-Apurv Gaikwad ; Mandar Gawas; Sahil Bhandare; A. B Attar; A. S Dhavale
The growth of Indian manufacturing sector depends largely on its productivity & quality. Productivity depends upon many factors, one of the major factors being manufacturing efficiency with which the operation /activities are carried out in the organization. Productivity can be improved by reducing the total machining time, combining the operations etc. In case of mass production where variety of jobs is less and quantity to be produced is huge, it is very essential to produce the job at a faster rate. This is not possible if we carry out the production by using general purpose machines. The best way to improve the production rate (productivity) along with quality is by use of special purpose machine. Usefulness and performance of the existing drilling machine will be increased by designing and development of Gang Drilling Machine with an arrangement of Muiltispindle drill head. This paper deals with such development undertaken for similar job under consideration along with industrial case study. Read More...

Investigation on Biogas Operated Intake Device
-Ashish Kamdi ; Rupesh Telrandhe
One of the major problems for the successful application of biogas as a motor fuel for SI (Spark Ignition) engines are the modifications that are required into the engine as well as intake system. To overcome this problem, a new intake device has to design. With the use of this new intake device, the engine will be effectively run on biogas. Intake system for petrol operated SI engine is an combination of number of devices like Air cleaning device, Fuel hoses, Air/Fuel mixing device and Intake manifold. For safe, clean, and reliable operation of combustion devices depends to a large degree on the exact control of the fuel/air mixing process prior to ignition. This intake system is not directly used for biogas operated SI engine because the properties of biogas and petrol are different. For that purpose a new intake device will be designed to mix the air/ fuel in proper proportion for safe and clean burning of mixture and better performance of biogas operated SI engine. In that Intake Device inlet diameter remains constant while throat diameter, convergent angle, gas hole diameter and Number of holes are varied. This device has a better control on quantity of air and fuel (Biogas) which is coming into the mixing device, quantity of air and Fuel (biogas) has been controlled with the help of accelerating device it is an combination of many parts but there are two main parts which are more useful for controlling air and Fuel are piston valve and jet needle. The aim of this study is to optimize the throat diameter of intake device, number of gas holes and proper mixing of charge by using control device before the combustion process. Read More...

Detecting Power Grid Synchronization Failure on Sensing Bad Voltage or Frequency
-Prakhar Pandey ; Sawan Kumar Sharma
In this paper, we present the development of a system to detect the synchronization failure of any external supply source to the power grid on sensing the abnormalities in frequency and voltage. There are several power generation units connected to the grid such as hydel, thermal, solar etc. to supply power to the load. These generating units need to supply power according to the rules of the grid. These rules involve maintaining a voltage variation within limits and also the frequency. So it is preferable to have a system which can warn the grid in advance so that alternate arrangements are kept on standby to avoid complete grid failure. This prevents in large scale brown out or black out of the grid power. So, it is preferable to have a system which can warn the grid in advance so that alternate arrangements are kept on standby to avoid complete grid failure. The microcontroller monitors the under/over voltage being derived from a set of comparators and a standard Arduino is used to vary the input voltage to test the functioning of the paper. A lamp load (indicating a predictable blackout, brownout) being driven from the microcontroller in case of voltage/frequency going out of acceptable range. Further the project can be enhanced by using power electronic devices to isolate the grid from the erring supply source by sensing cycle by cycle deviation for more sophisticated means of detection. -Pawan M Dhole ; Swati Kakade; Akash Khandare; Gaurav Dumre
Effective and real-time face detection has been made possible by using the method of Local Binary Pattern since Viola and Jones' work. The software first captures an image of all the authorized persons and stores the information into database. Proposed work deals with automated system to detect and classify the Faces using PNN algorithm. The methodology comprised of three phases, first face Detection from images, second apply Local Binary Pattern algorithm for the purpose of feature extraction. The most valuable and exclusive structures of the face image are removed in the feature extraction stage. In the classification the face image is compared with the images from the database. In our research work, we empirically evaluate face recognition which considers both shape and texture information to represent face images based on Local Binary Patterns for person independent face recognition. The face area is first divided into small regions from which Local Binary Patterns (LBP), histograms are extracted and concatenated into a single feature vector. This feature vector forms an efficient representation of the face and is used to measure similarities between images in third phase and probabilistic neural network has been created and trained according to the features extracted from the image. Trained classifier classifies the label name of person. Read More...

Performance Comparison of Cuboidal Box Type Solar Still with Different Feed System
-Sumit Saini ; Amol Tripathi
The need for pure drinking water in dry and remote areas is very acute particularly in Rajasthan, Kuchchh etc. The dry areas however have no shortage of solar energy which is available in plenty. Solar desalination is a technique to curb this problem in dry areas. The work presented in this paper relates to a cuboidal type solar still. The solar still is designed and a sheet of porous material (jute sack) is deployed on plane basin profile and saline water is fed by two different means. First still was fed by a reservoir kept at higher elevation and second one was fed by capillary action from reservoir kept at elevation lower than still. On this vary design, experimentation has been performed to compare the performance of cuboidal box type solar still with different feed systems and different parameters are measured in this process. The results are obtained at an inclination angle of 24Ëš which is best suited for Rewa Madhya Pradesh (coordinates 24.53ËšN, 81.3ËšE). In this performance comparison the measurement of productivity and temperatures at different points on solar still. Read More...

-J. Helenprincy ; P. Leelavathi; M. Subasini; A. Gayathri
In computing, phishing is a criminal activity using social engineering techniques. Phishers attempts to abuse sensitive information such as passwords and credit card details by masquerading as a trustworthy person or business in an electronic communication. Phishing is typically carried out using email or an urgent message, although phone contact has been used as well. While the Off-the-Hook technique have language independence, speed of decision and user privacy. They suffer from several drawbacks including time delay, inaccuracy, information retrieval, storage media, reports and enquiry. These drawbacks are slowdown the speed of the browser. To address these limitations, we present a new approach for detecting and identifying phishing URL using Naive Bayes algorithm. It is an efficient and effective technique to identify the phishing websites. In addition, Naive Bayes identifies the target websites that a phishing webpage is attempting to mimic and include this target in its warning. Read More...

Renewable Energy Sources Integration with Smart Grid
-Tanuja ; Sunil Kumar; S. N. Joshi
Flexible, strong, and smart grids play a crucial role in the integration of variable renewable energy (RE). As high levels of variable RE penetration becomes increasingly common across power systems. Traditionally the power is generated in bulk and distributed to the large load centers via the transmission lines. The transfer of power was always one way, which is from the utilities to the consumers. Now in the immediate future, renewable energy sources cannot support the entire grid by themselves. So they have to be connected to the main grid acting as auxiliary power sources thus reducing the overall burden on the primary power generation units. However, to achieve this task, an efficient energy management system needs to be addressed. In this context, the concept of smart grid plays a crucial role and can be successfully applied to the power systems. This paper presents the study of integrating renewable energy in smart grid system. Read More...

-P. Keerthana ; Dr. C. S. Kanimozhiselvi; A. Kishore Kumar; D. Kowtham
Throughout the world, tourism brings money to cities and countries. Tourism also provides jobs for the local residents, further benefiting the destination. India has realized the profits available from this sector.Online reviews had a noticeable impact over the tourism industry, as tourists now make decisions based upon the reviews written by the tourists on travel websites. Online reviews directly or indirectly affects the economy of the country through foreign investment or through job opportunities. To process these online reviews as opinions faster, many algorithms were designed which changed the way people viewed online reviews. However, the individual results of these opinion processing algorithms were found biased or varying in some cases, which gave rise to the need of opinion ensemble techniques. In this paper three different tourism types are taken and processed the opinions of each type and analyzed the economic growth. We used opining ensembling technique to evaluate the results. The reviews are extracted from tripadvisor.in. The empirical evaluation of the extracted reviews has resulted in suggestions to improve economic growth through tourism. Read More...

Enhanced Data Security Based on BPCS
-Paridhi Tiwari ; Vibhor Sharma; Harshit Bansal
Data Security is one of the most important factors for transferring important documents containing one's essential information. Internet is one of the widely used medium for such transfer to take place. Such secret documents consists of information about bank transfers, corporate communication etc. All this leads to the need for securing our data in order to prevent unauthorized access to systems, data, facilities, and networks. Steganography is a technique to hide secret information in some other data without any loss of information. There are several techniques of data hiding like text, audio, image, video etc but all these techniques have limited amount of data hiding capacity. All the existing image steganography technique having the limited percent of information hiding capacity, they can only hide 12-15% information of the vessel. Bit Plane Complexity Segmentation is a technique that provides near 50% of data hiding capacity. The most important aspect of BPCS-Steganography is that the embedding capacity is very large. In comparison to simple image based steganography which uses solely the least important bit of data, and thus (for a 24-bit color image) can only embed data equivalent to 1/8 of the total size, BPCS-Steganography uses multiple bit-planes, and so can embed a much higher amount of data, though this is dependent on the individual image. The aim of the existing system is replace the frequency component of the image of replace the LSB bit of the image into the secret information, but the main aim of the proposed system is to embed the secret data or information in the bit plane of the image.
