Experimental Investigation of Natural Convection Heat Transfer in Inline & staggered Dimpled Plates
-Amol Bhosale Sambhaji ; C.G.Harge; S.A.Wani
Convection is usually the dominant form of heat transfer in liquids and gases. Although sometimes discussed as a third method of heat transfer, convection is usually used to describe the combined effects of heat conduction within the fluid (diffusion) and heat transference by bulk fluid flow streaming. Convective heat transfer is the transfer of heat from one place to another by the movement of fluids, a process that is essentially the transfer of heat via mass transfer. Bulk motion of fluid enhances heat transfer in many physical situations, such as between a solid surface and the fluid. This paper refers to the convective heat transfer from a V-Fin Array whose surface is made black and the fins are sticked to it to form horizontal fin array and in form of V-Fins to form V-Fin array. Grey Water Management by using Stabilization Ponds
-Kishori Sutar ; Dr. Sameer Shastri
Wastewater management in rural areas until recent past was the most neglected domain. However with awareness amongst the people and the policies of new government for Swachchha Bharat Abhiyan, the sanitation component in the rural areas is also gaining lot of attention. Appropriate technologies for onsite black water management like two pit latrines, human excreta based biogas plants etc. are available. For grey water management, ponds are most suitable. The stabilization tank manufactured from low cost material is very economical and is very popular in rural areas for creating farm ponds. However, they have not been used for constructing stabilization tanks for grey water management. The present study is an attempt to use low cost material to line the ponds and convert the flow of ponds into the form of modified stabilization tank which proves to be most effective. These may prove to be very economical as well as effective for grey water management in rural areas, which is a very essential component. The stabilization ponds further can be used for fish farming, which will give an additional income source to the villagers making the option socio-economically viable. Read More...

Identify and Rectify Algorithm for Distorted Fingerprint
-Nikheel Dilip Kasar ; Abhilasha Vyas
Fingering fingerprints is a major cause of misconduct. Even if this affects all fingerprint markers, it is harmful to negative markers such as viewer and copying. In this program, malicious users may intentionally blink their eyes to avoid identifying them. In this article, we suggest new algorithms to look up and correct the damage to the theme based on the same fingerprints. Detection of distortion, seen as a problem for classification into two classes, function vectors using registering cards of orientation and maturity Ridge, map of the fingerprints and managers are trained SVM to perform the task of this assortment. Correction of distortion (or curved equivalent of field distortion) is considered a regression problem in the input impaired fingerprint distortion and result field distortion. To solve this problem, offline steps create a database (referenced database) of multiple fingerprints and a corresponding field of distortion, then the closest endpoint on the net of the input finger is located in the reference database and the corresponding distortion field is used to change the input footprint to normal. Three successful outcomes in the wrong fingerprint database - FVC2004 DB1, Tsinghua's wrong finger database and database with SD27 NIST fingerprints. Read More...

Performance and Analysis of Asynchronous Motor with Space Vector and Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation Techniques
-Manoj Kumar Chaurasia ; Dr. Lata Gidwani
AC drives are commonly used in industries in many applications. Voltage and frequency can be varied with AC drives. DC voltage can be applied to the input of the inverter and it changes into AC voltage of essential voltage and frequency but there are certain limitations of total harmonic distortion and DC utilization. For improvement of voltage and current quality, pulse width modulation techniques are implemented. Sinusoidal pulse width modulation procedure is most mutual and very easy method for implementation but it has higher total harmonics distortion, lower DC utilization factor and incapable of over-modulation compared to other techniques. Space vector pulse width modulation technique has better output voltage and current quality. It has lower total harmonics distortion and higher DC utilization factor. In this paper, SPWM and SVPWM methods simulated and these two methods are implemented to an asynchronous machine connected with voltage source inverter and analyzed the performance. Voltage and current THD are shown. The simulation work is done in MATLAB / Simulink. Read More...

Detection of Good Quality Front Face from Inexpensive Low Resolution Surveillance Camera
-Bhagyshree Manoj Karmarkar ; Prof. Hirendra Hajare
The face is important part of a body to identify any person. Every public place having the surveillance camera to monitor on public activities. From that video sequence if at any Circumstances we want to find the suspected person because of low resolution of surveillance camera it gets difficult to detect the face of person what we exactly wanted so that we need a mechanism which can take a input from that video sequence and convert it into face logs and applying some resolution techniques we can get the good quality and high resolution front faces from it. To deal with this approach we required an automated system which is working with LR and low-quality faces. Super-resolution (SR) is one of such technique for obtaining high resolution (HR) image from one or more LR input images. Super resolution faces two problems one which is related with images that it requires the similar image and second problem relates with improvement factor whose limit is of two. Because of this technique the improvement factor gets improved by four for whole system. The experimental results show that the proposed system can produce a front faces which have clear resolution and good quality from the video sequences. Read More...

Keyword Processing According to Rank in LBSP(Location based Service Provider)
-Apeksha B. Nachone ; Karuna G. Bagde
When user searches for any place many LBSP like Bing, Google etc. provide result The results that are given by location based service providers not fully processed. It’s not necessary the LBSP provides proper information. In practice, LBSPs are not faithful and may return fake query results for various bad motives, e.g., in favour of POIs willing to pay. In our approach when the data contributor searches for any query, it will process by the LBSP. But before result showing to the user, it will process by the data collector. There are various results for the same query. So each query processed and special top result according to the location will provide to the users. This paper presents three novel schemes for users to detect fake spatial snapshot and moving top-k query results as an effort to foster the practical deployment and use of the proposed system. The efficacy and efficiency of our schemes are thoroughly analysed and evaluated. Read More...

Grid Tied Solar Micro-Converter with Optimizer Mode Operation for Weak-Grid Operation
-A Rameshbabu
This project proposes a dual mode flyback based hybrid converter that can support both a grid tied mode and islanded mode operation to extract maximum power from the solar PV source at all times. It is also designed to employ active power decoupling to draw constant input current with reduced ï¬lter size at the terminals of the PV panel in both AC and DC output power modes. The ability of the proposed converter to produce both DC and AC output allows flexibility of operation in environments where the grid may not be available for as high as 80% of sunlight hours while maintaining the advantages of micro-inverters. In advance the DC generated voltage is given to a CUK converter so that the proposed converter could be able to support both the AC grid and also the variable DC load both in positive and negative polarity. -Mohamed Hussein Eliwa Sayed Ahmed Kandil ; Abdelrahman A.; Fayed N.
Designing a structure that could face a threat from an external bombing to the structure needs finding the most effective way to meet the current standards requirements. When considering protection for a building, owners and architects must work together with structural engineers and blast consultants to find out the blast forces to bear that risk in mind and assess the desired protection levels. This paper is presenting the dynamic response of reinforced concrete moment resisting framed building subjected to blast loading. The building consists of ten stories with 5x5 bays having bay span of 6m and exposed to 30kg and 60kg with three different standoff distances of 3m, 5m and 7m respectively. A non-linear three-dimensional finite element model is used for analyzing the dynamic response of the structure. CSI SAP2000 finite element program is used for modeling and investigating the dynamic response of a concrete framed structure subjected to blast loading. The applied blast load as outlined in TM5-1300 Manual. The results obtained are in terms of time history function, displacements and influence forces considering the resistance of structure. Progressive collapse is also checked by providing plastic hinges in the structure as per ASCE/SEI 41-13 provisions as well as UFC 4-023-03 guidelines. The alternate approach followed shows that the structure is safe by removing middle periphery column. The results obtained shows that the plastic hinges formed in the middle column are higher compared with the internal columns. Further improvements adopted can be take place by applying special design for reinforcements as a apart from general design and it is recommended that guidelines on abnormal load cases and provisions on progressive collapse prevention should be included in the current Egyptian Code of Practice for special and important buildings. Review Data Stream Clustering using Micro Clusters
-Jyoti Shantaram Pawar ; N M Shahane
Data streams are massive, dynamic and unbounded. Due to these issues data stream clustering is challenging problem. Data stream are observed in network monitoring, critical scientific application, weather monitoring and astronomical applications, electronic business, stock trading etc. Data stream clustering puts additional constraints on clustering algorithms. Data streams must be processed in single pass with limited memory as well as with less processing time, but the streams can be highly dynamic. Most of the existing clustering algorithms are distance based and unable to handle the interwoven clusters and also it is impossible to save the data streams, because of infinite characteristic. Proposed work focuses on density based clustering algorithms using micro-clusters. The process is divided into two-phases, online and offline, micro clusters are created in online phase and final clusters are generated in offline phase. Read More...

Experimental Study on Strength of Concrete by using PS Sand as a Fine Aggregate
-Srivathsa H U
Concrete is considered to be the most widely used and versatile material of construction all over the world. In recent years, concrete technology has made significant advances which have resulted in economical improvements in strength of concretes. This economic development depends upon the intelligent use of locally available materials. One of the important ingredients of conventional concrete is natural sand or river sand. Scarcity of good quality Natural River sand due to depletion of resources and restriction due to environmental consideration has made concrete manufactures to look for suitable alternative fine aggregate. One such alternative is “Manufactured sandâ€. Because of crushing quarries and converting them as fine aggregates, demand for coarse aggregates also increases. To meet this demand, another alternative to river sand is PS Sand (Processed Slag Sand) which can be used as fine aggregates in manufacturing concrete. An attempt has been made in this study to determine the compressive strength of M20 grade concrete using PS sand as fine aggregate. Read More...

A Study on Utilization of Crusher Dust in Place of Sand as a Geotechnical Construction Material
-B. Uma Naga Mounica ; P. Harish
Usually, conventional materials like natural soils, broken rock pieces, sand are required for the construction of many Civil Engineering structures like rods, embankments, reclamation of grounds etc.,. Procurement of such materials in huge quantities have been becoming very difficult and presence of plastic fines in the soils causes excess deformations which proves to be costly for the maintenance of structures keeping this in mind for utilization of waste products in bulk quantities has been searched from which crusher dust was selected as an alternate material in place of sand. To evaluate the performance of crusher dust and sand mixes, tests like compaction, strength, seepage etc, were performed to study engineering parameters like density, CBR and angle of shearing resistance etc. From the test results it is identified that crusher dust –sand mixes attained high densities (γd>1.8g/cc), high CBR values (>10%), shear parameters (ϕ >360) and maintained pervious characteristics (k > cm/sec) in addition to non-plastic and incompressibility characteristics. From the test results it is concluded that 30-40% addition of sand to crusher dust yields satisfactory results and can be used as sub-grade and fill materials in various geotechnical construction activities. Welding is a basic manufacturing process for making components or assemblies in industries. Recent welding economics research has focused on developing the reliable machinery database to ensure optimum design. There are many welding parameters whose selection contributes to the welded product as they all affect the strength and quality to a larger extent. Some of them are material, welding rod, diameter of electrode, weld design Root face, and Root gap. In this research, welding input process parameters have been optimize for greater weld strength in Electric arc welding. Metal like mild steel (1018), carbon steel (1020) and alloy steel (4130) are presented as a study material and welding rod and voltage of current are the other two parameter for the T-joint welding.. After this theses welds are tested for bending strength on universal testing machine. The Taguchi methodology is adopted to analyze the effect of each welding process parameter on the weld strength, and the optimal process parameters are obtained to achieve greater weld strength. The study includes selection of parameters, utilizing an orthogonal array, conducting experimental runs, data analysis, determining the optimum combination. Finally the experimental verification has been done. Experimental results are provided to illustrate the proposed approach. Finally we derived a mathematical model for breaking load for bending with the help of MATLAB software. After the whole work comparative analysis of results from different theories has been done in which we found that all results are approximately similar. Hence author concluded that the values of parameters can be selected for other vital experiment on the basis of mathematical model generated by this research. Read More...

-Satwik Deshmukh ; Vijay Panhalkar; Suraj Supekar; Shubham Jadham; Prof. Subhash Patel
Cipher text policy attribute-based cryptography (CP-ABE) is also a promising science technique for fine grained access management of outsourced information at intervals the cloud. However, some drawbacks of key management hinder the popularity of its application. One drawback in imperative need of resolution is that the key official document downside. We've got an inclination to point that front-end devices of shoppers likewise phones usually have restricted privacy protection, thus if personal keys square measure entirely management by them, shoppers risk key exposure that is hardly detected but inherently existed in previous analysis. Moreover, monumental client coding overhead limits the wise use of ABE. Throughout this work, we've got an inclination to propose a cooperative key management protocol in CP-ABE (CKM-CP-ABE). Our construction realizes distributed generation, issue and storage of private keys whereas not adding any extra infrastructure. A fine-grained and immediate attribute revocation is provided for key update. The projected cooperative mechanism effectively solves not entirely key official document downside but jointly key exposure. Meanwhile, it helps markedly cut back client coding overhead. A comparison with completely different representative CP-ABE themes demonstrates that our theme has somewhat higher performance in terms of cloud-based outsourced information sharing on mobile devices. Finally, we provide proof of security for the projected protocol. Read More...

Email overload is a recent problem that there is increasingly difficulty people have faced to process the large number of emails received daily. Currently this problem becomes more and more serious and it has already affected the normal usage of email as a knowledge management tool. It has been recognized that categorizing emails into meaningful groups can greatly save cognitive load to process emails and thus this is an effective way to manage email overload problem. However, most current approaches still require significant human input when categorizing emails. In this paper we develop an automatic email clustering system, underpinned by a new nonparametric text clustering algorithm. This system does not require any predefined input parameters and can automatically generate meaningful email clusters. Experiments show our new algorithm outperforms existing text clustering algorithms with higher efficiency in terms of computational time and clustering quality measured by different gauges. -Neha S Dudhe ; Dhammaratna B. Waghmare; Soniya K. Malode
Along with alternative electrical elements, the conductor suffers from the sudden failures thanks to varied faults. Protective of transmission lines is one in every of the vital tasks to safeguard wattage systems. For safe operation of EHVAC conductor systems, the protection system ought to ready to detected, classified, set accurately and cleared is quick as doable to take care of stability within the network. The protecting systems square measure needed to stop the propagation of those faults. The incidence of any conductor faults offers rise to transient condition. Optimal operation of an influence system depends on however a fault location is accurately and quickly set, in order that restoration and maintenance of power is accomplished. Fault detection, fault classification, must be performed employing a quick responsive formula at completely different levels of an influence system. result of things like fault electric resistance, fault origination angle (FIA), and fault distance, that cause disturbances in cable are often countered by ripple multi resolution analysis (MRA). The tactic of fault discrimination projected during this work is on the idea of the three-phase current and voltage waveforms measured throughout the incidence of fault within the power transmission-line. Further, a superior technique, viz. ripple Singular Entropy (WSE) is applied each at conductor and electrical device level that minimizes the noise within the fault transients and is unaffected by the transient magnitude. The projected formula is verified victimization MATLAB/Simulink package and also the obtained results prove that each MRA and WSE based mostly fault detection and classification ways square measure much possible and reliable. A New Fast Detection Module for Short-Circuit Current Detection in PV Grid System
-Krushnkant B Kasar ; Prof. Pawan C. Tapre
In electric power systems, integration of more Distributed Generators (DGs) in the network increase the short circuit level due to the short circuit current contribution of the DGs during faults. As compared to the synchronous and induction machine based generators, the inverter based generators, such as Photovoltaic (PV) solar systems, contributes lower fault current to the network due to the characteristics of PV panels and inverter operation. Although, each PV solar farm may contribute short currents as above, the total amount of fault current contribution may become unacceptably large for a feeder which has several PV systems connected. It is apprehended that short circuit current contributions from multiple solar systems in the distribution feeders may add up to levels that could be damaging to the circuit breakers. As a first step, adequate modeling of PV solar plants for predicting their short circuit contributions during network faults is essential. So far, the above fast faults detection techniques have been used for protection of network and DGs; and for unsymmetrical fault detection in fault current limiters (FCL). However these techniques have not been used to prevent any short circuit current contribution in excess of the rated or utility-acceptable current output of PV solar inverters. In this paper, a new fast detection module for short-circuit current detection has been discussed based on the rate of rise of current together with the current magnitude in a PV solar system based DG. There can be two control operations, as per the applicable grid code in that region, one of which is the disconnection of the PV inverter before the current exceeds the rated output current of the inverter. The second one discusses about transforming the PV inverter into a dynamic reactive power compensator STATCOM and provides grid support functions. A new concept of utilizing PV solar farms as STATCOM (PV-STATCOM) both during nighttime and daytime for different grid support functions was introduced in this paper. Read More...

It has been commonly observed that an old technology is improved when a new one takes over it and behind this intense process of improvement often lies an intentional research activity. Also thus begins a competition between the two technologies whose performances are improved via R&D. We frequently look at that a vintage era is improved whilst a new one seems; behind this procedure of development regularly lies an intentional research hobby. There for this reason starts off evolved the opposition among the 2 technology whose performances are stepped forward via R&D. We focus our interest on this competition method and deliver a proper model, primarily based on the optimization of R&D expenditure of each technologies, which could describe the dynamics of the not on time overtaking of the new technology over the older one. This article investigates whether or not companies react to a thorough technological substitution hazard through a planned acceleration of innovation in their current technology - the 'Sailing Ship Effect'. There were repeated claims that the effect has been good sized as a source of innovation. It is usually recommended that the characteristics of ancient, technological substitution techniques prompt misinterpretation based totally on superficial information. The cause of this take a look at is to make a contribution to a higher know-how of the strategic and organizational configuration that groups can use to generate value with product-market systems and their commercial enterprise fashions which have been dominant inside the past however compelled lower back into new positions by innovation. Also, the present work is to research the so known as sailing-ship effect. What is supposed via this word is that manner wherein the appearance of a new era engenders a response geared toward enhancing the incumbent generation. This phenomenon has been discovered pretty frequently, and every now and then worries key technologies. Read More...

Experimental Investigations of Triangular Duct with Artificial Roughness
-Jayappa Ashish Ajitkumar ; Prof. S. R. Patil; Prof. Sanjay Pandurang Mane
Surface roughness is one of the first active techniques to be considered for the augmentation of forced convection heat transfer. It is necessary that the flow near the heat transfer surface should be turbulent so as to attain higher coefficient of heat transfer. However, energy for creating such turbulence has to come from the fan or blower and the excessive turbulence leads to excessive power requirement to make the air flow through the duct. In this experiment the air was blown by blower through a 45 and 60 angle of rib artificially manufactured on heated horizontal surface present in duct. This created more turbulence for improving heat transfer compared to plane surface. Read More...

Testing Methods of Cavitation Erosion and the Impact of Component Material Selection on Pump Reliability
-Paras Vatsh Krishna Sahu
This paper presents in detail several cavitation erosion testing methods commonly used in the laboratory. The vibratory cavitation apparatus (G32) is described with its two variants, the direct method using a specimen attached to the vibrating tip of the ultrasonic horn and the alternative method using a fixed specimen facing the horn tip. In the cavitating jet apparatus (G134 and its variants), a jet is discharged at high pressure and velocity in a cell whose pressure may be controlled to adjust the cavitation number. This results in a shear type cavitation whose aggressiveness may be enhanced by a proper design of the nozzle shape and piping assembly. A high-speed cavitation tunnel equipped with a radial divergent test section is also presented. This particular test section generates an unsteady cavity attached to the nozzle exit with cavitation erosion damage concentrated in the cavity closure region. Usual testing procedures together with typical erosion patterns and mass loss results obtained in such facilities are also presented. Read More...
