A Review on Energy and Area Efficient Three-Input XOR/XNORs with SCD Methodology
-S.Sivaiah ; I.Sharath Chandra
In this paper, a Systematic Cell Design Methodology (SCDM) based on transmission gate in the category of hybrid-CMOS Logic style is proposed. (SCDM), which is an extension of Cell Design methodology (CDM), plays the essential role in designing efficient circuits. In this methodology, designer utilize various basic cells, including three independent inputs and two complementary outputs. XOR/XNOR circuits are proposed with high driving capability, full-balanced full-swing outputs and low number transistors of basic structure, high performance, operating at low voltages and excellent signal integrity. As an especial feature, the critical path of the presented designs consists of only two transistors, which causes low propagation delay. All simulations have been performed with Tanner EDA tool, in optimum state of the circuits from view point to achieve the minimum power and delay. They also outperform their counterparts exhibiting 17%–53% reduction in power. The simulation results demonstrate average power consumption of each component and the overall power consumption of the circuit at a defined supply voltage. Read More...

Effect of Forming Parameters on Roll Forming Processes - A Review
-Suresh D. Dhere ; Dr. Kadam M. S.
Cold roll forming is a bending process where the bending occurs gradually in several forming steps from an undeformed strip to a finished profile. The process is very interesting for the sheet metal industry due to the high speed in which the profile can be produced. High strength steel has, in recent years, become more common in cold roll forming. These materials have advantages but also disadvantages that affect the design of the process. A variety of cross-section profiles can be produced, but each profile requires a set of roller. Design of the roller starts with a product pattern, which is the sequence of profile cross-sections, one profile for each stand of roller. The roller contours are then derived from the flower pattern profile. Read More...

PLC & SCADA Based Automated Car Parking Management System
-Mrs. Priyanka J C ; Mr. Prakash H R
Nowadays, haphazard parking problems are common in the city areas, especially in the metropolitan cities. This is a common scenario in the malls, shopping markets and even roadside parking allotments. It is extremely tough to manually supervise the parking of each and every car, keep a record of number of cars and money collected over a vast area. In this project when the car enters inside the parking area, there is a paying booth that is totally automated and there is also a barricade which opens if and only if the driver swipes his card and automatically closes again as the car enters inside. There are Green LED poles in front of each slot that glows when the slot is empty and automatically goes off when the car occupies the slot. Once all the slots are occupied, a Red LED pole at the entrance glows indicating parking full. This easily guides the driver with the availability and non-availability of parking. Delta PLC and SCADA techniques are incorporated in this system. Automatically parking bill is generated according to the time of parking for each vehicle. This system minimizes the human intervention and possibility of fake bill. In case of improper parking the voice message will alert the driver to re-park his vehicle properly into the slot. Hadoop based Image Retrieval using CDLEP and Gabor Features
-P Rohini ; L Koteswara Rao
The Directional Extrema Patterns are used to encode the relationship between the centre pixel and its neighbors by computing the edge information in four directions. The proposed work focuses on developing a feature vector for CBIR system with the combination of color DLEP and Gabor features to make the final feature vector. Local Binary Pattern (LBP) operator has become very useful in image retrieval, where a centre pixel is compared with surrounding pixels to obtain a feature vector. However, the directions are not obtained in this method. In this paper, we propose a new method to improve the performance of the retrieval system with the help of Hadoop framework. The main objective is distribution of image data over a large number of nodes over Hadoop using Map Reduce Technique. Hadoop defines a framework which allows processing on distributed large sets across clusters of computer. Read More...

-Kavita Pandey ; PRITESH PATIL; SURAJ PAWAR
All over the world, the cities and the capitals suffer from a common problem –traffic congestion. It takes lot of time and money. The currently used tools for checking traffic are expensive and even have limitations. Since social networking sites, such as twitter, facebook, etc. have spread in recent years becoming a new kind of real time information channels people share their information, emotions and opinions in terms of short messages. Twitter is one of the most popular social networking sites. The twitter data, i.e. tweets have a benefit over the other social networking sites that it is generally associated with some meta-data and have the 140 character constraint, thus allowing the news oriented data. This paper proposes a system that makes use of tweets to check out for traffic in real time. The system fetches tweet according to several search criteria, process them by using text mining techniques and finally classifies them using the SVM algorithm. The aim is to assign suitable class label to every tweet as related with an activity of traffic events or not. We use support vector machine as a classified model. Finally we can notify the user of presence of traffic by displaying the highlighted map and provide an alternate way. Read More...

Analysis on Question Retrieval in Community Question Answering via NON-Negative Matrix Factorization
-Deshmukh Ashvini B. ; Shelke Pooja P.; Kokare Sayali A.; Taware Saksha S.
CQA helpful in answering real world question. CQA provide answer to human. Question retrieval in CQA can automatically ï¬nd the most relevant and recent questions that have been solved by other users. We propose an alternative way to address the word ambiguity and word mismatch problems by taking advantage of potentially rich semantic information drawn from other languages. The translated words from other languages via non-negative matrix factorization. Contextual information is exploited during the translation from one language to another language by using Google Translate. Thus, word ambiguity can be solved based on the contextual information when questions are translated. Multiple words that have similar meanings in one language may be translated into a unique word or a few words in a foreign language. It is a word-based translation language model for retrieval with query likelihood model for answer. We use a translated representation by alternative enriching the original question with the words from other language in CQA. We translate the English question into other four language using Google translate which take into account contextual information during translation. If we translate the question word by word, it discard the contextual information. We would expect that such a translation would not be able to solve word ambiguity problem. Read More...

Women Protection using Smart Weapon System Based on IoT
-Sushmitha N R ; Shashira R; Pooja S; Gopinath R; Dr.Prabha R
This project aims at protecting and safeguarding women using smart technology based on IOT. Nowadays Women harassment is the most common and frequently happening crime in India. As we can see in developed countries like USA, UK etc, the harassment is less due to high security and strict laws put forth by their government, when compared to developing countries like India. So it proves that illiteracy is not the main cause for such assault, it is because of the unawareness within the people and about the self protecting weapons. The percentage of harassment caused by the known people or the closed ones like relatives, friends or neighbours rather than unkown people. In order to avoid such harassment on women, self protecting weapons such as pepper spray, handgun etc are currently available. But these weapons have disadvantages, to overcome these disadvantages this project implements smart weapon system using smart technology. Read More...

A Review on Study of Artificial Sand in Concrete
-Vaishali Gupta ; Ashish Bhattcharya
Sand is a type of soil, which is naturally available at banks of river, this type of sand is called natural sand. Sand is used in construction of civil Engineering elements like house, dam, bridge etc. Natural or River sand are weathered particles of rocks and are of various grades or sizes depending upon the amount of wearing. At present time it is not very easy to get sand of good quality and also it has to be transported from a long distance, hence cost of construction is increased. Natural river sand takes many years to form but demand of sand in construction works are very high, so it is a need of the present time to find some alternate to natural sand. Artificial sand is constructed in such a manner to keep minimum voids in sand hence it resulted into reduction of quantity of cement in production of concrete, hence artificial sand is economical also. This paper presented a review on use of artificial sand in concrete. Read More...

Ontology Modification Matrix Using Three Dimensions To Calculate Cost & Complexity
-Dnyandev Najan ; Pravin Darwade; Aakash Khade
Ontology is nothing but the simple way of sharing knowledge via a machine-readable format in order to facilitate the reuse of the knowledge. In order to fulfil the new requirement of knowledge sharing in Ontology is expected to be modified in order to be accommodated with addition, deletion or updating knowledge/data. Generally, rather than describing a given ontology as being functional or not we assume the work related with identify and quantitatively measuring the characteristics that reflect the knowledge expression elements. To calculating efforts and complexity within hierarchy of any class and object it can assist in estimating ontology modification efforts and tracking the ontology development process. In Ontologies, there have basic fundamental elements that must be used in order to model simple structure of ontology. These are nothing but classes and relationships of object. A class intimates a set of individuals that able to share the same characteristics. Relationships authenticate describing concepts such as properties relationships. Ontology is expected to be modified in order to be accommodated with addition, deletion, or updating knowledge/data in order to complete new requirements. Read More...

AN INVESTIGATION ON LIGHT WEIGHT CONCRETE TO CONSTRUCT PREFABRICATED COMPOSITE PANEL
-PRIYANKA DOMINIC K ; NEENU JOY
Steel-Concrete Composite construction is widely accepted technique in the construction industry. Sandwich Composite panel is heterogeneous in nature. The reduction in weight of concrete helps easy removal, transport and erection of precast products. So necessity of light weight precast panels arises there. Here we have discussed about three different varieties of panels, which can be used further for the construction purpose. Here we prepare sandwich composite panel consist of three layers of two different materials (concrete and steel). Panels are created with corrugated steel sheet or decking sheet sandwiched between foamed concrete, fiber reinforced foamed concrete and polystyrene concrete. Behaviors of sandwich panels were studied in detail. Advantages and disadvantages of light weight panel construction are examined here. Vertical Axis Wind Turbine
-Gaurav Singh ; Dinesh Kumar Gupta; Amit Pandey
In recent times, there has been an increased interest in wind energy due to concerns about the pollution caused by burning fossil fuels and their rising prices. Most wind turbines in use today are conventional wind mills with three airfoil shaped blades arranged around a horizontal axis. The second type of turbine which is transverse to the axis of rotation or whose blades are positioned vertically. These turbines will always rotate in the same direction regardless of the fluid flow. It does not depend on the direction of the fluid flow; these turbines have found applications in tidal and surface current flows. A vertical axis helical blade wind turbine is that where in the blades of the rotor section of the wind turbine comprise sections wherein the blades have a non-linear configuration in the vertical axis. In a preferred manifestation, the blades of the rotor section have a linear trailing edge with a non-linear, and preferably helical, surface configuration. This particular design allows the blades to provide both a rotational force and a negligible lift component. Further, the blades define an open area in the center of the rotor section through which air flow can pass in order to create a vertical vortex of air. As such, a more efficient vertical axis wind turbine can be made. Read More...

Packet Forwarding in Urban Sensing Network using Delay-Aware Privacy-Preserving Scheme
-Sushma R ; S. Venkatesan
The essential design issues in urban sensing networks are security, communication delay and packet delivery ratio. In this research work, a delay-aware privacy-preserving (DAPP) transmission scheme is proposed. In DAPP, the collected data are first split into pieces, and then each piece is sent through randomly selected delivery nodes, later each piece is relayed to an application data server. This scheme involves secret sharing scheme and dynamic pseudonym. In Shamir’s secret sharing scheme, a secret is divided into parts, giving each participant its own unique part. This secret sharing scheme ensures confidentiality of collected data. Dynamic pseudonyms are used to preserve the nodes privacy which helps in hiding the identity of participating users. Through DAPP we can achieve design tradeoff among security, communication delay and delivery ratio. Read More...

-Vishal Ramdas Hulawale ; Rushikesh Killedar; Shubham Gotal; Jayesh Chaudhari; Mahesh Shelar
Now a day's use of e-commerce is increased. Peoples buy products and post their opinions, suggestions about topic or product. Also before buying a product they may need to go through those reviews before making any decision. We are proposing a system that will help them to finalize their choice and take a decision whether or not to purchase the product. If the number of reviews is more then, going through all reviews will become time-consuming for users. They will not able to interpret all product reviews and might get confused. Our system is based on sentiment analysis than can be used to interpret reviews and summarize reviews in the user suitable format. It focuses on specific words or attributes that the customer will be interested in product. Product reviews will be classified based on emotions extracted from reviews. We will be using machine learning based approach for sentiment analysis of product reviews. To process product reviews we are using the use of machine learning algorithm called Support Vector Machine. This system significantly reduces the time needed for the customer for going through an intensive process of reading multiple reviews. Read More...
