Purifying Test Cases for Improving Fault Localization
-Akthar Nazir ; Mr. M. Mohan; Uzma Farooq
Software fault localization is one of the most expensive, tedious and time consuming activities in program debugging. Therefore, there is a high demand for automatic fault localization that can guide programmers to the locations of faults, with minimal human intervention. This demand has led to proposal and development of various method, each of which seeks to make the fault localization process more effective in its own unique and creative way. In this paper we use concept of test case purification for improving fault localization. The goal of test case purification is to separate existing test cases into small fractions called purified test cases, which consists of three major phases: test case atomization, test case slicing, and rank refinement, purified test cases consist of only one assertion statement in each test case. Structural Behaviour of Bubble Deck Slabs and Its Application: an Overview
-Neeraj Tiwari ; Sana Zafar
The Bubble Deck slab is a newly designed biaxial concrete floor slab system. High density polythene (HDPE) hollow spheres are placed in the center of slab by replacing the ineffective concrete its decreases the dead weight so increases the efficiency of floor. It have many advantages over normal solid conventional concrete slabs it decreases the cost and reduces material used and also enhances the structural efficiency of the slab it decreases the time of concentration and is a green technology. Through the test performed on models, Bubble deck was proved as better slab in comparison to solid concrete slab. The reduced dead load gives better response and more economical for the structure while offsetting the slight increase in deflection of slab. The punching shear & shear resistance of bubble deck floor is low in comparison to conventional solid slab since it is directly related to depth of concrete. for reduction of these differences in strength, the reduction factors have been suggested. ANALYSIS OF A TWO DIMENSIONAL RECTANGULAR FIN USING NUMERICAL METHOD AND VALIDATING WITH ANSYS
-PRATIK JITENDRAKUMAR PATEL ; JAVAL SUDHIRBHAI MODH; AMIT DINESHBHAI PATEL
The two dimensional fin is analysed by numerical methods and validating with ANSYS by taking same boundary conditions and same grid size by taking certain assumptions. There are many mathematical techniques are available for finding the temperature distribution on fin surface [1][2]. But it contains higher order partial differential equation. So it is difficult to solve the equation. Numerical techniques convert the partial differential equation in linear algebraic equation which is easy to generate a program in MATLAB. Due to unavailability of actual practical set up we are taking ANSYS analysis is a base. For two dimensional problem even finite differences method is quite difficult to give the temperature distribution. But numerical method is comparatively easy and increases accuracy by taking more number of iteration or even number of grid because of availability of programming software. Read More...

Kers on Motorcycle
-Devda Nagsingh Shersingh ; Shaikh Mohammad Rizwan Usman; Rathod Nirav Vinod; Singh Mangesh Shivshankar; Khan Rehan
Due to the soaring prices in fuel and the rise in emissions, there has risen a need for development of new mechanisms that help in overcoming these milestones. New methods have been developed as to control the emissions, increase the fuel economy of vehicles, and also achieve more power from conventional methods by small modifications. One such modification/mechanism is KERS. Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) is a term that implies on the recovery of the kinetic energy of a moving vehicle under braking. This recovered energy is then stored in either a battery or a flywheel for further utilization under acceleration. This system is generally used in Formula-1 race cars where it serves for two purposes. Firstly, the energy stored in the battery/flywheel could be used to boost one’s speed in racing conditions, especially to overtake the opponent at turns. Secondly, since the energy save is purely recovered from the vehicle itself, it can be utilized in the field of “Green Technologiesâ€. Read More...

ACO better as Optimization Technique in MANET: A survey
-Chitra Sharma ; Prof. Yakuta Karkhanwala
Mobile Ad Hoc Networks are networks that consists of wireless nodes, randomly organized and placed without any support of fixed communication infrastructure. Mobile means Moving Nodes in network, Ad hoc represents “For this purpose†(i.e. Latin) & Ad hoc network – sums to be self-organizing, self-configuring and adaptive network. Hereby, all nodes can be understood to be mobile, can enter or leave communication network at any moment of time. One of major issues out of many is routing. There are various type of optimization schemes that play vital role in minimizing the efforts of routing for any network. This includes Evolutionary Algorithms, Genetic Algorithm (GA) i.e. stochastic method of searching which impersonates the natural evolution and societal behaviour of species. Learning automaton (LA) is an adaptive decision-making element situated in a random atmosphere that learns the best action through repeated communications with its environment. The actions are chosen according to a specific likelihood distribution which is updated based on the environment response the automaton obtains by execution of a specific action. Another conventional method many researchers have proposed adoption of Swarm Intelligence for routing. This refers to complex behaviour from simple individual behaviour and interaction which are more often witnessed in nature amid Ants, Bees, Fishes or Birds, etc. Ant Colony optimization has been proved to be better technique for developing routing algorithm for MANET. A Novel Approach for Underwater Image Enhancement
-SHAIFALI KHUNGER ; KUSHAGRA SHARMA; ASHISH VERMA
A well-known problem concerning the underwater images is related to the density of the water in the sea which is considered 800 times denser than air. So reflection of the light varies greatly depending on the structure of the sea. Another main concern is related to the water that bends the light either to make crinkle patterns or to diffuse it. For example, the movement of autonomous underwater vehicles generates shadows in the scene while the optical camera provides limited visibility when it is used to capture underwater images. Due to these problems clarity of underwater images is degraded by light absorption and catering. This causes one color to dominate the image. In order to improve the perception of underwater mages, we propose an approach based on stretching and filtering. The objective of this approach is twofold. Firstly, contrast equalization by contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization. Secondly apply following four filters sequentially, filters as Homomorphic filtering, wavelet de-noising, bilateral filter and we apply contrast and intensity stretching for normalizing the color values. These filters are applied sequentially on degraded underwater images for smoothing the image. After that we will conduct the experiments using estimated optimal parameters for evaluating the proposed technique. We will also evaluate the technique such as Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Mean Square Error (MSE), and Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) of the images. Read More...

Impulsive Noise Reduction in OFDM Transmission with 256 QAM Modulation Scheme
-Prashant Gupta
The high data rate Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) with high spectral efficiency and its ability to soften the possessions of multipath makes them appropriate in wireless application. Impulsive noise twists the OFDM transmission and thus methods must be explored to conquer this noise consequence. Various efficient impulsive noise reduction schemes are already proposed for low order modulation and higher order modulation such as QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM. In this paper, impact of Middletons Class A man-made noise is simulated and reduced in OFDM transmission by using 256 QAM modulation scheme. Read More...

-ABDUL SAYEED ; AWIJ AALAM SHAIKH; KHAN MOHD TABISH; MOHD ANIS SIDDIQUI; ANSARI ADEEB
In this paper, we present a new dual band planar antenna. The proposed antenna consists of a microstrip patch with 2 narrow vertical slots that is fed by a quarter wave transformer. Dual-frequency patch antennas may provide an alternative to large-bandwidth planar antennas, in applications in which large bandwidth is really needed for operating at two separate transmit and receive bands. When the two operating frequencies are far apart, a dual-frequency patch structure can be conceived to avoid the use of separate antennas. The designed antenna operates at two frequencies namely 2.792GHz and 3.216GHz. Simulation of microstrip patch antenna with 2 vertical microstrip slots structure using HFSS Electromagnetic simulator. -B.R.Dabhi ; K.M.Viramgama
This work focused on optimizing the cutting conditions for the minimum surface roughness (Ra) obtained in machining of stainless steel SS410 grade. Machining experiments were performed at the CNC machine using carbide cutting tools on SS410 materials. Cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut were chosen as the cutting parameters. Taguchi L9 orthogonal array was used to design of experiment. Optimal cutting conditions was determined using the signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio which was calculated for Ra according to the ‘‘the-smaller-the-better’’ approach. The effects of the cutting parameters and tool materials on surface roughness were evaluated by the analysis of variance. The statistical analysis indicated that the parameters that have the biggest effect on Ra for SS410 materials with Spindle speed 2400mm/rev, depth of cut 0.7 mm and feed rate 0.1 mm respectively. The more effecting parameter is spindle speed. Read More...

Analysis of Effect of Polypropylene Fibers on Workability Characteristics of Concrete
-PAWAN KUMAR
Plain Concrete has very low tensile strength, limited ductility, very low resistance of cracking behaviour. Polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete is an ideal way to control shrinkage, cracking, micro cracks, macro cracks and induces high ductility. But apart from this, fiber reduces the workability characteristics of concrete and it makes difficult use for site application. The purpose of this study is to analyse the workability characteristics on different percentage of polypropylene fiber by volume of concrete on M30 grade with having water cement ratio 0.40. The fibers contents were varying from 0%, 0.50%, 1.00%, 1.50% and 2.00%. This study is done for Polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete pavement design. Read More...

Thermal & structural analysis in Welded pipe flange Joints with help of FEA
-Dattatray D.Chincholkar ; Jaydip J.patil
for large components it is very difficult to produce castings. Fabrication process is referred over casting because of its ease and simplicity in producing welded joints for large vertical turbine pumps. Fabrication involves welding of components like pipe to flange, motor stool, discharge head, connection of piping with different welded joints. During welding process stresses are developed in weld elements. The stresses can have important consequence on performance of engineering components. Weld stresses have a significant effect on corrosion fracture, corrosion resistance and fatigue performance. The reduction of these stresses is desirable. The nature of stresses in welded structures is considered in terms of their magnitude, direction, spatial distribution, range and variability. Welding of pipe to flange results in stresses built up and distortions which provide negative efforts on structural integrity and sealing capability of pipe flange joints. The effect that occurs are stress corrosion cracking, brittle fracture, reduced fatigue and creep strength, poor sealing performance and reduced buckling strength etc. Therefore it becomes very essential to determine stresses induced in elements. The Paper gives the brief look on investigation the extent and distribution of stresses & flux built up and distortions in welded pipe flange joints. Read More...

-Dattatray D.Chincholkar ; Prof.P.R.Kulkarni
The efficiency improvement for flat-plate solar collector can reduce its size and obtain higher temperature fluid at outlet for wider application. In response to these demands, different highly-effective techniques have been used in the past to enhance the thermal performance of solar collectors including the methods of reducing the heat loss from the top surface or increasing the energy gain inside the solar converter. Many researches carried out numerous experimental and mathematical investigations on Performance improvement of solar flat plate heat collector. Enhancement techniques can be applied to flat-plate liquid solar collectors towards more compact and efficient designs. Extensive work has been carried out in order to enhance the performance of flat plate collector using former passive techniques and still there is very limited research literature available on performance enhancement using the tubes of special geometries. The Paper gives the brief look on the suitability of changing shape of tubes of special geometry. The performance of solar flat plate collector with formed tubes is compared with performance of standard circular tube. The performance parameter like collector efficiency, mass flow rate and temperature difference of such formed tubes is much less than that of circular tube. Read More...

-A.KANCHANA ; HARINI R; NIVETHIDHA R; P ARAVIND ; S.M.GIRIRAJKUMAR
We have proposed here a novel method which overcomes the drawbacks in the existing process control technology efficiently. In the current scenario of process control, the choosing of controller to any particular system and development of its algorithm possess a major constraint to the system, further the adaptability of the developed controller to other constant or variable in the system is minimal. So, here in this project we have designed a new virtually platform using LabVIEW which is able to build, predict the parameters and PID values for the given system on its own and could efficiently overcome the problem of adaptability to new variables of the given system. The proposal entitled as Autonomous Tuning of controller. The idea is focused on development of PID controller without human interference. For the proposed method we are using MyRIO “1900†which can be connected to any given system and monitored wireless with a computer interfaced through LabVIEW, where our virtual platform is developed.
