Literature Review on Enhancing Cloud Security for Data Outsourcing
-Mr. Patil Rahul Mahavir ; Prof. Dhainje Prakash. B.
In several distributed systems a user should only be able to access data if user posses a certain set of credentials or attributes. Security is an important property in role based access control system. To preserve the confidentiality and Integrity we need certain policies. We present a system for realizing complex access control on encrypted data that we call Cipher text-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption. We enhance abstract syntax tree (express the user role and permission) with cipher text policy attribute based encryption technique. This will provide the security policy for the administration. The cipher text policy attribute based encryption is much more flexible than plain identity-based encryption. The access control to system resources must be provided efficiently and confidentially. The security policy such as Organization policy and Government policy can be made. Proposes an access control scheme called Collaborative Ciphertext-Policy Attribute Role Based Encryption (C-CP-ARBE). Our C-CP-ARBE integrates Role based Access Control (RBAC) into a Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-based Encryption (CP-ABE). Read More...

-Maitra S Aldi ; Dr. Baswaraj Gadgay; Zameer Ahamad B.
A design for a general and reconfigurable structural design for approximation of DCT (Discrete cosine Transform) is proposed. Approximation is needed to reduce complexity of calculations in DCT without altering its performance. An algorithm is presented in this project for obtaining approximate DCT coefficients of length N from two N/2 lengths of DCTs with N number of additions for preprocessing of input. An algorithm proposed here is highly scalable for software implementation and for hardware implementation as well and involves lesser computational complexity to achieve several power of 2 DCT. The presented parallel architecture to compute approximation of DCT is fully reconfigurable; it is configured to compute 32-coefficient points DCT along with two parallel 16- coefficient points DCTs or four parallel 8- coefficient points DCTs. The scalable design is used in compression of different size of images. Read More...

-Pankaj Vilasrao Kawade ; Pankaj Vilasrao Kawade; S. G. Ganiger
This experiment provide method for increasing tube-in-tube exchanger performance. The tube-in-tube heat exchanger is designed in order to study the process of heat transfer between two fluids through a solid partition. It will be designed for a parallel flow as well as counter-flow arrangement. The logarithmic mean temperature difference (LMTD) method of analysis is adopted. Water will be used as a working fluid for the experiment. The parameter required to find out the effectiveness of the heat exchanger will be arranged in this setup such as the inlet and outlet temperature of the hot and cold fluid, flow rate of the fluid power etc. The modified wire mesh tube in tube will be replaced for the ordinary tube in tube so the surface area is increased so maximum heat will exchange from hot side to the cold side. This will be proved by calculation of the LMTD, Heat transfer coefficient and temperature difference. The experimental procedure carries tests for both ordinary heat exchanger and wire mesh heat exchanger. Arrangement will be made such that in one set we can achieve the both parallel and counter flow by simply opening and closing of the valve shown in the process of this whole setup. This set up is used for comparing the Logarithmic mean temperature difference, heat transfer coefficient, the effectiveness and the temperature difference for the modified wire mesh heat exchanger & with the ordinary Heat exchanger. From the results, it is observed that the overall heat transfer coefficient and effectiveness is increased for Wire Mesh heat exchanger as compared to the ordinary tube heat exchanger. Read More...

Heat Transfer Enhancement Through Extended Surfaces with Various Geometries - A Review
-Rahul Krishnaji Bawane ; Nilima Baliram Gadge; Dinesh Krishnaji Bawane
In many engineering applications large quantities of heat have to be dissipated from small areas. Heat transfer by convection between a surface and the fluid surroundings it can be increased by attaching to the surface thin strips of metals called fins. The fins increase the effective area of the surface thereby increasing the heat transfer by convection. Fins are manufactured in different geometries, depending up on the practical applications. Most of the engineering problems require high performance heat transfer components with progressively less weights, volumes, accommodating shapes and costs. Extended surfaces (fins) are one of the heat exchanging devices that are employed extensively to increase heat transfer rates. The rate of heat transfer depends on the surface area of the fin. This paper reviews the various geometries of pin fins used to enhance the heat transfer rate and also the outcomes of the research work done in different countries. Read More...

Fatigue and Fracture Analysis of Tacho-Way Drum Assembly using Finite Element Analysis
-Sangamesh Metri ; Raviprakash M
Structural design is very important for functionality and safety of the modules. Due to rotation and torsional loads, the components are subjected to changing stress amplitudes by which fatigue is the main mode of failure compared to the normal structural loads. In the present a drum conveyor system using tacho way guide ways is failure under the given loads. So aim is to find the possible cause of failure. The location of failure is near the bearing. For mounting of the bracket, the shaft has been cut with a small groove which is required for mounting of the bracket. So analysis needs to be done to find the effect fatigue and fracture effects on the configuration. So fatigue calculations are carried out based on Ansys, which shows nearing fatigue stress with minimum factor of safety in the problem. Further cracks are created to find the fatigue fracture life of the component. The result shows increased alternating stress with crack propagation showing that any possible crack will cause the failure of the drum shaft system. Read More...

Seismic Analysis of RC Building Frames with Different Bracing Systems
-Mohammed Ali Khan ; Prof S. M Hashmi; Asst. Prof. Shaik Abdulla
In multistoried buildings steel braced frames is used in resisting lateral loads. For strengthening or retrofitting seismically inadequate reinforced concrete frame the use of steel bracing is a viable solution for inducing seismic resistance. An analytical study is required to be performed to gain understanding into the behavior of braced frame under earthquake loading. By using steel bracings drift is controlled and collapse is prevented. Steel bracings system occupies less space, easy to erect and has flexibility to design for meeting the required strength and stiffness. In RC buildings strength and stiffness is increased by the use of steel bracings to be safe against natural forces like Earthquake. In this study G+15 building frame is analyzed with different bracing systems under seismic loading in seismic zones III, IV, V. as per IS 1893-2002. E-TABS Software is used for the analysis of the building frame. The results of various bracing systems (X-Bracing, V-Bracing, K-Bracing, Inverted V-Bracing, and Inverted K-Bracing) are compared with bare frame model analysis. The effectiveness of various types of bracing systems is studied in order to control the lateral displacement, storey drift & member forces in the frame. It is found that all the bracing systems control the lateral displacement very effectively. Therefore the object of the study is to determine the degree of effectiveness of different bracing arrangements to increase the sustainability of the RC frame against the effects of Earthquake. Present Scenario of Road Accident and Latest Methods for Road Safety
-Premit Kumar Patil ; Satayjit Banerjee
Road accidents are increasing very rapidly. The Global status report on road safety 2015, reflecting information from 180 countries, indicates that worldwide the total number of road traffic deaths has reported at 1.25 million per year. According to official statistics 141,526 persons were killed and 477,731 injured in road traffic crashes in India in 2014 However, every road injuries are not reported to the police .The actual numbers of injuries requiring hospital visits may be 2,000,000-3,000,000 persons. It reflects into every minute one road accident occurs and one death reported from every four minutes. Hence it is alarming situation for transportation agency to reduce this road accidents statistics. Traditional methods are applying for road safety like wearing seat belts, adequate road marking, proper signaling on intersection but it seems that these methods are not adequate to reduce road accidents, so it is necessary to provide some advance methods for road safety. Evaluation of transport safety has been a concern of road authorities for many years. Improvement of road infrastructure, road design, vehicle design and human training contribute to a decline of the number of casualties on rural and urban roads. Read More...

Nano particulates reinforced metal matrix composites are very promising materials compared to micro sized particulate composites, which possess superior strength, ductility and wear resistance. Nano composites are very useful in many automobile and aerospace applications. The metal matrix composites are filled with Nano particles will vary the mechanical and physical properties of the material compared to those of the matrix. The Nano particles can improve the properties of base material in terms of mechanical strength, wear resistance, toughness, fatigue life and damping properties. Predominantly different kinds of metals like Al, Mg, Ti, Zn and Cu are employed for the production of composites with the reinforcement of Nano particles such as graphite, Al2O3, SiC, B4C, TiC, Si3N4 as well as carbon nano-tubes. The main drawback for the synthesis of these metal matrix composites is that the low wettability of the reinforcement phase by the molten metal, it is not possible synthesis by conventional casting techniques. In literature several other techniques for the production of Nano-composites are available. The present work is aimed at reviewing the synthesis of bulk metal matrix Nano composites, the important techniques in manufacturing and a review of improvement of Nano-reinforced metal matrix composites mechanical properties and the applications. Shear Strength Improvement of Sandy Soil using Coconut Fibre
-Vijay Shrivastava ; Urvi Upaddhaya; Abhishek Tiwari
Shear strength is most important property of soil. It depends on particle interaction. Shear failure of soil occurs when particle slides over each other. When it comes to sandy soil then concern for shear strength increases, as the particles in sandy soil have only frictional force in between them. There is no cohesive force in between particles of sandy soil. The aim of this work is to investigate the variation in shear strength by adding coconut fiber. Coconut fibers are of brown color and are also known as coir fibre obtained from the outer shell of coconut. It is a waste material which can be utilized as a reinforcing material for soil. In this experiment 20 mm long coconut fibre are used to reinforce sandy soil and shear strength is evaluated by direct shear test. The result shows that there is 29% increment in shear strength parameter of sandy soil by adding coconut fibre. Read More...

Performance Analysis of Stock Market Prediction Techniques
-Roshani Gandhe ; Prof. Manoj S. Chaudhari
Stock market values keeps on changing day by day, so it is very difficult to predict the future value of the market. Although there are various techniques implemented for the prediction of stock market values, but the predicted values are not very accurate and error rate is more. Hence an efficient technique is implemented for the prediction of the stock market values using hybrid combinatorial method of clustering and classification. The dataset is taken from shanghai stock exchange market and is first clustered using K-means clustering algorithm and these clustered values are classified using horizontal partition decision tree. Stock prices prediction is interesting and challenging research topic. Developed countries' economies are measured according to their power economy. Currently, stock markets are considered to be an illustrious trading field because in many cases it gives easy profits with low risk rate of return. Stock market with its huge and dynamic information sources is considered as a suitable environment for data mining and business researchers. In this paper, we applied k-nearest neighbor algorithm and non-linear regression approach in order to predict stock prices for a sample of six major companies listed on the Jordanian stock exchange to assist investors, management, decision makers, and users in making correct and informed investments decisions. According to the results, the kNN algorithm is robust with small error ratio; consequently the results were rational and also reasonable. In addition, depending on the actual stock prices data; the prediction results were close and almost parallel to actual stock prices. Read More...

Distributing Page Rank for Peer to Peer Systems
-G. Yesupriya ; C. Muruganandam
Page Rank is extensively used for ranking web pages in order of relevance by mostly all search engines world-wide. There are many algorithms for page ranking such as Google Page Rank algorithm, Hyperlink-Induced Topic Search (HITS) algorithm etc. Some search engine uses link structure based page ranking algorithm while some uses content based. The page ranking algorithm reflects the popularity of a web page in its page rank score. But with the growing requirements of ordering more and more relevant web pages, the traditional page rank algorithm undergoes several enhancements and improvements. The main aim of this paper is to discuss the various existing page ranking algorithms and the modification done to the standard page rank algorithm. This paper defines and describes a fully distributed implementation of Google’s highly effective Page rank algorithm, for “peer to peerâ€(P2P) systems. The implementation is based on chaotic (asynchronous) iterative solution of linear systems. The P2P implementation also enables incremental computation of page ranks as new documents are entered into or deleted from the network. Incremental update enables continuously accurate page ranks whereas the currently centralized web crawl and computation over Internet documents requires several days. This suggests possible applicability of the distributed algorithm to page rank computations as a replacement for the centralized web crawler based implementation for Internet documents. A complete solution of the distributed page rank computation for an in place network converges rapidly (1% accuracy in 10 iterations) for large systems although the time for an iteration may be long. The incremental computation resulting from addition of a single document converges extremely rapidly, typically requiring update path lengths of under 15 nodes even for large networks and very accurate solutions. Development of Agitator to Enhance Its Mixing Time
-Pardeshi Rahul H. ; Quraishi Imran M.
Mixing is one of the most primary operations in industries like chemical, Biochemical, food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical applications. Though the customer have standard sized agitator with standard parameters but this method is time consuming as well as it consumes the more power for a batch type process. In this work the power requirement for small size agitator to mix two fluids are analysed with optimum time. This paper describes the mechanical design of agitator to mix polyelectrolyte having viscosity1.5cp considering the fluid forces that are imposed on the impeller by the fluid. Agitator design is often though as the application of two engineering disciplines. The first step is process design from a chemical viewpoint and involves the specification of the impeller pattern, speed, temperature and blade angle etc. The next step in the design sequence is the mechanical design of the agitator component. The approach is straight forward design for the power (torque & speed) then shaft loads. The experiment is carried out for agitator 500 litres of capacity. Drawback of the old agitator is removed. The old agitator does not gives homogeneous mixing. Read More...

The direction of reactive energy in the system are analysed to identify the internal and external fault in the system and these characteristics of reactive energy are used to construct directional protection. And appropriate protection method is applied using relay and circuit breaker combination. The positive sequence voltage analyser will be used to extract the voltage and logical operator combination is used to extract the tripping signal for the relay and also circuit breaker. Bipolar 12-pulse HVDC system is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink software. And simulations for various faults are carried out. This project clearly identifies the internal and external faults in the system. Read More...

A Nobel Blur Detection Classification Technique using KNN Classifier
-Ravi Saini ; Sarita Gera
Blur Detection, in this when the image is spital varying, then the blur detection in the picture is quite difficult task, As the image is captured, the image can blured due motion and out of focus parameters and on the basis of this, blur can be devided as the local blur and global blur. Blur detection is basically to separate the Blured part and Unblured part. In this work, the use of KNN (nearest neighbor) search algorithm allows the recovering as much information as possible from the available data. An image look more sharp or more detailed if able to perceive all the objects and their shape correctly in it. The shape of an object due to its edges. So, in blurring, simply reduce the edge content and make the transition from one colour to the other very smooth. The reviewed paper proposed method of classifying discriminative feature of blur detection Using SVM Based Classifier. But there were few limitations associated with SVM (support Vector Machine) based Classifier, they failed to segment the image properly and has inherent problems of kernels which are solved by the use of KNN search algorithm which improves the Blur Detection technique and classifies the Blur area more accurately. The hybrid classifier, which is basically the combination of the two SVM and KNN classifier shows the more better and accurate results of the blured Detection. Read More...

-Poonam Suresh Kshirsagar ; Prof. R R Karhe; Prof . C S Patil
An exponential increase in number of vehicles demands the use of automated systems to retain vehicle information. The information is highly required for both control of traffic as well as cutback of crime. Automatic Number plate recognition is an image processing technology and can be successfully used for automatic vehicle identification. The objective is to design a robust method for automatic detection of authorized vehicle number plate. The system can be implemented for safe parking management in Parliament, Supreme Court, buildings and other parking lots etc. This System used captured vehicle images and extracts the number from license plate. The system is based on a combination of thresolding, labeling, filling up the holes approach method and region props technique with area criteria test for the number plate localization. The character recognition was accomplished with the help of optical characters by the process of Template matching. We mainly concrete on four steps: one is to locate the number plate, second is to segment all the number and to identify each number separately, third is distinguish each character and the resulting data is then used to compare with the records on a database so as to come up with the precise information of the owner such as place of registration and owner name etc which is used to check the authenticity. Alteration and Strengthening of Existing Two Storey Structure to Four Storey Structure
-Dutambodhi U. Gajbhiye ; Dr. Valsson Varghese
Due to the scarcity of space and change in utility of structure, vertical expansion of the structure has become essential. There can be many reasons such as ever increasing population, changes in the operating system, required improvement of safety margins etc. This will be managed by increasing the number of stories. But the existing structure may or may not be able to sustain the newly constructed stories. Since the load carrying capacity of existing structure reduces due to age and relaxation. The existing structure must be strengthened to sustain additional storey load. During the design process various governing factors (like additional load, earthquake load, additional live load etc) will be considered. Read More...

Survey: Various Attacks on Cognitive Radio
-Sadiya Khanam ; Amandeep Kaur
Cognitive radio seemed as a prominent technology that improves spectrum efficiency. Due to speedy growth of wireless technology, there is a growing demand for radio spectrum. Cognitive Radio provides a solution to the spectrum shortage problem by allowing secondary user to use the spectrum when the spectrum is vacant. Spectrum sensing detects the unutilized spectrum or white spaces to know if the licensed user is present or absent. The interference can occur to licensed spectrum if there is inefficiency in spectrum sensing. To make network robust and less harmed, it is necessary to provide security of data transmission over these networks against the various types of attacks. This survey paper has presented different types of attack. Read More...

An Improved Energy Detection Scheme under Noisy Environment
-Meera Kalra ; Malika Arora
Spectrum sensing is the distinct feature of cognitive radio technology that makes it significant different from other wireless technologies developed so far. This feature embed cognition to the handheld device embeds Spectrum sensing gives an idea of detecting the presence of the incumbent users in a licensed spectrum. In most of the previous works, researchers either have taken fixed threshold or adapted it based on signal to noise ratio at receiver end. In this paper, we have used channel information rather than signal to noise ratio to decide threshold of an energy detector and shown that our proposed technique improves detection probability and reduce false alarm probability over state of art techniques available so far. Application of Workload Distribution Technique to Improve Line Efficiency in Bakery Oven Manufacturing Unit
-Pavan Kumar S J ; Dr. S Bharath
An assembly line is a manufacturing process (most of the time called a progressive assembly) in which parts are added as the semi-finished assembly moves from workstation to workstation where the parts are added in sequence until the final assembly is produced. By mechanically moving the parts to the assembly work and moving the semi-finished assembly from work station to work station, a finished product can be assembled faster and with less labor than by having workers carry parts to a stationary piece for assembly. A study was carried out in ABC Company which manufactures ovens. It was found that machines used there are utilizing more time for producing ovens. This production time will be reduced by using industrial engineering technique called work optimization in the assembly line which helps to solve the real life problem, the task time data and waiting time data was collected for all the nine stages of the assembly and further the results were obtained. The line efficiency after grouping the work station is increased from 43.07% to 79%. And the balance delay reduces from 56.2% to 21%. This makes that work load distribution uniform across the workstations which makes the flow of the assembly line much smooth. After increasing the line efficiency and decreasing the balance delay the productivity has increased and now the ovens are manufactured in a less time compared to earlier time. And real life problem was solved. Read More...
