-P.Pavithra ; M.Poonkothai; P.Rubiya; R.S.Suganya; J.Shanmuga Sundaram
Under water object detection is widely discussed area to detect objects, mining, vehicles and species in oceans and seas To perform a color-based recognition of an object, we develop an algorithm robust with respect to the attenuation which takes into account the light modification during its path between the light source and the camera. Underwater computer vision has to cope with distortion and attenuation due to light propagation in water and with challenging operating condition. In previous method, if any of the objects are in same color and same size we cannot detect the exact object. Moreover, detected image contains salt and pepper effect and also distorted by some background unwanted images. Two algorithms are used to rectify these effects. .In this paper Principal components analysis is used. PC ALGORITHM is used to remove background images and shape recognition, and FUZZY METHOD is used for scene segmentation are designed to achieve robust object detection as it produces a clarity image. SOBEL ALGORITHM is used to eradicate the salt and pepper effect in the image. The robustness of the proposed method results for different captusred images are compared to those obtained with the linear Sobel operator. It is gave a permanent effect in the lines smoothness and straightness for the straight lines and good roundness for the curved lines. Read More...

Low Power Low Area Shift and Add Multiplier Architechure Using BZ-FAD
-M.Nivetha ; M.Shanmugaraj
The Digital Signal Processing (DSP) is one of the core technologies in multimedia and communication systems. Most of DSP applications such as fast Fourier transform (FFT) require additions and multiplications. A digital multiplier is the fundamental component in general-purpose microprocessors and in digital signal processors. In this paper very low power multipliers is proposed which uses shift and add architecture for its operation. Here we are trying to reduce the switching activity of the circuit. We are going to implement the circuit using a low power delay buffer which uses ring counter designed with clock gated by C-element[1]. In digital VLSI system the clock distribution network and flip-flops are most power consuming components. In the ring counter, double-edge-triggered (DET) flip-flops are utilized to reduce the operating clock frequency by half, which considerably reduces the power consumption. The c-element can avoid the possibility of glitches, a crucial property for a clock gating signal. The ring counter with clock gated by the C-elements can effectively eliminate the excessive data transition without increasing loading on the global clock signal. The proposed architecture also uses BZ- FAD technology, hence reduces the switching activity. The proposed architecture not only lowers the switching activity but also reduces the unwanted data transmission and power consumption. Read More...

Binary logics and devices have been developed with an advance technology and gate design era. The design and implementation of each logical circuit become compact and easier to design. Therefore present logic devices that can implement in binary and multi valued logic system. Except binary value logic the multi-valued logic system logic gates differ in different logic systems, a quaternary logic has become mature in terms of logic gates and algebraic terms. Some multi valued logic systems such as ternary and quaternary logic schemes have been developed. Quaternary logic has several advantages over binary logic. Therefore it require half the number of digits to store any information than its binary equivalent it is good for storage; the quaternary storage mechanism is less than twice as complex as the binary system. The Various digital building blocks and quaternary logic gates are presented and its power comparisons are made by using tanner tool. Read More...

ATM Terminal Security using Fingerprint Recognition
-GHOGARE RUSHIKESH ARUN ; SAKHARE AKSHAY; MAHIND HRISHIKESH; PROF. SAGAR SHINDE
Today recognition and identification is most important thing. We use this at accessing bank accounts via ATM, etc which is necessary for securing personal information. But the conventional methods like ID card verification or signature does not provide perfection and reliability. This system employed for at these places which provides fast enough and robust too. In already known ATM system identification is done on basis of ID card and then 5-digit password. So in normal identification methods with ATM, criminal cases are increasing making financial losses to customers. Whereas in our proposed system simple fingerprint recognition system with opt using LPC2148 as a core controller. OTP is a onetime password that is known only authentic user for only one login to the respective system. If user is unauthorized, system will not allow further access. Primary step of our proposed system is that when an person will swipe his smart card to the ATM machine, then he will get OTP on his registered mobile no. if typed OTP is correct then fingerprint module will active and fingerprint module capture the thumb image and that image will compare with its stored image if it is correct then user will get money, if that image is not correct then alert message will send to the registered no. of the user. The system uses FIM3030 fingerprint module to capture fingerprints with its processor and optical sensor. This system can be suitable at any application with enhanced security because of the uniqueness of fingerprints. Read More...

Paper is the most important part of human life. Modern civilization cannot be imagined without the use of paper. Likely, daily routine starts with the use of paper and also end with the use of paper. And large amount of waste paper is generated. Sometimes or everytime it causes environmental pollution. A survey from the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur shows that 17 trees are required for the paper production of 1 ton of paper. Also, we have seen that, in any big institutions, especially educational institutions like school, colleges and universities, generates large amount of waste paper. Our motive was to fabricate the small scale automatic paper recycling machine which enables to recycle paper at home, colleges and GRAMUDYOG as well. Though the recycled paper from this machine is not so smooth and thin as like produced from mill by wood. But they can be used for banner, title, greeting cards, also for making hand bags, box for packaging etc. This machine increases production rate and the turnover ratio as well. Read More...
