Enhancement of Fusion using Adaptive Fuzzy Logic on Multisensor Images
-Girraj Prasad Rathor ; Sanjeev Gupta
Image enhancement means to enrich the perception of images for human viewers. Image fusion is performed on many schemes. DWT is the most generally used image fusion method, which fuses the source pictures or images in wavelet space as maintained by some fusion rules. But, because of the uncertainties of the source images contributions to the fused image, to intend a good fusion rule to fit in however much data as could reasonably be expected into the fused picture turns into the most vital issue. On the other hand, AFL is the most ideal approach to determine uncertain issues, a new image fusion technique based on DWT and adaptive fuzzy logic is introduced in this paper. Before doing discrete wavelet transform to source images, it computes the weight of each source images coefficients through AFL and then fuses the coefficients through weighted averaging with the processed weights to acquire a combined picture. By using the Mean Square Error (MSE) as criterions, simulation results would demonstrate that the new method is more effective and strong than the conventional fusion methods based on wavelet transform. A Review on Utilization of Waste Heat from a Refrigerator
-Omkar Borkar ; Nishant Jalkotkar; Suman Kuila; Devesh Magar; Shrikant Jadhav
Refrigerators and air conditioners take in electricity to extract heat from orange juice and ice cream and sweltering living rooms. The energy expelled in the form of waste heat has a lower utility than the original energy source. The sum of the heat extracted plus the work that went into the cooling process is discharged in the form of waste heat, and there must be a temperature difference between the machine and the ambient air in order to drive that heat out. As this heat from a refrigerator is dissipated out in the atmosphere, the efficiency of the system reduces. The aim is to utilize the dissipated heat for some other purposes and increase overall efficiency. The input and the output of energy are considerably balanced. The project refers to a new and improved dual temperature refrigeration unit. The model contains two compartments i.e. hot and cold. The hot compartment is used to keep the food warm and cool compartment is used for the purpose of water cooling. Read More...

Public Auditing for Shared Data with user Repealability in the Cloud
-Shishir Thakre ; Shubham Thantharate; Kasturi Dhabale; Rashmi Mankawde; Manisha Patil
Now a days, cloud is frequently expanding its storage and data sharing services. Users can easily modify and share data as a group. But in technical organizations, data integrity needs to be verified publicly. The existing method, allows the user to download the corresponding part of shared data and re-sign it during user revocation, is inefficient due to the large size of shared data in the cloud. In this approach, we propose a public auditing system with extended features for the integrity of shared data with efficient user revocation. By utilizing the concept of proxy re-signatures, we allow the cloud to resign blocks on behalf of current users during user revocation, so that existing users do not need to download and re-sign blocks .The public verifier is always able to audit the integrity of shared data correctly without retrieving the entire data from the cloud, even if some part of that data has been already re-signed by the cloud. -Amol Bhosale ; C. G. Harge; S. A. Wani
Convection is usually the dominant form of heat transfer in liquids and gases. Although sometimes discussed as a third method of heat transfer, convection is usually used to describe the combined effects of heat conduction within the fluid (diffusion) and heat transference by bulk fluid flow streaming. Convective heat transfer is the transfer of heat from one place to another by the movement of fluids, a process that is essentially the transfer of heat via mass transfer. Bulk motion of fluid enhances heat transfer in many physical situations, such as between a solid surface and the fluid. This paper refers to the convective heat transfer from a V-Fin Array whose surface is made black and the fins are sticked to it to form horizontal fin array and in form of V-Fins to form V-Fin array. It has consolidated itself as a very powerful platform that has changed forever the way we do business and communicate. It has become universal source of information for millions of people at home, school and workplace. Internet is changing over time and mainly because of the social web and mobile technology. Both of the innovations have increasable changed the way people use the internet. Since creation of face book in 2004 for instance, it has grown to a network of over two thousand million subscribers. While the mobile technology made it possible for more people to reach internet thus increasing the number of internet users everywhere. Internet continues to be most accessible platform of all the mass media; with a low investment it is easy for one to get a page in the web. In recent days information is billing up daily in the web from all sectors of life, our focus now shifts to the reliability of the information in the web. I relate this to the idea of World Wide Web inventor Tim Berners –Lee that the web can be made more intelligent and perhaps even intuitive about how to serve a user's needs better. I.e. he observes that even if search engines indexes much of the Web's content, they have little ability to select the pages that a user really wants or needs. A lot of more issues are arising about security, transfer, integrity, medium of flow, the path it has to follow and accuracy of data sources. I will analyze the reliability of web information in these big data phenomena. Read More...

Automatic Generation Control in Hydro Thermal System using Fuzzy Logic Controller
-Rashmikakumari Girishbhai Chaudhari ; Prof Bhavarth N Vaidya
In interconnected power system, small load perturbation in any of the areas causes the fluctuation of the frequency of each and every area and also there is fluctuation of power in tie line. So the main goals of Load Frequency control (LFC) are, to maintain the frequency and the desired power output (megawatt) in the interconnected power system and to control the change in tie line power between control areas. This is achieved by the use of conventional controllers but the conventional controllers have demerits like; they are very slow in operation. Soft computing techniques have lots of advantages over conventional integral, proportional-integral and proportional-integral-derivative controller. Read More...

RF Controlled Robotic Vehicle with Metal Detection project
-Gurunath Gupta ; Premsagar Chauhan; Ankita Dev; Stuti Goenka
Our project proposes a Metal detection robotic vehicle operated using RF remote control wirelessly. The project demonstrates real life robotic vehicles used to detect land mines or other metal based objects on its path. The vehicle is fitted with a metal detection system that senses metals and then alarms the user about it through a buzzing sound of land mine possibility. The system works in conjunction with an 8051 series microcontroller to achieve this operation. The push buttons are used to send commands to move the vehicle forward, backward, left and right. Two motors at receiving end operate the vehicle as per the commands received. As soon as a command is sent it gets transmitted through rf transmitter. At receiving end an rf receiver reads the command and passes it to an 8051 microcontroller for processing. The microcontroller then operates the motors to move the vehicle through a motor driver IC. The metal detection system attached to the system detects any metal underneath it. On detection it automatically sends on a small buzzing alarm to notify user about it. Thus the metal detection system coupled with a robotic vehicle allows for operating the robotic vehicle on a long radius remotely through RF technology. Read More...

Energy Efficiency Improvement in Industrial Pumping Systems
-Mitul Jani ; M G Dave; Shridhar Manure
The industrial sector accounts for a major chunk of power consumption in India, it is estimated to be approximately 36.5% of the total power produced. Process industries can be of different domains, but majority of them have a basic requirement of water pumping system. This pumping system accounts for 25-30% of power consumption in industries with basic requirement to fulfill by using pumped water for various applications like process requirements, cooling systems, heat exchange, steam production etc. Due to high power consumption in these motor driven pumps operating at poor efficiency due to wrong pump selection and deviation of operating point from optimum efficiency point led to major losses and there is a good scope of energy savings in such systems. A textile industry consumes huge amount of energy and water in processes like washing, bleaching, dyeing, scouring, finishing etc. The performance study of pumping system in one such textile unit is presented in this paper. Optimization of Water Consumption to meet New MoEFCC guidelines for Thermal Power Plants
-Ritesh Dahikar
The recent notification issued by Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, on 8th December 2015, with reference of S.O.3305 (E), Section 6 & 25 of Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, specified the new limits on maximum water intake consumption & achieving zero wastewater discharge for existing as well as newly installed Thermal Power Plants (TPP) in India. Additionally the notification has also specified SO2 emission limit from stack for both existing and newly installed TPP’s, which mandates the additional technology such as flue gas desulphurization (FGD) to meet this requirement, which requires additional make up water. The maximum new water consumption limit is set at 2.5 m3/ MWh for newly installed Thermal power plant. Presently coal based TPP’s, typically consumes water in the range of 3.0to4.0 m3/MWh without considering FGD. This paper discusses the various possible optimization ways to meet this new water consumption limit, including additional water requirement for SO2 reduction and to ensure zero wastewater discharge from plant. Analysis of Flywheel Energy Storage System: A Review
-Rajan Aakash Bansilal ; Prof. Parth H Patel
This review concentrates on finding the impacts of flywheel geometry on its energy storing/conveyance capability per unit mass, defined much specifically as specific energy. Different geometries of flywheels and their proposed respective energy storing capacity are discussed about in this article. Different profiles considered are solid, rimmed, webbed, spoke flywheel. The Specific Energy Performance is influenced by the geometry of flywheel and the working load impacts on the shafts are lessened because of decreased masses at high speeds. Designing flywheel productively increases the moment of inertia for less material and gives high dependability and long life. To ascertain Von-Misses stress and deformation of the flywheel, analysis is done on various loading conditions and set ups. Read More...

Portable DC Regulated Power Supply from Footsteps
-Karthick. S ; Venkatesh Panneerselvam; Praveen Kumar. R; Mohammed Ashique. A
Due to the increasing modern day development conventional method of electricity generation is becoming insufficient and there is greater need for other mode of generating electrical energy. To compensate this crises Non- conventional energy source system is considered in our work. Walking is a day to day activity of a normal person where he/she loses energy to the surface while walking, in the form of impact, vibration, and sound. This loss of energy is due to the transfer of his weight onto the surface through foot falls on the ground during every step. This energy can be tapped and converted into usable electrical energy. The main aim of this project is to produce 5V, 9V and 12V power supply by a portable DC regulated power supply system. This is achieved through engineering a Piezo electric transducers attached with the shoe which converts pressure captured from each foot step to an electrical charge. This energy is stored and used as a power source with rechargeable battery which is amplified and regulated later to produce a constant supply. Read More...

Cancer is a wide spreading disease in these days. The mortality rate increases due to cancer. There are many types of cancers known. Among them lung cancer is one of the most prevalent disease. Lung tumour is characterized by uncontrolled cell development in tissues of the lung. If this is left undiscovered, the tumour develops rapidly and damages the entire lungs. Lungs is the primary organ for oxygenation of blood. For this process lungs need oxygen and it gives out carbon-dioxide, hence the process we called breathing. Lung cancer keeps on changing on various medical factors hence lung cancer can be divided into two types (1) small cell lung tumour and (2) non-small cell lung tumour. It is essential to detect lung cancer at earlier stage. The most easiest way to diagnose lung cancer is using Computed Tomography(CT) images. Recently many new technology have been developed in Image Processing. In this paper we propose the easier image processing techniques for the detection of cancerous lungs using MATLAB. The process involves conversion of input image into gray scale image, segmentation, filtering process. Here the severity of the lung cancer is also determined. Read More...

Thousands of automobile products need sheet metal components in tremendous quantity world over. High volume of production at lowest possible cost is the driving potential of sheet metal technology which is undergoing technological transformations due to flourishing of automobile industry globally. Projection Welding (PW) is widely utilized for joining purpose especially in automobile industry and fabrication of sheet metal due to its robustness, speed, flexibility and low cost operation. In any car, there are 3000-6000 projection welds which show the level importance of the projection welding. It is a complicated process, which involves interactions of thermal, mechanical, electrical and metallurgical phenomenon. Controlling the welding parameters plays an important role on the quality of the weld. There are various process parameters (weld current, weld time, electrode force) which affect the weld torsional strength and its heat affected zone (HAZ). So it is necessary to optimize the process parameters of projection welding process. The experimental study was conducted for plate thickness 1mm and SQ nut under different electrode force, welding current and weld time. The optimum welding parameters were investigated using the Taguchi method with L9 orthogonal array. In this paper, various optimization techniques are discussed and the uses of the Taguchi method to determine the optimum process parameters are reported. This is because the Taguchi method is a systematic application of design and analysis of experiments for the Purpose of designing and improving product quality at the design stage. Welding parameters settings were determined by using the Taguchi experimental design method. The level of importance of the welding parameters on the torsional strength is determined by using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Read More...
