment of an economy. Shortage of commodities can lead to wide price fluctuations and higher level of volatility leading to higher risk benefit for investors. Excess availability of the same would lead to depressing price situation forcing producers out of business at times. Commodities are typically traded in various market layers starting with large wholesale trading between producers and investors and ending with retail small quantity trading between retailers and end users. A commodity market generally attracts large number of middlemen and financing agents who take possession of physical assets and store them at warehouses to sell them at appropriate time to make sufficient profits to stay in business. Depending on the layers of middlemen in the market structure, the end users' price deviates from the producers' price. The spot commodities market deals in physical form of commodities movement. Price of commodities which are perishable in nature (like agricultural products) behave little differently than non-perishable commodities like metals and energy commodities. However, commodities futures markets have been able to bring stability to the spot markets. The theory of storage and the normal backwardation theory explain the relationship between the spot and futures prices in commodity markets. Read More...

The Home Automation Using Solar Energy system implemented for to reduced human efforts therefore we used three different methods. This help to reduce the work as required. The first module is switching on the devices on basis of timer. Here the user inputs the timer from when he wants the device to start and also the terminating time. The timer is based on system clock (computer’s clock). The second module is switching ON the device through mobile. Here the mobile is used with internet to sending request for device ON to the computer (PC). For devices switching ON and OFF we used Visual Basic software through make a window on computer screen. The third module is switching ON the devices through manually. Here the user gives input in the command when he wants the devices ON and OFF as well as START and STOP. The gas detection also included in this system. The LPG gas detector detects the gas and at that time buzzer started and window of kitchen opened automatically through motor drive circuit. We add one more feature garden light is depends on the sunrise and sunset. The total circuitry required supply from two section one supply through solar panel and another supply through mains.
