In day today life a smart phone becomes one of important necessity of smart life. In the fast growing application market is hard to maintain application categories. While registration, application developers have to select category for their application also provides short description and long description too. Although of selecting the right category, the approach leaves on Google play store or Apple play store. Periodically application open in another category. It has been observed that the mismatch between the description of the application and category belong to, continue to exist. It is common mechanism for application, now days there is a complaint driven process or manual checking process exist. This is time consuming and decreasing the popularity of application. Whereas the application developers struggle to get visibility for their product. To avoid this uncategorization, we introduced the advanced FRAC: (FR)amework for Application Categorization based on probabilistic modeling is proposed that utilizes app descriptions as normalized vectors in the space of words and categorize and detect uncategorized apps accurately. -Muntazir Ahmad Bhat ; Dr. Rakesh Gupta
The best connectivity to any part of the country is first to develop infrastructure of the country. The use of geo-textiles in flexible pavements has been a well-accepted practice over the past thirty years. In most recent years, the base course of flexible pavement is reinforced by geo-textiles to improve performance and to reduce the thickness of base course. There are two major types of pavements: flexible and rigid. In this we are discussing about the flexible pavements. The performance of some flexible pavements in some climatic condition has been proved disappointing because a transverse crack has been developed within a few years of construction. Other forms of flexible pavements distress include alligator or map cracks, ruts and reflective cracking. The additional benefit in the construction of flexible pavement by using geo-textile is that they are very stiff. Read More...

Assessment of Blast Pressure using Cantilevers
-Prof. Ankur Kulkarni
History has shown that the effects of explosion targeted at civilian and military facilities cause widespread damage to infrastructure, inflict human casualties and generate confusion in peacetime. Although such events are tragic, a detailed study of the post-detonation effects on structures offers valuable lessons for engineers. One simple device generally overlooked by investigators is the response of cantilever structures such as lamp-posts or traffic sign-posts after an explosion has occurred. These are vital structures for the engineer to determine weapon yield. In this way, the integrity of the damaged structure and other undamaged buildings in the vicinity can be assessed. This paper outlines a preliminary study to identify a passive economical mode of assessing blast wave characteristics using a simple solid circular aluminium cantilever. A review of two conventional approaches to assess the blast overpressure from an explosion using a cantilever is presented. The development of mathematical formulations and design of simple cantilevers to measure air-blast pressure is discussed. A comparative analysis is provided to enable designers to better appreciate the significance of this analytical tool in blast pressure assessment. Read More...

Process arranging is an action that incorporates a wide scope of exercises to plan and build up a creation procedure that is proper for the generation of a piece. Understanding of part structure, choice of generation forms, meaning of activities, agent groupings, machining information, geometrical measurements and resiliences are a portion of the basic errands related with the undertaking. Process arranging is likewise "the connection between item plan and generation" with the extra commission to help the structure of aggressive items. Process arranging is unpredictable and dynamic, regularly controlled by a specialist with few or no unequivocal strategies to take care of the issue. The work is heuristic and the outcome relies upon individual encounters and choices. For a considerable length of time, there have been numerous endeavors to create PC supported arranging frameworks (CAPP). CAPP is as yet sitting tight for a change and one reason is the hole between the usefulness of the CAPP framework and the act of modern process arranging. The exploration was done in a modern situation for the creation of high-volume equip parts. In spite of the fact that the make of riggings has numerous particular qualities, the techniques and results introduced in this proposition are commonly relevant to the generation of exactness of numerous sorts of mechanical parts. Evaluation of Unstiffened Extended End Plate Moment Connection Design Methods for I-Section Steel Beam
-Santosh Dinkar Shejwal ; Poonam S Ingole
Extended end plate bolted moment connections are integral part of multi-storeyed steel buildings & Industrial steel buildings. Extended end plate bolted moment connections are provided at beam column joints to achieve rigidity & stiffness to the structures against lateral loads. These lateral loads are induced due to the action of wind, earthquake & vibrations (caused because of man-machine movement). Moment connections are provided for beam & column intermediate splices to achieve flexural continuity over their spans. It is therefore important to identify standard method (analysis-design) & equations for extended end plate bolted moment connections. This Paper aims to study Lever arm method, Triangular force distribution method & Actual neutral axis method for design of extended end plate bolted moment connections. The further work comprises of comparing results obtained from all three methods with results obtained from Finite Element Model prepared in STAAD Pro Software. Most appropriate method showing close resemblance with results of FEA method for design of end plate bolted moment connection is then accepted. Read More...

Effect of Partial Replacement of Course Aggregates by Waste Tyre Rubber Aggregates in Rigid Pavements
-Amir Majeed Hajam ; Dr. Rakesh Gupta
Our present study intends to explore the most effective use of the waste tyre rubber as a constituent of concrete mix replacing the coarse aggregate partially. In this research work, emphasis is given on the pre-treating of the rubber particles and then using them as the partial replacement of the conventional rock aggregates. To get the best results, the rubber aggregates used are surface treated by sodium hydroxide and cement paste before using them in the concrete.M20 grade concrete is used. Using untreated rubber aggregates, the compressive strength of the resultant concrete reduced rapidly, but when treated rubber aggregates were introduced, it resulted in the regaining of more than 90% of the 28 day compressive strength of normal concrete which can be considered quite satisfactory considering the easy and cheap availability of the used tyres and the negative impacts it can have on the environment if left unused. This much compressive strength is enough for treated-rubberized concrete for its use in different areas where compressive strength is not much important like in floors and concrete road pavements. Flexural and split tensile strength is found to be higher than that of the normal concrete but only when treatment is given to the rubber aggregates before using them. Workability is decreased. Flexibility gets increased and due to the lower unit weight of the rubber particles, it is also lighter than the normal concrete. These enhanced properties can be helpful in using this concrete in flexible slabs and as light weight concretes. Appreciable compressive strength, more flexural and split tensile strength, light weight, higher impact and toughness resistance which means prolonged and better resistance to formation of cracks, upgraded ductility, etc. Read More...

Inhibition of Bacterial Nitrification by Extracts of Velvet Beans Plant Mucuna Pruriens in Sandy Loam Soils in Owerri, Nigeria
-Dr. Joe Alagoa ; Daworiye, P.S; Orji, J. C; Nwabueze, R. N
In order to maintain soil fertility, nitrification inhibitors are used to reduce the loss of nitrogen caused by nitrification. This is vital to ensure food and environmental sustainability. Therefore extracts of the velvet beans plant Mucuna pruriens were used to determine their nitrification inhibiting activities in agricultural soil samples and simulate its possible effect in the field. Moistened soil samples amended with ammonium sulphate at 0.5mg/kg soil and different concentrations of velvet beans plant extracts (1%, 2% and 4%) at 60% water holding capacity. The soil samples were analyzed at weekly intervals for 5 weeks for ammonium nitrogen (NH4+-N) and nitrate nitrogen (NO3+-N). Data obtained were subjected to statistical analyses using the SPSS® software. Simple percentages, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at 95% limit and the nitrification inhibition rate of the various extracts and the inhibitory threshold times were determined using the sigmoid dose-response model. Result indicates that the sandy loamy soil samples recorded nitrification inhibition ranging from 5.63% to 90.53% and nitrification stimulation (21.2% to 2.97%). Application of 4% of extract exhibited the highest rate of nitrification inhibition. There is no significant difference in the extent of nitrification inhibition at different concentrations of extracts for the sandy loamy soil treatments except for the 4% treatment level and at week 5. It can be concluded that the extracts of Mucuna pruriens provides little effective nitrification inhibitors in sandy loam soils but its effectiveness can be improve by increasing its application rate and extending the application time. Incorporating a 6th 'S' – Safety in 5S Lean Methodology
-Harsh Naik ; Jay Desai
5S is a systematic strategy to enhance your housekeeping and institutionalize your procedures making them increasingly productive and less unpleasant for your workers. 5S benefits are many, higher efficiencies, less pressure, less mishaps, larger amounts of value, less breakdowns thus on.6S and 5S both work on keeping the losses of Muda, Muri, and Mura, particularly focusing on Muda or the seven squanders. Muda is the non-esteem including activities inside your procedures; Muri is to overburden or be preposterous while Mura is unevenness. The name 5S originates from the 5 Japanese words that make up the 5 phases of 5S, every one beginning with the letter "S". 6S has included the extra "S" of security to the first 5. So the phases of 6S are sort, set all together, clear, institutionalize, continue and security. he primary advantages of 6S over the advantages of 5S is that additional emphasis on wellbeing, utilized in territories with progressively dangerous procedures it can decrease much further the danger of an episode. So 6S; 5S + wellbeing is a decent wagered on the off chance that you need to drive down the conceivable outcomes of any type of mishap. Read More...

Power Generation in Smart City by Used of Kinatic Energy of Vehicles from Speed Breaker
-Prashant Singh Rajpoot ; Sharad Chandra Rajpoot; Sudhabala Gupta; Shweta Thakur
When a conventional vehicle applies its brakes, kinetic energy is converted to heat as friction between the brake pads and the wheels. This heat is carries away in the airstream and the energy is effectively wasted. The total amount of energy lost in this way depends on how often, how hard and for how long the brakes are applied. Regenerative Braking System is the way of slowing vehicle by using the motors as brakes. Instead of the surplus energy of the vehicle being wasted as unwanted heat, the motors act as generators and return some of it to the overhead wires as electricity. The vehicle is primarily powered from the electrical energy generated from the generator, which burns gasoline. This energy is stored in a large battery, and used by an electric motor that provides motive force to the wheels. The regenerative braking taking place on the vehicle is a way to obtain more efficiency; instead of converting kinetic energy to thermal energy through frictional braking, the vehicle can convert a good fraction of its kinetic energy back into charge in the battery, using the same principle as an alternator. Power line communication (PLC) presents an interesting and economical solution for Automatic Meter Reading (AMR). If an AMR system via PLC is set in a power delivery system, a detection system for illegal electricity usage may be easily added in the existing PLC network. In the detection system, the second digitally energy meter chip is used and the value of energy is stored. The recorded energy is compared with the value at the main kilo Watt-hour meter. In the case of the difference between two recorded energy data, an error signal is generated and transmitted via PLC network. The detector and control system is proposed. The architecture of the system and their critical components are given. The measurement results are given. This paper describes detector system for illegal electricity usage using the power lines based on the research work-taking place at the Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), Bangalore. The target of this study is to discover new and possible solutions for this problem. Read More...

-Prashant Singh Rajpoot ; Kailash Singh; Mahadeer Dubey; Sudeep Shrivastava; Neeraj Kumar Soni
Transmission networks of modern power systems are becoming increasingly stressed because of growing demand and restrictions on building new lines. One of the consequences of such a stressed system is the threat of losing stability following a disturbance. Flexible ac transmission system (FACTS) devices are found to be very effective in a transmission network for better utilization of its existing facilities without sacrificing the desired stability margin. Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) such as Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) and Static VAR Compensator (SVC), employ the latest technology of power electronic switching devices in electric power transmission systems to control voltage and power flow. A static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) is a shunt device of the flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS) family. The STATCOM regulates voltage at its terminal by controlling the amount of reactive power injected into or absorbed from power system. When system voltage is low, STATCOM generates reactive power and when system voltage is high it absorbs reactive power. In this research work, STATCOM controller based on Genetic algorithm is proposed in single machine infinite bus system (SMIB). Proposed controller is implemented under MATLAB/SIMULNK environment. Inspecting Mix Proportions of SCC using Taguchi Method
-Abhishek Singh Chandel ; Sanjeev Kumar Verma
Self-compacting concrete (SCC) was developed to address the space problem in structural elements having highly congested reinforcement the result and optimization of self-compacting rubberized concrete has been investigated by using Taguchi method. Design of experiment has been done through orthogonal array to accommodate 4 factors with 4 levels to make a total of 16 number of trail mixes. Factors selected are the fine rubber percentage, coarse rubber percentage, fly ash and viscocrete in the concrete mix. The signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio is utilized to study the performance features of self-compacting rubberized concrete. Concrete containing rubber can be improved using the concrete proportioned as self-compacting concrete. The outcomes showed that there is a reduction in the strength with increasing rubber content. Though, the substitution of 10% of coarse aggregate with coarse rubber gives higher strength than that of zero rubber mix by 124% after 90 days. Read More...

-Bhutan Sakalkar ; Roshan Kumar; Dr. Pankaj Singh
As per standard practice bridges (Short Span less than 6M) were designed by IRC: 6 – 2000 & IRC: 21 – 2000. Both the codes were based upon Working Stress Method. But IRC has revised IRC: 6 – 2000 as IRC: 6 – 2014 and published a new code IRC: 112 - 2011 for bridges design. These are based upon the Limit State Method. In the present study using these codes a RCC Box Culvert of 4M span & height is analyzed & designed with WSM approach as well as LSM approach. A MS – Excel sheet is also developed by manual calculation for the same. Results of manual analysis, MS – Excel sheet & Staad Pro are compared for design the problem The Design based on both the approaches WSM & LSM are also compared & a parametric study is carried out by keeping Steel Grade as constant with different Grade of Concrete and finding the % reduction in Steel Reinforcement as well as % reduction in section dimensions due to LSM approach over WSM approach. This study will eventually comment on the design philosophy LSM & WSM regarding the design of RCC Box Culvert and discussed which one will perform better economically as well as structurally. The developed MS – Excel tool is user friendly, error free & fast for convenient-application for the RCC Box Culvert Design Read More...
