Enhancement of Heat Transfer rate by Using Twisted Tapes in Tube in Tube Heat Exchanger
-Mr. Sujit D. Kolhe ; Mr. Yogesh P.Pachgade
Impact of the twisted tape insertion on heat transfer and flow friction characteristics in a concentric double pipe heat exchanger have been studied through experimentally. In the experiments, the swirling flow was introduced by using twisted tape placed inside the inner test tube of the heat exchanger with different twist ratios, y = 5.0 and 7.0. The experimental results revealed that the increase in heat transfer rate of the twisted-tape inserts is found to be strongly effect by tape-induced swirl or vortex motion. Experimentation are carried out in three phase. In first phase, the air flow through the smooth circular duct and heat transfer characteristics are observed. In second phase, a GI Sheet twisted tapes with twist ratio of 7.0 are inserted inside the circular duct and the changes in characteristics are observed. These changes are occurred due the destruction of flow behaviour. In third phase, instead of tapes with twist ratio 5.0 is inserted. Heat transfer rate and heat transfer coefficient of both types are also compared to without twisted tapes. Over the range investigated, the maximum Nusselt numbers for using the enhancement devices with y = 5.0 and 7.0 are higher than that for the plain tube. In addition, the effects of the twisted tape on the heat transfer enhancement are also investigated. Read More...

A Review on Multi Image Encryption Technique using LabVIEW
-JAYSHREE VERMA ; JAYSHREE VERMA; Dr. Monisha Sharma
The sudden increase in encryption technology interest is most likely due to the increase in concern over copyright protection of content. With the rapid growth of the Internet and the multimedia image security systems in distributed environments encryption technique in multi images is a technique used to hide data or identifying information within digital multimedia image. In the early days, encryption and decryption control access techniques were used to protect the image of media. Advance encryption algorithm technique becoming popular, especially for adding undetectable identification marks, such as copyright information. Because of this practical importance, watermarking techniques are often evaluated based on their invisibility, recoverability, and robustness. The copying of digital content without quality loss is not so difficult. Due to this, there are more chances of Xeroxing of such digital information. So, in need of avoiding such illegal copyright of digital media digital signal processing sending end encryption and receiving end decryption is the powerful solution to this problem. This work will focus primarily on the encryption and decryption of real time image (jpg). This proposed paper focuses on implementing a secure image technique that enables to select one of the several images displayed simultaneously with a unique security key for each image using IMAQ toolbox of labview. Review on Siesmic Perfromance of Different Lateral Load Resisting Systems
-Kushappa M K ; Azhar J; Iffat Naaz I; Abdulrajak M; Moin H
Earthquake is one of the nature’s greatest hazards, throughout historic time they have caused significant loss of life and severe damage to property, especially to Man-Made Structures. Therefore, it is necessary to provide special lateral load resisting design methods that improve lateral stability of the structures. Base Isolation is an effective method for earthquake resistant design to reduce vibration transmitted from ground to the structure. Bracing is a very effective and economical system which improves the seismic performance of frame by increasing the lateral stiffness and capacity of frames. Performance Based Plastic Design (PBPD) method has been recently developed to achieve enhanced performance of earthquake resistant structures. The design concept uses pre-selected target drift and yield mechanism as performance criteria and uses the concept of strong column-weak beam method. In the present study the attempt is made to understand the seismic performance of different lateral load resisting building, such as base isolated buildings, braced buildings, PBPD buildings. From this study It has been observed that all the methods have their own specialization in their performance criteria according to the requirement the designer should decide the method in terms economical, strength, aesthetic. -SANJU PAHARE ; Dr. S.K. Nagpure
Artificial roughness in the form of repeated ribs is one of the effective way of improving the performance of a solar air heater ducts. In this paper the CFD analysis on heat transfer and friction in rectangular ducts roughened with broken arc-rib roughness combined with staggered rib piece has been presented. The rib roughness has relative gap width (g/e) was varied from 0.5 to 2.5 and other parameter are constant. The effects of relative gap width on Nusselt number, friction factor and thermo-hydraulic performance parameter have been discussed and results compared with smooth duct and continuous arc rib roughened duct under similar conditions. The rough ribs were efficient enough to transfer the desired heat, but they are not economical and are very complex in design and construction. Whereas, the Circular ribs with different relative gap width gives more area of contact. So, there is enough time to transfer the heat from the ribs to the passing air which touches the ribs and the heat transfer takes place efficiently. It is found that the maximum heat transfer and friction characteristic at a relative gap width of 1.0. Read More...

The real-time CCTV face detection has been made possible by using the method of Viola johns, blob Analysis work. The software first taking CCTV Video of all the authorized persons and stores the information into database. Proposed work deals with automated system to detect and classify the Faces using ANN (Artificial Neural Network) algorithm. The methodology comprised of the three phases, first the face Detection from CCTV Video, second apply ANN (Artificial Neural Network) for the purpose of the feature extraction. The most useful and the unique features of the CCTV video are extracted in the feature extraction phase. In the classification the CCTV Video is compared with the images from the database. In our research work, we empirically evaluate the face recognition which considers both shape and texture information to represent face capture based on ANN (Artificial Neural Network) for person independent face recognition. The face area is first divided into small regions from which the ANN (Artificial Neural Network), histograms are extracted and concatenated into a single feature vector. This feature vector forms an efficient representation of a face and is used to measure the similarities between the CCTV Video. In third phase and blob Analysis has been created and trained according to the features extracted from the CCTV Video. Read More...

A Case Study of Atomised Multi Level Parking
-ANZAR MUSHTAQ WANI ; ANZAR MUSHTAQ WANI; AAMIR NAZIR LONE
Transportation is regarded as the lifeline of a country through which a country or specific region would communicate with rest of the world. A major proportion of development of a region is owed to the transportation system of that region. Our city is in the stage of development. Many fields of infrastructure, technology and applied sciences have developed to a notable extent which some of them are in the developing stage. Proper nurturing and planning of these processes will lead to development while an unplanned progress may yield benefits but these may be short term. One such concern in our city is the increasing pace of private transport. It is no doubt a progress but needs properly planned resources to go well. With the increase in the volume of private transport, the city has entered into developmental phase but to accommodate the progress proper planning is to be done. At present, city is facing acute problems of traffic congestion due to insufficient road area, especially in the Central Business Development Areas (CBD) such as Lal Chowk. A major factor in this regard is the shortage of sufficient parking in these areas. The local businessmen thus reside to street parking which renders roads inappropriate for efficient drive. The motive of this project is to initiate a series of developments by introducing first of its kind in the city, Multi-Level Atomized Parking Concept. As a result of this more cars would be accommodated in less space. This will relieve the CBD roads from street parking besides generating revenue. Read More...

-Ansari Uzair Ahmed Abrar Ahmed ; Sachdev Karan Rajesh; Sayed Mohammad Aamez Awais; Sawood Ahmed
We proposed a system to store and access the data of college like student information, teacher information, staff, attendance, Message alerts, Notice board and much more. Since many colleges can store and access on a single platform the database to store such a huge amount of data is done possible by using the Amazon Web Server (AWS) Cloud storage. By using the Multi-tenency, it has been possible to collect all the colleges on a single platform. Every college registering with the management system will get a username and password to access their respective college. There are also some security issues maintained so that no any college could access the information of any other college. Since every college is having its individual application to store and access data but is not providing much features along with it, so because of the Multi-tenency used in the system many colleges can join and store their college information. Comparison of High Rise Building with and without Shear Wall
-Mohammed Imranuddin ; Abdul Kareem; Khan Yasir
Shear wall systems are one of the most commonly used lateral load resisting systems in buildings. Shear walls are one of the most efficient lateral force resisting elements in buildings. In the seismic design of buildings, reinforced concrete structural walls, or shear walls, act as major earthquake resisting members. Shear walls have very high in plane stiffness and strength, which can be used to simultaneously resist large horizontal loads and support gravity loads, making them quite advantageous in many structural engineering applications. The design and analysis of high-rise building with software helps in reducing economy in construction without reducing the strength and serviceability of the structure as a whole. A residential building of G+10, plot of 540 square yard regular structure is considered for the analysis. To evaluate the seismic response of the buildings and analysis will be performed by using response spectrum method using software-ETABS. The properties of these seismic shear walls dominate the response of the buildings, and therefore, it is important to evaluate the response of the building. Read More...

Master yr maths
-Patel Anuj P. ; Ajaykimar T. Shah
A master yr maths is a game whose rules, strategies, and outcomes are defined by clear mathematical parameters. Often, such games have simple rules and match procedures, such as Tic-tac-toe and Dots and Boxes. Generally, mathematical games need not be conceptually intricate to involve deeper computational underpinnings. For example, even though the rules of Mancala are relatively basic, the game can be rigorously analyzed through the lens of combinatorial game theory. Mathematical games differ sharply from mathematical puzzles in that mathematical puzzles require specific mathematical expertise to complete, whereas mathematical games do not require a deep knowledge of mathematics to play. Often, the arithmetic core of mathematical games is not readily apparent to players untrained to note the statistical or mathematical aspects some mathematical games are of deep interest in the field of recreational mathematics when studying a game's core mathematics, arithmetic theory is generally of higher utility than actively playing or observing the game itself. To analyze a game numerically, it is particularly useful to study the rules of the game insofar as they can yield equations or relevant formulas. This is frequently done to determine winning strategies or to distinguish if the game has a solution. Read More...

Design and Analysis on Feeder System for Hydro Leak in the 10
-MAHAVEER JAIN ; Manjunath TV; Maltesh Gujjar; Hemanth
The shell leak is one of the severe defects which may result in failure of the plant process if it occurs at the installed plant. The shell leak may even cause a fire hazard if the same occurs in the oil and gas plant. There could be a chance of fatal accidents due to shell leak. Hence to avoid these problems the valve bodies are tested with the pressure which is 1.5 times more than the working pressure with a specified time as per the internal guiding standards. These shell leak could be the result of various issues including gas porosity; crack; shrinkage; less wall thickness etc. In order to overcome the above discussed factors, this paper aims with identification of root cause for shrinkage issue, deciding accurate operation to perform by adapting MAGMA software, application of selected/adapted process, and verifying the significances of the selected operation/process. The paper is limited to castings produced by a sand process purely from the inputs received from the past development data of this casting at Foundry(MACPL), analyzing various causes and respective solutions to shrinkage cavity formation, analyzing the effectiveness of proper solution by using MAGMA simulation. With this analysis, a permanent solution is obtained without any further wastage of production time and money. Read More...

A LITERATURE REVIEW ON PORTABILITY OF C PROGRAMS AND THE UNIX SYSTEM
-Dr. Smruti Sohani ; Virendra Dixit
Computer programs are portable to the extent that they can be moved to new computing environments with much less effort than it would take to rewrite them. In the limit, a program is perfectly portable if it can be moved at will with no change whatsoever. Recent C language extensions have made it easier to write portable programs. Some tools have also been developed that aid in the detection of no portable constructions. With these tools many programs have been moved from the PDP-11 on which they were developed to other machines. In particular, the UNIX†operating system and most of its software have been transported to the Interdata 8/32. The source-language representation of most of the code involved is identical in all environments.
Note— †At the time UNIX was a trademark of Bell Laboratories; today the mark is owned by the Open Group.

Study on behavior of concrete by copper slag and quartz sand as replacement of fine aggregate.
-MOHD FAIZANUDDIN ; AKBER MOHAMMED; MOHAMMED MUNEEB; WASEEM SOHAIL
Concrete is the most basic and the most essential building material which is used in any construction industry. It is plastic and mouldable when it is in crisp state. How ever gets solid and strong when solidified. Concrete is a building matter collectively composed of water, FA and CA embedded in a harden matrix of materials, which fills up the voids among aggregates and adheres them strongly. Concrete is good in compression but weak in tension, therefore the reinforcements are provided so that the required strength can be achieved in the tension zone. The usage of wastes such as copper slag getting prioritized as additives, by using these wastes in concrete, the strength can be effectively achieved & the problem of disposal of these wastes can be greatly reduced. In the present thesis work, the properties of concrete are thoroughly studied with addition of industrial wastes obtained from copper industries & easily available cheap mineral known as quartz sand. Copper slag which is used in the sand blasting whereas quartz sand is used in glass manufacturing using these material as partial replacement of fine aggregate in M25 grade concrete. The IS codes used in this experimental work are IS 2720-part 3, IS4031 –part 1, IS383 1970, IS 2386 part III-1963. Various proportions of copper slag replacement of fine aggregate & quartz sand replacement were adopted i,e 0%, 20%, 30%, 40%,50% by volume of fine aggregate. The parameters such as strength aspects are examining in this work. The best proportions will be chosen and are compared based on based on the various test results such specific gravity tests compressive strength split tensile strength and flexural strength test. In this project the workability seems to increase with the addition of copper slag and quartz sand. Strength aspects such as compressive, Tensile and flexural strength tests are conducted. The compressive strength for concrete containing 40% of copper slag as partial replacement of fine aggregate for 28 days of curing is 39.40 respectively. Split tensile for 40% copper slag replacement fine aggregate for 28 days of curing is 4.61 respectively. Flexural strength for 40 % copper slag replacement of fine aggregate for 28 days of curing is 4.96, all units are in N/mm2. The compressive strength for concrete containing 40% of quartz sand as partial replacement of fine aggregate for 28 days of curing is 37.47. Split tensile for 40% quartz sand replacement of fine aggregate for 28 days of curing is 4.47. Flexural strength for 40 % quartz sand replacement for 28 days of curing is 4.88, all units are in N/mm2. From the experimental study and comparing of results it is found that the strength such as compressive, split tensile and flexural obtain from optimum replacement percentage of copper slag which is 40% is greater than the strength obtained from optimum replacement percentage of quartz sand which is 40%. Characters Recognition using Feature Extraction in License Plate
-Anjali Patwa ; Vishal Shrivastava
The main goal of my research is to provide secure and efficient way for the traffic police to recognize the number plate of a vehicle on the spot in field of either an accident or the crime. Presently the vehicle number is captured by the image camera and the image is transmitted to the traffic police central office. It requires more bandwidth to carry the poor image and more power. I want to make an idea by which the information of the owner of the vehicle is directly transmitted to the traffic police central office. This would be an automatic system which can help to reduce the man power and the faster information way to avoid more crimes or to catch the criminals. It also helps to find out the stolen vehicles.

The Computational Analysis and Design Optimization of Roll Cage for AN SAE Standard Based Small Segment Car
-Manjunath HS ; Srinuvasu .N; Rathika M; Preethi K
The primary objective of this paper is to optimize the design of a roll cage frame structure for SAE standard based small segment car. A small segment vehicle is a small, off road vehicle powered by a four stroke engine, thus large part of vehicle performance depends on acceleration which is proportional to the weight of the roll cage and hence chassis. To achieve greater performance of the vehicle, a balance must be found between strength and weight of the roll cage to ensure safety of the driver. So roll cage part of the chassis is the primary protection for the driver. The design optimization of roll cage is based on position, location and orientation of link. Hence a multi-body dynamic analysis is carried out to study performance of the roll cage. Modelling was done to distribute the mass of the vehicle over its frame members to simulate the real world problem for dynamic analysis. The finite element analysis software program used for solving the problem was LS-DYNA. the main criteria for selection of material of roll cage was safety, cost and durability.LS-DYNA is a general purpose explicit and implicit finite element program used to analyze the non-linear dynamic response of the three dimension structure. Due to the advances in computational techniques with the advent of higher end software, the computing capacity has been enhanced. Also computing capacity helps in reducing the design cycle time and saves the graphic and relative costs. In the present work, a Roll-cage for small car is analysed using implicit and explicit algorithms for stress conditions. The roll-cage is built using CATIA software for the standard dimensions. Modal analysis is carried out to find resonant frequencies to ease selection of the engine speed. Modal analysis results show improved natural frequency for the modified design. LSDYNA explicit analysis is carried out for 90KMPH speed for crash testing. This work is done to find the usage of crash solvers in the role-cage design and understanding the weak regions in the SAE structures. Read More...

Implementation of FP-growth Tree for Large and Dynamic Data Set and Improve Efficiency
-Ms. Nikita Mishra ; Dr. Amit Khare; Mr. Rahul Moriwal
FP-growth method is a efficient algorithm to mine frequent patterns, in spite of long or short frequent patterns. By using compact tree structure and partitioning-based, divide-and-conquer searching method, it reduces the search costs substantially. But just as the analysis in Algorithm, in the process of FP-tree construction, it is a strict serial computing process. Algorithm performance is related to the database size, the sum of frequent patterns in the database: ω. this is a serious bottleneck. People may think using distributed parallel computation technique or multi-CPU to solve this problem. But these methods apparently increase the costs for exchanging and combining control information, and the algorithm complexity is also greatly increased, cannot solve this problem efficiently. Even if adopting multi-CPU technique, raising the requirement of hardware, the performance improvement is still limited. Read More...

-Varun Dande ; Kishan D. Patel; Perumalla Sai Upamanyu
In today’s world when people go out to purchase a bike or a car, the first concern that arises in their mind is about the top speed of the vehicle. Many people don’t consider the parameters required to maintain this speed. Karting is commonly perceived as the stepping stone of a formula one car, as we rise upwards from one car to another the speed and G’s increase from stage to stage. French philosopher Voltaire has quoted that ‘With great power comes great responsibility, on the same grounds, ‘With Superior Speed comes the need of an efficient and effective braking system.’ Most international Go-Karts operate at a speed of 100-120 mph (180 km/hr.), for handling this speed one needs a very streamlined braking system. Effective braking system is the key to control any vehicle at high speeds. In this paper we are designing and analyzing a Braking system for national level inter-college Go-Kart competition. All the calculations done in this paper are pertaining to our kart. The Analysis of the disc brake is done in Ansys 18.0 Workbench. Read More...

-Mayank Vyas ; Risil Bhagat; Purvesh Valand; Parvez Vasovala; Mujahid Mirchiwala
In this era due to Power electronics revolution, people have very efficient tools to solve problems of having DC voltage to power the Electronics Devices. Every new electronic product requires converting input voltage 230V AC power to some fixed DC voltage for powering the electronics circuit or devices. Switching regulators (SMPS) are becoming an essential part of many electronic systems due to miniaturization and energy efficiency. Conventional power supplies, however, draw currents that are highly non-sinusoidal and out of phase with input voltage, thus display a low power factor and higher total harmonic distortion (THD), which causes power quality problems. In This work presents two stage AC-DC and DC-DC power converter using single-phase isolated Full bridge converter with inherent power factor correction (PFC) method for switched mode power supply (SMPS).The advantages of the proposed methodology are its simple control strategy, reduction in complexity of system, low input line current harmonics. The effect of load variation on SMPS is also studied in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of converter for the complete range of load conditions. Read More...

Soil flexibility has to be considered in the analysis of massive structures to avoid failure and ensure safe service. This study focuses on a review of the influence of soil-structure interaction phenomena and its importance to various recipient roles in design and planning consideration of shear wall structures. It is a well-established fact that the soil-structure interaction effect considerably influences the design of multi-storey buildings subjected to seismic loads. The shear walls are often provided in such buildings to increase the lateral stability and to resist seismic lateral loads. Conventional analyses of the buildings is done by taking the base of the structure to be fixed but in the real life the scenario will be different as compared to a fixed end condition because the soil beneath the foundation will vary the earthquake forces and thus varying the lateral forces acting on the structure. The effect of shear walls which when placed at different locations and different shapes is also the important part. The effect of shear walls and also the soil structure interaction influences the behavior of multi-storied buildings subjected to seismic forces. Read More...

According to the statistics from World Health Organization (WHO), traffic accidents have become one of the top 10 leading causes of death in the world. Most visitor’s accidents are as a result of human elements, e.g. Motive force’s extraordinary driving behaviors. Therefore, it is necessary to detect drivers’ abnormal driving behaviors to alert the drivers. To improve drivers’ recognition of their driving behavior a good way to save your ability car injuries, we need to bear in mind a fine-grained monitoring approach, which no longer most effective detects abnormal using behaviors but additionally identifies particular sorts of abnormal driving behaviors, i.e. Weaving, Swerving, Side slipping, Fast U-turn, Turning with a extensive radius and Sudden braking. Through empirical studies of the 6-month riding strains accumulated from real using environments, we find that every one of the six types of driving behaviors have their precise styles on acceleration and orientation. Recognizing this statement, we further advocate a nice-grained odd Driving behavior Detection and identity gadget to perform real-time high-accurate odd riding behaviors monitoring the usage of smart telephone sensors. In this, we advocate a exceedingly efficient device geared toward early detection and alert of risky automobile maneuvers typically associated with rash riding. The whole answer calls for most effective a cell phone located in vehicle and with accelerometer sensor. A program established on the cellular cellphone computes accelerations primarily based on sensor readings, and compares them with typical Rash using styles extracted from real using assessments. Once any evidence of Rash driving is present, the cell cellphone will mechanically alert the motive force or sends a message to predefined quantity in application for assist well before coincidence simply takes place.
