Enhanced Profit Maximization Service Based Scheme for Multi- Cloud Platform
-Anita D. Khadka ; Shreya S. Inamdar; Payal S. Vaidya; Prof. H. P. Mal.
An effective and efficient way to provide computing resources and services to clients on demand, cloud computing has become more and more popular. From cloud service providers' perspective, profit is the most important consideration along with user-friendly quality services, and it is mainly determined by the configuration of a cloud service platform under given market demand. However, a single long-term renting scheme is usually adopted to configure a cloud platform, which cannot guarantee the service quality but leads to serious resource waste. In this project, a double resource renting scheme is designed firstly in which short-term renting and long-term renting are combined aiming at the existing issues. This double renting scheme can effectively guarantee the quality of service of all requests and reduce the resource waste greatly. The results show that our scheme can not only guarantee the service quality of all requests, but also obtain more profit than the latter. To enhance the quality services to the client, a tool is to be developed that will track the data usage and storage spaces of all the users and provide flexibility in the renting to the client. WBC Segmentation using Watershed and Snakes Algorithms for Diagnosis of Malaria
-Chintan Zaveri ; Yash Shingadiya
Malaria is a deadly disease caused by parasitic protozoans belonging to Plasmodium type, which is transmitted by an infected female Anopheles Mosquito. Due to sinuous nature of blood cells, it becomes arduous to detect malaria for Haematologists because of minuscule difference in size and geometry of white blood cells and red blood cells. It takes longer to diagnose and the method is susceptible to errors, so to solve these intricate diagnosis, concept of segmentation through active contours and watershed algorithm is proposed in this paper. This paper presents a new concept of detecting malaria on basis of active contours and segmentation of white blood cells from red blood cells. Firstly, on the basis of visage we differentiate WBCs and RBCs using active contours and watershed algorithm. Now, to distinguish between large sized white blood cells and red blood cells, snakes algorithm is used to determine the boundary of cells. This makes the proposed algorithm better in accuracy and time consumption as compared to classification performed by Haematologists. Read More...

Message Embedded Barcode with Picturesque Representation
-S. Jencillin ; Mr. Y. R. Packia Dhas
Two dimensional barcodes are wide used as an interface to attach potential customers and promotional material contents. However, the looks of a traditional 2nd barcode pattern is usually too obtrusive for group action into an esthetically designed promotional material. Besides, no human decipherable info is provided before the barcode is with success decoded. This paper proposes a brand new picture-embedding 2D barcode, known as PiCode, which mitigates these two limitations by mobilization a scannable 2D barcode with a picturesque look. PiCode is intended with careful concerns on each the sensory activity quality of the embedded image and therefore the decipherment lustiness of the encoded message. Comparisons with existing beautified 2nd barcodes show that PiCode achieves one among the simplest sensory activity quality for the embedded image, and maintains a more robust trade-off between image quality and decipherment lustiness in varied application conditions. Study on Use of Polymeric Waste Materials in Concrete for Road Pavements
-Rohit Kushwah
Concrete is strong in compression but weak in tension and brittle also. Cracks also start forming as soon as the concrete is placed. These 3 drawbacks don’t permit the use normal concrete in pavements as they lead to lack of ductility along with fracture and failure. These weaknesses in concrete can be mitigated by using fibers as reinforcement in the concrete mix. Waste materials in the form of polyethylene and tires cause environmental pollution which leads to various health problems. Polyethylene and waste tires can be recycled and used effectively in the concrete as reinforcement in the fiber form. Polyethylene is a synthetic hydrocarbon polymer which can improve the ductility, strength, shrinkage characteristics etc. This paper deals with the effects of addition of polyethylene fiber on the properties of concrete. Polyethylene and tire fibers were cut into the size of 30mm x 6mm and they were used 1.5% each by volume. Grade of concrete used were M30, M35 and M40. IRC 44:2008 was followed for the design of concrete mix. In this study, the results of the Strength properties of Polyethylene fiber reinforced concrete have been presented. 4 point bending test and double shear test were performed in the laboratory for flexure and shear strength determinations. There was seen an increase of 18% in the 28 day compressive strength along with an increase of 39% in flexure and 32% in shear strength. 22% decrease in 4 point bending test and 36% decrease in double shear test in deflection was found out from the experiments. Theoretical analysis of deflection was carried out by the help of energy methods. Practical values were verified with the theoretical values within the permissible limits. Finally it can be concluded that polyethylene and tire can be used effectively in reinforced cement concrete. Read More...

Sustaining Privacy and Correct Identification of Packet Loss in Ad Hoc Networks
-Pratik Narendra Gondane ; Amol Raosaheb Dongare; Yogesh Ganpat Walunj; Prof. M. R. Shimpi
In wireless network there is high possibility of packet loss. Packet loss can happen in view of association of both link errors and malevolent node or by the effect of single one of it. This malevolent node may be the insider attack in the network responsible for packet loss. Existing techniques to identify the source of packet loss uses cryptographic methods loss but these are applicable only when the packet are highly selective. In this the link errors may not be altogether littler than the packet dropping rate of the insider attack. To ensure precise computation of these correlations, we develop a Homomorphic Linear Authenticator (HLA) based public auditing architecture that assists the detector to verify the correctness of the packet loss information described by the nodes. HLA act like an evaluator to identify the packet losing in the system. The main advantage of this scheme will securely transmit the data in wireless Ad-Hoc network. We also use the ACF (auto-correlation function) to calculate the position of lost packets. This framework with new HLA development is conspiracy evidence and acquires low correspondence cost. Problem Occur during Injection Moulding Parts
-Rushikesh D. Dhomne ; Abhijeet A. Raut; Kalyan Labade
Injection Moulding is considered to be one of the manufacturing processes for mass production of plastic products from both thermoplastic and thermosetting plastic materials. Material is feed into a heated barrel, mixed, and forced into a mould cavity by a reciprocating screw or a ram injector, where it cools and hardens to the configuration of the mould cavity The mould is used to constructed either steel or aluminium, and precision-machined to form the features of the desired part. Injection moulding is widely used for manufacturing a variety of parts, from the smallest component to entire body panels of cars. If tool design properly it effects the quality of the compound .It can lead to shrink marks, pore finish, short shots, wrapping, and bubbles formation in parts .Such problem arises when injection mould is not design properly. This research used the experimental design of Taguchi method to determine the injection moulding conditions, and the injection processes were simulated using the commercial software C-MOLDTM. Both moulding process conditions and factors were discussed regarding the degree of warpage of a thin shell part. The results showed that the packing pressure had the greatest influence on the warpage, followed by mould temperature, melt temperature, and packing time. Plastic injection moulding comprises plastication, injection, packing, cooling, and ejection and process/part quality control applications. These steps are followed for the parts, which are designed by CAD & to be produced by plastic injection method. This paper deals with the literature review on study of application of the taguchi method. The Taguchi robust parameter design has been widely used over the past decade to solve many single response process parameter designs. Taguchi optimization method was used by exploiting mould analyses based on two level factorial designs. Read More...

Effect of Silicon Carbide Particles on Mechanical and Metallurgical Properties of Friction Stir Welded Joints of Aluminium 6082 Alloy
-Gunpreet Singh ; Inderjeet Singh; Farman Khan; Ravinder Singh
Aluminium 6082 as a light weight structural material with specific strength, good damping properties and machine ability, is one of the most attractive material in applications of transportation and mobile electronics for effectively reducing weight. In 1991 a solid state joining process named Friction Stir Welding was developed and this technique has attracted considerable interest from the aerospace and automotive industries, since it is able to produce defect free joints particularly for light metals i.e. magnesium and aluminium alloy. In this investigation an attempt has been made to study the effect of friction stir welding parameters on mechanical and metallurgical properties of Aluminium 6082 alloy. The selected material was welded using combination of single and double pass Friction stir welding at tool rotational speed of 1600 rpm, welding speed (40 mm/min, 60 mm/min and 80 mm/min) and doping Silicon Carbide particles. Doping of Silicon Carbide particles improves the tensile strength and microhardness as compared to base material as received. It has been observed that high microhardness at the rate of two times was achieved by doping SiC particles during Friction Stir Welding. The maximum value of microhardness at the rate of 137 Hv is achieved with double pass friction stir welding. High tensile strength of 300 N/m2 is obtained at the welding speed of 60 mm/min with double pass friction stir welding. The fine and equiaxed grains were obtained due to dynamic recrystallization at the Stir Zone of Friction Stir welded joints. Double pass Friction stir welding causes homogeneous dispersion of SiC particles. It was also observed that excessive heat generation and insufficient flow of plasticized material at higher values of tool rotational speed, leading to formation of defects which ultimately results in failure of weld joints between SZ and TMAZ. -Mayur R. Burde ; Abhijeet A. Raut; Kalyan Labade
Injection moulding process is a manufacturing process which produces plastic parts from both thermoplastic and thermosetting plastic materials. Material is feed into a heated barrel, mixed, and forced into a mould cavity by a reciprocating screw or a ram injector, where it cools and hardens to the configuration of the mould cavity The mould is usually constructed using either steel or aluminium, and precision-machined to form the features of the desired part. Injection moulding is widely used for manufacturing a variety of parts, from the smallest component to entire body panels of cars. The manufacturing trends of producing a plastics product in injection molding industries are recently changing from traditional method to using the FEA analysis. For injection molding industries, time and cost is very important aspects to consider because these two aspects will directly related to the profits at a company. The next problem is to consider, getting the best parameter for the injection molding process, plastics has been waste. Through the experiment, operator will use large amount of plastics material to get the possibly parameters to setup the machine. To produce the parts with better quality and quantity these moulding defects are the major obstacles in achieving the targets with quality & quantity. Various defects like Short shot, colour streaks and low productivity rates are associated with the material mixing and feeding as molded plastics are often a blend of two or more materials. Colors (master batch) and other additives are often mixed (blended) with the raw plastic material prior to the molding process in molding plants. So it is very important to work out auto blending and auto feeding of plastic granules to the machine hopper. This paper will cover the study of automatic blending unit & central conveying system for plastic granule feeding to machine & will help in optimizing the injection molding process. Read More...

Face Recognition via GroupWise Registration Method
-Nitin Appaso Magdum ; Prof. Kurhe Bhagwan S.
There are various efficient systems to recognize faces from images by some real time variations. Face recognition cycle starts with capturing of an individual's face (normally either by surveillance cameras, web cameras, still cameras or captured pictures). The captured image is manipulated by a various combination of algorithms and neural networks technology for matching face prints against others stored images in a populated backend database. As comparisons are made, then the system assigns a unique value to comparison using a predetermined threshold, and match is declared. Now days this form of face recognition is used make accurate facial matches. Currently, this technique is being implemented in airports parks, arenas and other famous tourist locations. In this paper, I propose a linear approach, known as pixel matching, for face recognition, for this I used new technique Markov random field based group wise registration. Read More...

Experimental Analysis of Comparative Performance on Operating Diesel Engine with Multi-Cylinder System using Alternative Fuel Such as Methanol, Petrol and Karanja Oil Blends
-Subhra Kanti Batabyal ; Amitesh Paul; Sohail Bux
To prevent over emission & global warming (prevent also greenhouse generation & pollution) through vehicles with powered engine and we talk specially diesel engine with multi-cylinder system (such as more than one cylinder system) or four stroke multi-cylinder .In diesel engine high performance than petrol engine due heavy transportation purpose and heavy league system for long distance traveling and high revenue generation on it. In diesel engine with multi-cylinder system, problems are vapour lock, knocking of fuel, proper atomization, scavenge and need high performance etc. If such problems have to remove so that engine efficiency will improve that’s what vehicle powered with engine may run smoothly with low emission and high fuel efficiency and low cost. Due to that reason will search for blend for diesel fuel; so we looked for methanol, petrol and karanja oil as blend of diesel fuel as proper proportion is required engine point of view. Here main blend is Karanja oil as abstracts from vegetable oil as non-edible. The mixing of petrol and methanol is to reduce viscosity with karanja oil. So mainly karanja oil is mixing with diesel fuel but to reduce viscosity level as vegetable oil to use as fuel mixing with methanol and petrol by process of distillation or new technique of chemical process. The aim is to do experimental analysis for performance of a diesel engine fuel with blend of karanja oil ;as composition of 2.0 vol%, 6.0 vol%, 8.0 vol% and 12 vol% blends with methanol , petrol and to improve it chemical behavior so that both the agents taken as equally proportions in karanja oil make as fuel . Therefore we see improve in calorific value for high performance of methanol, petrol and karanja oil blend of diesel engine. We see in result of better engine performance as in term of Indicated power more efficient as earlier as 10% of engine performance so improved in brake power that’s what engine get excellent efficiency as in Mechanical , volumetric and thermal. Development of Acoustic Material using Kapok Fibre for Automotive Application
-Kishan Sangani ; Dharmendra V.Bihola; Ashwin Thakkar
Acoustic properties of textile materials have been studied for several decades. But, mostly used materials were synthetic, and hence, they were not eco-friendly in nature. Therefore, an attempt was put forward to try the sound absorption Property of natural fibres and their blends by needle-punched nonwoven techniques. Nonwoven fabrics of ideal materials are used as acoustical insulation products because they have high total surface area. The effect of blend proportion of Kapok with polypropylene, fabric GSM, bulk density and distance of fabric from sound source on sound reduction of nonwoven fabrics was investigated. The sound reduction increases with increase in blend proportion of kapok and polypropylene. A nonwoven fabric of kapok and polypropylene 70/30 shows the highest sound reduction potential. As the distance between the fabric and sound sources increases, the sound reduction also increases linearly due to Reduction of sound intensity which reduces the transmission of sound through the fabric. There is a positive correlation between fabric GSM and sound reduction Further of nonwoven samples decreases with increase in kapok and polypropylene blend proportion due to Increase in thickness of samples. Isolation and Characterization of Streptococcus Mutans and Streptococcus Sobrinus from Dental Caries to Determine its Inhibition by Bacteriocins of Lactic Acid Bacteria
-Parul Thapar ; R. K. Malik; M. K. Salooja
Oral health is now recognized equally important in relation to general health. Despite of numerous studies and improvements in dental health, major oral health problems around the world are generally considered to be dental caries. It has been surveyed and concluded that the caries mainly occurs in children below the age group of 7-10 years. There are certain bacteriocins produced by the species of lactic acid bacteria. The bacteriocins like Nisin A and mutacin B-Ny266 are active against a range of organisms, including species of Actinomyces, Bacillus, Clostridium, Corynebacterim, Enterococcus, Gardnerella, Lactococcus, Streptococcus, and Staphylococcus. In the present study, the bacteriocin produced by the lyophilized culture of Pediococcus pentosaceus PP34 has been used to determine its anti-microbial activity against the dental caries causing organisms. The caries causing organisms like Streptococcus mutans and Streptococcus sobrinus have been isolated from dental cavities on selective agar media-TYCSB media. The microscopic, cultural, biochemical and molecular characterization of the isolates has been performed to confirm the isolated strains upto species level. The isolates were confirmed as Streptococcus mutans and Streptococcus sobrinus. On performing the anti-microbial activity, the bacteriocin produced by Pediococcus pentosaceus PP34 showed inhibitory effect against the isolated strains of Streptococcus mutans and Streptococcus sobrinus. Therefore, the bacteriocins from lactic acid bacteria can be fortified to various food products like chocolates so that the selective food product itself becomes a weapon against dental cavities in humans. Effect of Shear Wall on the Seismic Response of a High Rise RCC Building
-Anil Suthar ; Riya Suthar
Shear wall is a structural member used to resist lateral forces i.e. parallel to the plane of the wall. For slender walls where the bending deformation is more, Shear wall resists the loads due to Cantilever Action. In other words, Shear walls are vertical elements of the horizontal force resisting system. In building construction, a rigid vertical diaphragm capable of transferring lateral forces from exterior walls, floors, and roofs to the ground foundation in a direction parallel to their planes. Examples are the reinforced-concrete wall. Lateral forces caused by wind, earthquake, and uneven settlement loads, in addition to the weight of structure and occupants, create powerful twisting (torsional) forces. This leads to the failure of the structures by shear. Shear walls are especially important in high-rise buildings subject to lateral wind and seismic forces. Read More...

-Nagaraj Dhanappa Patil ; Dr. M. N. Hedaoo
This study presents an Application of 4D CAD Modeling for Planning & Scheduling. The current planning process is largely manual and time-consuming. There are number of traditional methods for planning and scheduling of construction projects like Bar chart, CPM network technique. One of the technologies developed to improve the coordination, communication of data, design, planning and visualization of construction projects is “Four Dimensional Computer Aided Design (4D CAD)â€. 4D CAD model is a computer generated model of structure. Therefore it is used to stimulate graphically. 4D models can give a clear picture of project & idea to future possible impact while planning which will occur during construction. 4D model is the promising tool for construction planning. If only converting this 2D drawing is a tedious task, combining these 2D drawings with safety. planning creates more difficult tasks. In order to address the problems, this paper discusses our research in integrating construction scheduling and safety planning in a 4D environment. Use of 4D Model contributed in time saving and ultimately cost of construction by reducing the delay. 4D models help to improve construction plans as compared to traditional planning tools. "Data is the new Oil" Maybe this quote seems more familiar now a days. More or less this quote self-defines its existence and importance in this world of digitization. With the growth of digital media and its relevance endeavors Data transaction must needs to be dealt in highly secured and efficient manner which not only confers its ultimate reliability but also focusses upon the ease and efficiency in its transfer mechanism. So hereby we are trying to introduce the common methods and practices performed to achieve this targets. As the latest verdict and decision of our honorable Supreme Court of India in its judgment stated Right to Privacy as a fundamental right which hitherto needs to maintains and defines all the security measures must be conferred by any institution machinery who is dealing with the personal data management work. As per mandate it’s also seems necessary to have data security audit for networking firms and hence it must comply and guarantees the most available techniques and methodology to adopt for its storing, transfer and migration purposes in personal data analysis and management working environment. We are not providing here any technical specialties and regulations that needs to be dealt in such an environment but our sole focus lies upon to make aware and provide general sense of its transfer mechanism for the end user to understand this rigid mechanism in simple logistic form. As tracing fault and providing optimal solutions in this regards needs higher end machinery and manpower with high technicality which not available at source to us. So we simply try to present this techniques in as simple and lucid manner as possible. Read More...
