Material Handling Equipment for Textile Industries
-Mr. Sheelratan S. Bansode ; Mr. P. G. Chitte; Mr. S. S. Rathod
Textile sector in India plays an important role in the country's economy. In India, Solapur is one of the renowned centers for textiles with approximately 6000 power loom industries operational in the district. The textiles use a beam for the winding of the threads on it, which is later on mounted on loom. The process of beam lifting without any effects on the health and production seems utopian in these days, thus creating high absenteeism in the workers and hampering the production. Considering this fact, the present work focuses on to design a beam lifting device for the textiles using jacquard looms in Solapur City (one of the key textile cluster) in the state of Maharashtra, India. There are many lifting devices available in the market but are not suitable for the textile units in Solapur. The units using jacquard powerloom are pre-established and have no scope of expansion thus, there is no space available in the textile units for the free motion of these devices and also because of high cost of these devices. The study is aimed at developing a beam lifting mechanism which would be capable of reducing the physical strain on workers and the accidents caused during the beam lifting. The designed device and its parts are being modeled using CATIA V5 R19 and these models are being analysed using FEA software ANSYS.it can be concluded that the designed device is safe and is suitable for the layouts of the textiles in Solapur. This device will surely help to reduce the manpower required for the beam lifting process and will also help to reduce the stress and strain on workers. Read More...

-Anwar Bari ; Prof. A. A. Zilli; Dr. S. Qamar Abbas
Web applications and their underlying parts are growing rapidly to offer services over the internet around the world. Web applications are composed of heterogeneous self-contained web services. Service requires changes due to changes in the customer requirements, to fix errors or to enhance their functionality. Regression testing is helpful in verifying that functioning of web services has not regressed after modifications or maintenance. Test suites tend to grow in size making it too costly to execute entire test suites. Audit testing of Web services is a form of regression testing with limitation on cost and time. The main challenges behind audit testing of web services descend from traditional regression testing problems, such as test case selection and prioritization for which existing solutions are nonetheless inadequate. In this paper critical analysis has been done for audit testing method. Overview of the testing and audit testing techniques presented by researchers is evaluated, various test case prioritization techniques have been discussed for the generation of minimized test suites for the test selection. Experimental Investigation on Effect of Aggregates and Steel Fibers on Modulus of Elasticity of Concrete
-K. Suresh ; P. Silus
Plain, unreinforced concrete is a brittle material, with a low tensile strength, limited ductility and little resistance to cracking. In order to improve the inherent tensile strength of concrete there is a need of multidirectional and closely spaced reinforcement, which can be provided in the form of randomly distributed fibres. Steel fibre is one of the most commonly used fibres. Short, discrete steel fibres provide discontinuous three-dimensional reinforcement that picks up load and transfer stresses at micro-crack level. This reinforcement provides tensile capacity and crack control to the concrete section prior to the establishment of visible macro cracks, thereby promoting ductility or toughness. The modulus of elasticity of concrete is a very important parameter reflecting the ability of concrete to deform elastically. In addition, in order to make full use of the compressive strength potential, the structures using high strength concrete tend to be slimmer and require a higher elastic modulus so as to maintain its stiffness. Therefore, knowledge of the modulus of elasticity of high strength concrete is very important in avoiding excessive deformation, providing satisfactory serviceability, and avoiding the most cost-effective designs. The present experimental study considers the effect of aggregate size and steel fibres on the modulus of elasticity of concrete. Crimped steel fibres at volume fraction of 0%.0.5%, 1.0% and 1.5% were used. Study on effect of volume fraction of fibres and change of aggregate size on the modulus of elasticity of concrete was also deemed as an important part of present experimental investigation. This work aims in studying the mechanical behaviour of concrete in terms of modulus of elasticity with the change of aggregate size reinforced with steel fibres of different series for M30 and M50 grade concretes. The results obtained show that the addition of steel fibre improves the modulus of elasticity of concrete. It was also analyzed that by increasing the fibre volume fraction from 0%, to 1.5% there was a healthy effect on modulus of elasticity of Steel Fibre Reinforced concrete. Read More...

-Keerthi Prasad.H ; Dr.BASAVARAJA BANAKARA
Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping System, as an integrated system of PV, Variable frequency drive and pumping system, which deals with the simulation and design of an effective pumping system. Thus the techniques of modeling and photovoltaic theoretical studies can be obtained by using equivalent circuits. The system also includes the maximum Power point tracking (MPPT), which can add efficiency to the total system. This paper presents the effective way to optimize the Solar photovoltaic Water Pumping System (SWPS) through both by simulation and by using a practical setup and thus evaluating the whole system performance. However the system also includes DC-DC converters for the proper voltage conversion and operation. Thus the whole SPWS system is being simulated through MATLAB, so the comparative study can be done on the performance of the system. Here the simulation in MATLAB verifies the system and MPPT functionality. Incremental Conductance (IC) method is used for maximum power point tracking (MPPT). The maximum Power variation is due to both irradiance and temperature. Since the conversion efficiency of PV Array is very low, it requires maximum Power point tracking (MPPT) control techniques. Thus every VFD’s will power with MPPT Technology. This basically deals with Total System evaluation, which will be optimized based on the obtained water output for the given DC Power input.. The simulation results were carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed Scheme improved the performance of the systems. Read More...

Air pollution has significant effect on exacerbation of asthma, allergy and other respiratory diseases. Particulate matter less than 10µm in size can pass through natural protective mechanism of human respiratory system and plays an important role in genesis and augmentation of allergic disorders. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are ubiquitous by products of incomplete combustion or pyrolysis of carbonaceous and organic matter (e.g., tobacco, coal, charcoal, diesel, gas, and wood). PAHs are hydrocarbons with two or more fused aromatic rings and there are several hundreds of these compounds. Airborne particles of organic origin contribute significantly to the total particle burden in the atmosphere, either directly or indirectly by burning of biomass and soil re-suspension. In present study PM10 samples were collected using high volume APM 460 NL sampler. Whereas, APM 550 MFC sampler was used for PM2.5 sample collection. All the samples were collected for 24 hr sampling time at Mumbai city . Analysis of 16 USEPA priority PAHs was carried out using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled with photo diode array (PDA) detector. PM10 and PM2.5 with associated PAHs concentrations were compared for annually average. The Seismic Analysis of RCC Structure with Column Beam System and Slab Shearwall System
-N. Sudheer Kumar ; J. Vara Prasad; B. Sudharshan Reddy
In the present scenario the high raised concrete buildings are increasing day-by-day in construction field. Construction became one of the significant sectors of Indian economy and is the major part of the development. For growing population the speed of construction needs to be given greater importance especially for large housing projects. And performance of structures under frequently occurring earth quake ground motions resulting in structural damages as well as failures have repeatedly demonstrated the seismic vulnerability of existing buildings, due to their design based on gravity loads only or inadequate levels of lateral forces. This necessitates the need for design based on seismic responses by suitable methods to ensure strength and stability of structures. Shear wall systems are one of the most commonly used lateral load resisting systems in high rise buildings. At present construction the typical floor plan in a structural system of high raised concrete buildings can be easily done by slab-wall form compared to column-beam system and the behaviour of the building under gravity and lateral loads is analysed by using ETABS 2015 version software for G+9 building. Comparing various parameters such as storey drift, deflection, etc., of a building under lateral loads based on strategic positioning of shear walls. Based on linear and nonlinear analysis procedures adopted, the effect of shear wall location on various parameters are to be compared. Read More...

Estimation of a Residential Green Building
-Gaurav Tyagi ; R.K. Sharma; PRAVENDRA YADAV
The construction and its reliability are closely inter-related and in the past decade, the green building’s popularity has greatly increased. This shows the importance of construction along with environmental conservation. For example, buildings and their related construction activities produce almost one third of world greenhouse gas emissions. The construction and operation of buildings contribute to almost half of the worldwide consumption of raw materials and energy. This has led to increase in attention towards “green building†by planners, developers, and investors. Green building can effectively solve the problem of shortage of resources; but as the construction of green buildings is very costlier as compared to conventional buildings, these buildings are not constructed generally. In this paper, we will analyze the construction cost of a residential type green building. Through the analysis, the results prove that there are several factors that influence the cost of green building, such as technology used in green building, project positioning, type of services and materials required for the construction, construction technology, building materials prices and local conditions. Study of Effects of Weight Force on the Deflection of Simply Supported Beam Under Uniform Distributed Load
-Yingzhi Yang ; Zixian Wang; Tianze Xu
In the present study, the long slender simply supported beam having uniform square cross section made of linear elastic material properties that are homogeneous and isotropic is taken, and the deflection of the beam is investigated. The deflection of a beam is essentially a three-dimensional problem. A compression accompanies an elastic stretching in one direction in perpendicular directions. The model of a beam is studied under two different conditions [1]. Under both, the condition some boundary conditions are the same as uniformly distributed load, with one end fixed and on the other end with a directional constraint. The difference in the two conditions is that in one condition, the weight of the beam is assumed to be negligible, and in the second case, the weight of the beam is considered. It is also assumed that the beam is inextensible and thus strains are also negligible. Considering this assumption first using the Bernoulli-Euler bending moment-curvature relationship, approximate solutions of the beam are obtained from the general set of equations. Then assuming a set of dimensions, deflection values of the beam are calculated analytically. A finite element analysis of the beam when the weight force is considered is conducted in ANSYS 14.5. Numerical results are generated by taking the origin of the Cartesian coordinate system at the fixed end of the beam. The deflection of the beam from its weight is 2.9%. Read More...

-Rahul Khatriya ; Nitesh Rane
Refrigeration is a process for maintaining a temperature below the surrounding temperature. Tetrafluroethane R134 is commonly used as a refrigerant in domestic refrigeration after 2000, before that halogenated refrigerants R12 were used in refrigeration which responsible for ozone layer depletion which act as armor for preventing us from ultraviolet radiation. Refrigerant R134a has zero ozone layer depletion (OLD) but higher rate of global warming potential (GWP) and after Kyoto protocol global warming is serious issue as it increases the overall temperature of our surroundings and then arising the need of alternate refrigerants that can be used in place of refrigerant R134a (Tetrafluroethane) in domestic refrigerator. In this paper, study has been done on the alternative refrigerant for replacing the traditional refrigerant R134a. Various researchers working for the find an alternative refrigerant with higher coefficient of performance and cooling effect. Many researchers investigated the blend of propane and isobutane (R290 & R600a) which is a pure hydrocarbon refrigerants which have the almost same thermodynamic physical properties as of Tetrafluoroethane refrigerants. In this paper reviewed the various research works for selecting the blend of refrigerant, acceptable thermo-physical properties, blend in various proportion and operating parameters. Read More...

Steganographic Techniques for Data Hiding in Image and Text
-Shruti Tarachand Upase
We propose a novel transform that preserves the dynamic range—infinity-norm rotation. This transform is perfectly reversible and piecewise linear, and keeps the maximum value unchanged. We apply the transform to reversible data hiding, which can be utilized for fragile data hiding and covert communication. After the inverse transform applied to the image with hidden data, no overflow or underflow occurs to the pixel values, and small changes of the coefficients in the transform domain result in small changes of the corresponding pixel values after reconstruction. With progressive symmetrical histogram expansion, we obtain very high embedding capacity for data hiding in the transform domain of infinity-norm rotation. Furthermore, the embedding capacity can be further expanded with blocked coefficients and low-frequency coefficients, which is demonstrated by our experiments. Read More...
