-Rahul. R ; Dr. A. Leema Rose; Manigandan. G; Prasanna. M; Ramesh Kumar. K
The main aim of the project is to make a brick with an improved strength characteristics than the normal fly ash brick. This bricks are used for the purpose of heavy load bearing walls, high rise buildings, industrial structures and irrigation structures. The objectives of the project is to determine the optimum mix ratio of the alccofine bricks which gets higher strength characteristics and to get less weight brick. The project work deals with the introducing of a new generation material “ALCCOFINE-1203†of a Supplementary Cementitious Material (SCM) of an ultrafine particle size as an additive into the normal fly ash brick. So which this Alccofine bricks has higher strength characteristics than the normal fly ash brick. The materials used in this bricks are Fly ash, Alccofine- 1203, Lime, Gypsum and Quarry dust. This Alccofine bricks has better strength characteristics such as compressive strength of 24 N/mm², water absorption is 2.52 %, efflorescence is slighter and it satisfies all physical tests such as size, shape & colour test, soundness test. Hardness test and structure test. This brick is made through the process of mixing, casting with the hand mould of non-modular size (220mmx100mmx70mm), Drying (3 days), Curing (21 days) and testing is done. The mixing of material is done at four various mix proportions with casting of three three bricks in each proportions. In which the 3rd proportion (Flyash-42.5%, Alccofine1203-12.5%, Lime-15%, Gypsum-3%, Quarry dust-27%) has given higher strength characteristics than the other three proportions. Therefore this alccofine has better strength characteristics and It is very useful in reducing the dead weight of the structure due to less weight of brick on brick masonry, Due to uniform size of bricks mortar required for joints and plaster is reduced by almost 50%, Due to lower water penetration seepage of water through this brick is considerably reduced. The Indian Standard, Specification for Pulverized fuel ash - lime bricks (IS 12894 (2002)) is mainly referred for making the bricks. Read More...

A Study of Existing Microgrid System
-Rahul Kumar Verma ; Pawan Pingoliya; Parveen Verma
The paper represents an overview of the microgrid architecture present in the existing power system. Depending on the availability of resources, geographical locations, load demand, and existing electrical transmission and distribution system, microgrids can be either connected to the grid or can work in an autonomous mode. Storage can also be a part of the microgrids architecture. To deploy the distributed generation properly the characteristics of various sources like photovoltaic (PV), wind turbine (WT) and load establishment should be done. The total cost for the implementation of the distributed generation system consisting of an investment cost of DG, maintenance cost, running cost, fuel cost and environment compensation cost is taken as objective function whereas node voltage and size of the storage unit is taken as a main constraints for the system. Microgrids with a variety of distributed generations (DGS) are very common in modern power system. When a fault occurs in the power system, the microgrid will operate as an isolated grid to ensure security. Then DGS were separated from the microgrid and the measures of load shedding were taken accordingly. When the fault is cleared, it is important to restore the whole network and as much load as it can. The future electricity network must be flexible, accessible, reliable, and economic according to the worldwide smartgrid initiative. Read More...

Technology can be seen almost every aspect of our lives. The graph of use of technology is increasing day by day. We all depend on technology to complete specific tasks of our life. There is technology in business, in education, in socializing and maintaining human relations, in purchasing, in agriculture, in banking, communication, and almost every part of our lives. The Indian Police Department which is crucial part of our society is lacking behind in use of technology. The Indian Police Department is most interactive, accessible and dynamic organization of our society. They carry out their routine chores manually. The proceedings of complaint are carried out by traditional “pen and paper†method. The traditional “pen and paper†method was comfortable when population was far less. At that time crime rates was also low. But now with urbanization and rapid development of big cities and towns, crime rates have also increase. With the increase in crime rates it has become tough to handle complaints and documents manually. Digitalization in Police department is very important. This "pen and paper" method needs to be replaced with system of registering complaint online. This online registering system would allow police officials to register complaint online through android application. The complaint details are forwarded to Police department web portal. In this way the entire process of registering complaints is online. By using this system speed of processing complaints would increase and also save time and energy of Police officer. Read More...

Air Fuel Ratio Display System
-Sagar Thorat ; Mr. Pravin Amate; Mr. Hemant Nannaware; Mr. Amol Kangane; Prof. Rutukesh Bhosale
These research paper is about air fuel ratio display meter. Reason for using an air/fuel ratio device is necessary to have an air/fuel ratio to determine if the engine is rich or lean. The same techniques used on a mechanical fuel injection system with a mixture knob can be used. These are lean out RPM rises and EGT changes. These techniques are well defined in Lycoming's engine literature. One benefit of using an air/fuel ratio device is that you can determine if the engine is rich or lean just by looking at the air/ratio meter if the device comes with a display. The second benefit is if the device has an output, then it can be connected to the Eagle. The data output from the Eagle will include the air/fuel ratio which will be displayed with the rest of the data such as RPM, MAP, and BAP. The data can be saved and reviewed later to determine when the engine is running too lean or rich. Read More...

Hyperloop Transportation System
-Akshay Shinde ; Rushikesh Patil; Pramod Vhankade
The Hyperloop is a concept for high speed ground transportation, consisting of passenger pods traveling at transonic speeds in a partially evacuated tube. The concept was originally proposed in a white paper published by SpaceX in 2013 as an alternative to the high-speed rail system currently being developed between Los Angeles and San Francisco, which was deemed too expensive and slow. The Hyperloop concept could fill a growing need for an alternative transportation mode for short-haul travel. (Runway taxiing, climb, descent, holding patterns, etc.). The high-frequency throughput of Hyperloop pods could alleviate some of these inefficiencies. Read More...
