Prevention of Phishing Attacks with the Help of Anti-Phishing Website using Visual Cryptography (Banking Portal)
-Saheel Deshpande ; Sadhana Dhokane; Chetan Nagare; Neha Pawar
For security purposes every application provides user authentication. From a very long time secret data or computer code has been used for giving security to information. In user authentication we have to complete the process of entering username and password. Authentication process has 3 parts Token based, Biometric and Knowledge based authentication. Almost all existing web applications are providing knowledge based authentication including alphanumeric passwords as well as graphical passwords. In today’s changing world when we are having number of networks and personal accounts some secure authentication method is required. In the process of phishing an individual, group tries to thieve personal and conï¬dential information of the user such as passwords from unsusceptible victims for the purpose of identity theft, ï¬nancial gain and other fraudulent activities causing loss. A new approach has been proposed in this paper called “An Anti- Phishing Framework Based on Visual Cryptography†to solve the problem of phishing. Here an image based authentication using Visual Cryptography (vc) is used. The VC scheme method is explored to preserve the privacy and security of image captcha. It decomposes the original image captcha into two shares that are stored in separate database servers such that the original image captcha can be revealed only when both are simultaneously available. The individual sheet images do not reveal the identity of the original image captcha. Once the original image captcha is revealed to the user it can be used as the password. In the above mentioned approach we provide image based authentication, where password image is generated for every login attempt and it will be downloaded from the registered email of the user which has been used for registration. Every time the image generated is unique. Read More...

Stand-Alone Wind Energy Conversion Systems Feeding Single-Phase Loads
-Amit ; Pardeep Nain
This paper deals with a stand-alone wind energy conversion system (SWECS) employing an isolated asynchronous generator (IAG) and feeding single-phase loads. To achieve maximum power point tracking (MPPT) under change in wind speed, a three-leg voltage source converter (VSC) is used at IAG terminals to facilitate variable voltage variable frequency power generation through an IAG. A battery system is used at intermediate DC bus of VSC and a single-phase voltage source inverter (VSI) to enable load leveling under change in consumer loads. A single-phase VSI provides regulated load voltage at constant frequency. The MATLAB R2007b is used to simulate the proposed SWECS using a discrete step solver. The performance of developed voltage and frequency controller is demonstrated as a load leveler, a harmonic eliminator, a maximum power point tracker and a voltage and frequency controller. Design and Fabrication of Solar Operated Thresher Machine
-Akshay R. Nandeshwar ; Hitesh K. Bhajipale; Chetan P. Tambe; Humedra B. Kumbhalwar; Swapnil J. Patil
This paper deals with the development of a rice threshing machine. Available evidence suggests that the mode of threshing rice in the rural areas in Nigeria is by traditional use of hand beating of the paddy. This method is time wasting, energy sapping and often the grains are broken. The developed rice thresher has the ability to winnow the premature grains and leaves, which are often lighter, thus, leaving aside the massy grains that, will be collected. It is also capable of reducing time wastage, reduction in breakage of the grains and separation of the stalk from the grains. Thresher is a rice seed threshing tool. Threshing is an integral part of the process in rice post-harvest management, in which the rice that has been harvested is threshed to separate the grains from the rice straw. One of the main problems faced by the farmers, especially during the post-harvest time is the difficulty to carry the thresher to the harvest site since it is inaccessible for four-wheeled vehicles to reach the sites, and thus the further transport is conducted by manpower of at least six people using bamboos to bear the rice. Data gathering method is conducted by separating the parts of the thresher in four categories namely the frames, the feeding parts, the thresher, and the cover, and then data of each production. IVTIS: Autonomous Information Collecting and Broadcasting Model for VANETs
-Anju S Pillai ; Sudheesh S R; Hari S
Autonomous vehicle traffic information systems are a relevant topic for next-generation traffic information Systems, as the existing centralized traffic information systems involve a large initial investment and high operating costs. Vehicle traffic information systems suffer from many problems such as the need to communicate large amounts of data, requiring a longer time for road network coverage, unsteady transmission, and the need for an automatic generation and update method for road network congestion information in a large-scale urban road network. To overcome these problems, here proposes an intelligent vehicular traffic information system (IVTIS) based on a vehicular ad hoc network (VANET). This system employs a local road network and rapid dissemination model (IVTIS-LNFRN) of congestion information based on link nodes for a large-scale urban road network, and it constructs the corresponding system models. We then use traffic simulation software to evaluate the feasibility of the IVTIS. Then analyze the dissemination effect of different traffic inflow volumes, information packet loss rates, and different rates of IVTIS vehicles. Read More...

Implementation of Intelligent Adaptive Control for Traffic Signal System
-Sai Prashanth S ; Nagacharan U N; Harish R; Manjunath M; Malathi S
One of the biggest problem in urbanized areas is traffic congestion. Many a times, the green signal would be shown to empty roads while a busy lane waiting. Ambulance and fire brigades also get stuck in traffic jams. The prevailing traffic control system does not help to solve these problems effectively as they function in open loop with no feedback of traffic data such as vehicle density. To overcome this disadvantage, the traffic system should be able to detect, which lane is busier than the other lanes and whether an ambulance is stuck in that lane. This capacity is given to the traffic system using IR sensors placed strategically along the lane to determine the traffic density and using RFID tags implanted in ambulance, fire brigades to give priority for their passage over vehicles of other lanes. Prediction of Rainfall using Data Mining Techniques
-S. Monishaditya ; Dr. E. Gothai; M. N. Mukilaa; T. Gokulnath
In this paper we discuss a data mining application for predicting peninsular Indian summer monsoon rainfall, and propose an algorithm that combine data mining and statistical techniques. We select likely predictors based on association rules that have the highest confidence levels. We then cluster the selected predictors to reduce their dimensions and use cluster membership values for classification. We derive the predictors from local conditions in southern India, including mean sea level pressure, wind speed, and maximum and minimum temperatures. The global condition variables include southern oscillation and Indian Ocean dipole conditions. The algorithm predicts rainfall in five categories: Flood, Excess, Normal, Deficit and Drought. We use closed itemset mining, cluster membership calculations and a multilayer perceptron function in the algorithm to predict monsoon rainfall in peninsular India. Using Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology data, we found the prediction accuracy of our proposed approach to be exceptionally good. Read More...

An Efficient Face Recognised Locker System using Image Processing
-G Dheiva Sudarsini ; S Abinaya; S Abdul Rahuman; B Arun Kumar; Dr J Mohan
Since last few years, security[3] systems are getting more awareness and importance. Today, there are many banks using authorize access control approach to prevent the locker room from unauthorized access. It can facilitate secure displacement and convenient retrieval. These systems mainly focus on providing a mechanism which is secure, authentic and user-friendly for both the customer’s of the bank holding a locker and the branch head’s involvement in all the operations pertaining to the safety lockers. Security[3] to the properties of any individual is becoming greater challenge in today’s world. Those valuable properties of any individual which are stored inside the locker system[7] can be easily robbed as they are not provided with at most high security[3]. Therefore, any type of illegal activities can occur such that it can reduced by providing the lockers with high security[3]. In case of any emergency, the stolen properties can be recovered using this high security[3] system. The proposed system recognised the user’s face of the appropriate locker system[7] such that this ensures high security[3] to the system. At first, an application is created such that to get the normal password for the locker from the user. Then using image processing, the face gets recognised such that it verifies and confirms that he/she is the actual user of that system. If he/she is the actual user of the locker, it inturn sends One Time Password (OTP) to the user’s mobile such that if it is entered in the locker’s number pad, the locker gets opened instantly. Thus with the help of this system, we could ensure atmost security[3] to the locker and also it prevents any illegal activities to occur. And also this kind of locker system[7] can be used anywhere such as homes, banks, hotels & etc. such that it ensures high security[3] to the valuables inside the locker system[7].In the common cases of robberies the security[3] system is designed such that it detects the illegal entrance in the bank locker room areas. Due to the lack of proof the banks are unable to identify the robbers which is the major concern with current manually supervised security[3] system. The system will focus on the safety of the bank locker rooms in an effective way by detecting and controlling unauthorized motion. Read More...

This aim of this paper for protection of the single phase induction motor from over voltage and under voltage, over current and overheating. Due the fault the winding of motor get heated which lead to insulation failure and thus reduce the life of motor. This fault is generated in induction motor due to variation in induction motor parameters. When single phase induction motor runs continuously, it is necessary to protect the motor from these anticipated faults. Single phase induction motor generally directly connected through the supply, if the supply voltage has a fluctuation due to fault the performance of motor is affected and in some cases winding is burned out. GSM is attached for recving message about fault and controlling motor. Read More...

According to WHO (World Health Organization) about 1 million people die due to road accidents in that approximately 25% of them die with accidents due to motorcycles. And more than half of the deaths are due to head injuries because of not wearing helmets. Most of these deaths are preventable by the compulsory use of helmets. It is found that wearing helmets can reduce the death percentage by 70%. To prevent this so many rules are made and wearing helmet is made compulsory. But still so many people are breaking the rules and driving very casually without wearing helmets and thereby risking their lives. To prevent this problem we have created this project "Helmet Detection Based Bike Security with GPS". We developed this system is designed in such a way that the vehicle will not start until and unless the rider wears a helmet. We added addition feature to this system of accident detection in which we added GSM and GPS module through which if accident of rider happens, the location of rider is automatically to hospitals and his relatives. We develop this project for the safety of people. Read More...

In todays' world, remote patient health monitoring using wireless technology plays a vigorous role in the society[1]. This paper presents a monitoring system that has the capability to monitor physiological parameters like body temperature, pulse rate [2] from multiple patient bodies. In the proposed system, a coordinator node close to the patient's body collects all the signals from various sensors and sends them to the receiver node (base station)[3]. The proposed prototype includes two sensor nodes and receiver node (base station)[4]. The sensor nodes are able to transmit data to receiver via RF network using wireless nRF transceiver module. The nRF transceiver module is used to transfer the data from microcontroller to PC [5] where it is then displayed using windows form application and then save the data into a database. This system can reduce energy consumption to prolong the network lifetime as well as provide a cheaper, easier and quick means to monitor patient's health. Read More...

Assessment and Estimation of Flood Discharge for given return period is utmost important for planning and Design of Hydraulic Structures in the project site. But as it involves various parameters such as temperature, relative humidity, rate of evaporation, discharge, precipitation, topographical usage etc. which are highly unsteady, thus making it one of the most difficult task to have an accurate predictability. Through Artificial Neural Network, we have estimated flood discharge of next day. We used 3 set of input data viz. rain gauge, temperature and discharge for Phulgaon area (Pune District) Maharashtra. Through black box technique, all the input variables will be given set of weights and bias, and after training of those data sets, various network architecture would be created and among them best one would be selected comprising of lowest possible errors and best predicted output. These evaluations would be based on RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) and Hydrograph analysis, thus making it effective for pre or post management of disaster as well. Read More...
