Seismic Analysis of High Rise Structure with Upper Slab Isolated System
-Sandeep Bharne ; Dr. Pankaj Singh
Vibration absorbers consisting of a comparatively small mass-spring-dashpot system in resonance with the structure on which they are installed have been proven effective to reduce wind-induced vibrations in high-rise buildings, floor vibrations induced by occupant activity, and the seismic response of buildings. From the practical point of view, these vibration absorbers, first suggested by Frahm in 1909 and often called tuned mass dampers, represent an attractive alternative to protect structures against the detrimental effect of earthquakes. First of all, they require a relatively large mass and, hence, a large space for their installation. Melkumyan (2014), introduced the isolation techniques using laminated rubber bearing. Providing flexibility to the damper using laminated rubber bearings (LRBs) converts the system of an ordinary TMD into the system of an additional isolated upper floor – (AIUF), which actually is a roof isolation system. To What Extent Online Storage is better than Offline Storage
-Er. Prashant Saxena
Data is most important part of digital world. In other words, data is backbone of companies. Without data companies are bodies without life. They will be lifeless; companies will not be having any aim or agenda. Basically companies can't run without adequate data. Storing data is one of difficult task now a day. The work which we are doing on any digital device viz. laptop, smart phone, tablet, computer system, etc need place to store. The amount of work done stores in the form of data (A raw information), data is processed and termed to information. Storing data of companies with security and safety, many companies have started to provide place where users / companies can keep their data safe and secure. It is termed as online storage or cloud storage. User or company need to register on the company’s website and they need to either pay for storage, some companies provide certain amount of data (up to 20GB) free to attract user. Authentication for the account is must and authorization can be given once the verification process is done. Every day lot of data is generated by the users and only 15% data is useful, which needs to be saved but it can be decided by the owner of data, whether to keep data or scrap it. Companies which provide space have policy to provide space; they keep integrity and security of data. They don't disclose / reveal the information with anyone except government (if asked for security issues). Read More...

LabVIEW Based Multi Image Encryption and Decryption Algorithm for Security and Data Authentication
-Jayshree Verma ; Dr. Monisha Sharma
The sudden increase in encryption/decryption technology interest is most likely due to the increase in concern over copyright protection of multimedia content. With the rapid growth of the Internet and the multimedia image security systems in distributed environments encryption technique in multi images is a technique used to hide data or identifying information within the digital multimedia image. In the early days, encryption and decryption control access techniques were used to protect the image of media. Advance encryption algorithm technique becoming popular, especially for adding undetectable identification marks, such as copyright information. Because of this practical importance, watermarking techniques are often evaluated based on their invisibility, recoverability, and robustness. In this paper, the real-time image has been captured from the external device, in this work laptop from a camera (cam 0) has used for input of image to be encryption in interleave (JPG) format has taken, which is then converted into the number of frames. Each frame of the multi-image is then embedded with an algorithmic key using wavelet function. In this method, the level of WT can be easily controlled. Multi-resolution analysis has been performed on encrypted images and peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and mean square error (MSE) values have taken out to get the performance to differentiate between encrypted image and decryption image find out the accuracy and quality of image which actually depicts the efficiency and performance of AEC algorithm technique and the results of these has compared to one of the existing technique. In the global merchandise market, stock prices are highly volatile and strongly influenced by factors that are uncertain and indeterministic in nature. Hence, the stocks are traded with high risk by the individuals who fail to compete with the institutional investors thereby increasing the price and market volatility. To avoid the risk and to gain profit, chart tools and statistical techniques have been used. However, the techniques used by the statistician are univariate or bivariate in nature, and it neglects the consideration of multiple variables as a whole. Hence, a multiple regression analysis of variables affecting the stock prices are done in this paper using the transparent data available from National Stock Exchange (NSE). The significant factors are identified, stock price is predicted, and the confidence levels of responses are determined. The proposed methodology produced better prediction when compared with unassisted amateur traders. Read More...

Experimental Study on Nano Silica and Fly Ash as Partial Supplements of Cement in Concrete
-L. Ratna Kishore ; A. Priyadarshini; P. Silus
The cement consumption is directly related to the country's infrastructure sector and thus its growth is paramount in determining the development of the country. With a current production capacity of around 366 million tonnes (MT), India is the second largest producer of cement in the world. An environmental standpoint cement has a negative impact, because manufacturing it emits about a ton of greenhouse gas (CO2) into the atmosphere for every ton of cement manufactured. Production of Portland cement not only releases 7% of the World's carbon dioxide, the cement industry also uses a lot of natural resources such as limestone, clay, petroleum, coal and other substances to preserve the natural resources and to reduce the pollution due to the production of cement is by limiting the cement content in the concrete without compromising the strength. There were efforts before to partially replace cement in concrete with new compounds and industry by-products. The aim of the present experimental investigation is to find the influence of combined application of Nano-Silica (NS) and Fly Ash (FA) on the strength properties of concrete. Fly Ash and Nano-Silica are used as partial replacement of cement. In the present experimental investigation the cement is partially replaced by 20% and 30% of Fly Ash and Nano-Silica 1.5%, 3% and 4.5% by weight. The effect of combined application of Fly Ash and Nano-Silica on compressive strength, split tensile strength, flexural strength and modulus of elasticity of M25 grade of concrete is investigated. The test results of concrete prepared using the combination of different proportions of Fly Ash and Nano-Silica are compared with that of controlled concrete. The variation of different test results of concrete prepared with various proportions of Fly Ash and Nano-Silica indicates the same trend. Based on the test results, it can be observed that concrete prepared with20% Fly Ash and 3% Nano-Silica combination possesses improved strength properties compared to the controlled concrete. The increase in the various strength characteristics of concrete prepared using Fly Ash and Nano-Silica can be attributed to the effective particle packing and the also the availability of additional binder in the presence of Fly-Ash and Nano-Silica. Preprocesing of Hyperspectral Images for Precision Agriculture
-Hemalata V. Bhujle
Precision agriculture requires high spectral and spatial resolution imagery for advanced analyses of crop and soil conditions to increase crop yield. Imagery from traditional satellite systems, such as the U.S. Landsat satellites and the French SPOT satellites, has long been used to monitor crop growing conditions and to estimate crop yields over large geographic areas. Hyperspectral images are the images captured in large continuous narrow wavebands provides significant advancement in understanding the subtle changes in biochemical and biophysical attributes of the crop plants and their different physiological processes. Hyperspectral images captured in various narrow bands individually contain complementary information. Fusion of hyperspectral images using hierarchical model is proposed in the work which provides a single image containing all complementary information in a single image. Hyperspectral images have been preprocessed for atmospheric correction, radiometric correction and noise removal. Noise removal is carried out in multiresolution framework by applying Bayes thresholding at detail coefficients. Approximate coefficients are also filtered using NLM filter. Read More...

Implication on k-Means Strategy in WSN
-Ria Kumari ; Varsha
A Novel Energy Aware Hierarchical Cluster-Based (NEAHC) Routing Protocol with two goals: minimizing the total energy consumption and ensuring fairness of energy consumption between nodes. Relay node chooses problem as a nonlinear programming problem and use the property of convex function to find the optimal solution. NEAHC is used to extend network lifetime using a combination of a clustering approach and an optimal relay selection algorithm. For instance, first the cluster heads send the advertisement messages to all the nodes asking them to join their cluster. Then, each non-cluster head sends join message to the cluster head and again a third time cluster heads sends the message to the members informing which nodes must be out to the sleep node. So every time, the round changes this process gets repeated leading to so many messages being broadcasted thus leading to higher energy consumption. This method can be replaced by the K-means scheduling where the cluster heads for the subsequent rounds are decided in the initial phase itself. K-NEAHC determines an optimal routing path from the source to the destination by favoring the highest remaining battery power, high network lifetime in multi-hop path, and optimum fairness among sensor nodes. A High Capacity Highly Imperceptible Secret Information Hiding Approach for Colored Images
-Simranjot Kaur ; Jasdeep Singh; Sandeep Singh
Stenography is the branch of information security that hides the important and crucial information into an innocent media in such a way that no one except recipient can extract the information. The major goal of the is to enhance communication security by inserting secret message into the digital image, modifying the nonessential pixel of the image. The main objective of this research is to secure the data so that human eye cannot detect the data hidden inside the image. The data embedding and extraction algorithm will be designed so that large information can be hidden in image and the quality of the Stego image will be good. A steganography technique is proposed of data hiding using the concept of 2 bit identical matching technique and OPAP technique. To make the stego image imperceptible use the concept of hiding data on edges as on edges there is sharp change in color intensity and human eye will be unable to detect any hidden data. To use optimal pixel adjustment process for edge pixels to decrease the mean square error and to increase the peak signal to noise ratio and hence to make the stego image more imperceptible. And then use 2 bit identical match technique for non edge pixels. Then hide data in every layer of image to increase the capacity. The parameters PSNR, MSE, BER are measured and compared to the results with literature. Read More...

-Miss Snehal Prakash Powar ; Prof. Atul V Shah; Mr. Prashant P. Zirmite
One of the elementary image processing technique is image enhancement. Image Enhancement is most important and difficult techniques applied at beginning stage of algorithm or system in image research. It is used to improve the visibility of one aspect or component of an image. Image enhancement is a common approach to improve the quality of those images in terms of human visual perception. There exist lot of techniques that can enhance an image without spoiling it. Out of which Unsharp masking is used as for enhancement of sharpness of an image. There are several applications which requires enhancement in contrast as well as sharpness of an image. An image is mostly degraded by following reasons loss of sharpness or blur, and noise added to the image. Images also suffer from poor image quality, particularly lack of contrast and presence of shading and artifacts, due to the deficiencies in focusing, lighting, specimen staining and other factors. Unsharp masking has key applications in areas such as Health sciences to Enhance biomedical/medical image qualities, Robotic surgery, Low vision reading with electronic display, Machine vision, Forensics, Robot vision etc. This paper elaborates a generalized unsharp masking model by showing outputs at different levels of the algorithm. Mobile Computing with Ad hoc Network & Wireless LAN with Challenges
-Pankaj Gothwal ; Divya Sharma
In this paper, we summarized Mobile Computing with Ad hoc Network & Wireless LAN network and infrastructure. We define the operational model of our mobile computing environment, where we plan to demonstrate our proposed solutions. This review paper focus on Wireless Ad Hoc networks where I took review of its types, applications and security goals. The concept of dynamic mobility is also introduced in Ad Hoc network because nodes are moving from one place to another place, within this network any node can join the network and can leave the network at any time. A wireless ad hoc network is a decentralized type of wireless network. The network is ad hoc because it does not rely on a pre existing infrastructure, such as routers in wired networks or access points in managed (infrastructure) wireless networks. The decentralized nature of wireless ad-hoc networks makes them suitable for a variety of applications where central nodes can't be relied on and may improve the scalability of networks compared to wireless managed networks. Wireless Ad hoc networks are networks in which communication links are based on wireless technologies and the network structure or topology is not pre-defined rather build through dynamic network connectivity. Countries like India and China are facing problem of pollution due to large construction works in recent times. Ordinary Portland cement which is used in Concrete releases plethora of carbon dioxide (CO2) in atmosphere during manufacturing. This leads to increase of level of greenhouse gases and hence contributes in global warming. Material like Geo polymer concrete is best alternative for this problem .Concrete is the most versatile, indispensable and widely used building material, of which cement is an integral constituent. From the time immemorial, Portland cement has been used as binder in concrete construction. However, the production of the cement is not eco-friendly and consumes enormous amount of energy which ultimately leads to the depletion of the fossil fuel reserve. In addition to this, it emits noxious greenhouse gases which are harmful for the biosphere.. This paper presents an experimental study of compressive and flexural strength of concrete prepared with Ordinary Portland Cement, partially replaced by ground granulated blast furnace slag in different proportions varying from 0% to 50% of GGBS Concrete. -Mrs. Shital V. Shirpure ; Mr. Souras Ghotekar; Dr. Sanjay S. Uttarwar
Power quality is one of major concerns in the present era. It has become important, especially, with the introduction of sophisticated devices, whose performance is very sensitive to the quality of power supply. One of the major problems dealt by oil refinery industries constituting induction motor loads is the voltage sag. Depending on the depth and the duration of the voltage sag, the motor speed may recover to its normal value as the voltage amplitude recovers. Otherwise, the motor speed may slow down and the torque exerted by the motor could not supply the load. This paper presents the response of induction motors to voltage sags through MATLAB Simulation. To overcome this problem, Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR), which is the most efficient and effective modern custom power device used in power distribution networks is used. Various conditions of sag is simulated and the results are presented in this paper. The performance of DVR is analyzed in this paper. Read More...
