A Survey Paper on Improving Password Security using Honey-Words and Honey Encryption
-Anand N. Varale ; Amol I. Parde; Swapnil N. Jagtap; Harshal S. Kamble; Rupesh G. Mahajan
In this Paper we discuss about the honey word mechanism to detect an adversary who attempts to login with cracked passwords. New password is the combination of existing user passwords called honey words. Fake password is nothing but the honey words basically, for each username a set of sweet words is constructed such that only one element is the correct password and the others are honey words (decoy passwords). Hence, when an adversary tries to enter into the system with a honey word, an alarm is triggered to notify the administrator about a password leakage. Honey words to detect attacks against hash password database. For each user account the legitimate password stored in form of honey words. If attacker Attack on password i.e. honeys words it cannot be sure it is real password or honey word. Read More...

Simulation of Shunt Active Power Filter to Enhance Power Quality
-Shivam Tiwari ; Durgesh Vishwakarma
Because of the nonlinear load and power electronics equipments fast switching, many problems are created in power system network. These power electronics equipments are very sensitive and costly so power quality issues are becoming stronger. So equipment will continue polluting the system more and more because of cost increase caused by the built-in compensation at now an age efficiency and cost are considered at same level. For overcome these types of problems and to improve the power quality active power filter are introduced and developed over the years. Among which shunt active power filter is used to eliminate load current harmonics and reactive power compensation. In this dissertation, three-phase shunt active power filter used to compensate harmonics and reactive power by nonlinear load to improve power quality is implemented for three-phase three wire systems. The advantage of this system is that it is based on linguistic description and does not require a mathematical model of the system. The process of compensation is depend on sensing line currents only, and an approach different from conventional methods, which require sensing of harmonics or reactive power components of the load. The main principal of MATLAB program to simulate the system operation and simulation results are presented under steady state conditions. These simulation results obtained shows the performance of better results. The Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) pattern generation is based on carrier less hysteresis based current control to obtain the switching signals to the voltage sourced PWM converter type. Read More...

-Mr B. Arunkumar ; Mr. S. S. Aravinth; N. Sathyaveni; S. Sri Vaishnavi; V. Sowmiya
Nowadays, the most important cloud service is data storage which causes drastic increase in duplicate data, so there is a necessity of efficient usage of storage space. This efficient usage of the storage can be achieved by the avoidance of the replicated data. We propose an idea to identify the duplicated data either at the file level or block level. This integrated feature is implemented using supervised learning algorithm to recognize the duplicated data in the cloud .In supervised algorithm, semi-supervised technique is used to find the similarity between the two files and identify the replicated data. The similarity is the filename and the content of the file. The authentication of the subscriber is provided by the secret key generation while downloading the necessary file. This authentication is essential for the subscriber to download the files that are uploaded by another subscriber. In addition, the status of file should be activating. The downloaded file can be shared between two subscribers. Only the validated original file will be stored in the cloud. This increases the effectiveness of storage when compared to other techniques. -Prof. Namrata Yesansure ; Gayatri Machhirke; Priya Meshram; Priyanka Kale; Yugandhara Thak
The content of the web has increasingly become a focus for academic research. Computer programs are needed in order to conduct any large-scale processing of web pages, requiring the use of a web crawler at some stage in order to fetch the pages to be analyzed. The processing of the text of web pages in order to extract information can be expensive in terms of processor time. The data ware housing maintain large and heterogeneous data from various input sources, website is one of them and selecting a particular data from a website is tedious and time consuming job. Searching for particular data in a website required lots of browsing efforts and manual efforts to copy the data from web pages. User has to download the images manually from webpage. The main objective is to develop an application based on web crawling algorithm which fetch the data for user for given keywords from the given target website and save them in database. The application is based on Java swing and Crawler4J API. Crawler4j is an open source web crawler for Java which provides a simple interface for crawling the Web. For database MYSQL is used. The Web crawler are mainly used to create a copy of all the visited pages for later processing by a search engine that will index the downloaded page to provide fast searches. Everyone use Information from website for their research, publications, advertisement, marketing etc. Many times this data came from databanks or data warehouses. In short many people perform web data mining for gathering information. To overcome this problem, software called “Web Crawler†is applied which uses various kinds of algorithms to achieve the goal. These algorithms use various kinds of heuristic functions to increase efficiency of crawlers. In this paper, we intend to provide a new crawling system which will be designed using java crawler4J API. This system will be a platform that will allow the user to crawler on given website to find the relevant data. The system will also be integrated with report functionality which provides an option to access the crawler data at a later time. In this system, we design 5 different types of the crawler to suits different needs of the user. Once crawler starts the crawling it will show the outcome in process window and if the data found it will be stored in the keyword table. While running the test cases on different domains we find out that it's results are acceptable from user points and our aims are achieved. Read More...

Experimental Investigation of Two Biodiesels (Neem Oil, Mustard Oil) Blended with Diesels as Alternative Fuel for Diesel Engines
-S. Praveen Raj ; S. Tamizh; R. Ganesh Kumar; S. Kulothungan
To study brings out an experimental of two biodiesels from neem oil and mustard oil they are blended with diesel at various mixing volumetric ratios. The existing studies have revealed the use of vegetable oils for engines as an alternative for Diesel fuel. However, there is a limitation in using straight vegetable oils in diesel engines due to their high viscosity and low volatility. In the present work, neat neem oil and mustard is converted into their respective methyl ester through transesterification process. In order to achieve this, Biodiesel was prepared from the non-edible oil of neem, mustard by transesterification of the oil with methanol in the presence of NaOH as catalyst. The important fuel properties of biodiesel produced from Neem oil and Mustard oil, like viscocity, flash point, fire point, calorific value and emission should be found out to compare with the properties of Indian standard biodiesel for its use. Experiments are conducted using various blends of methyl ester of neem oil and mustard oil with diesel in a single cylinder, four stroke vertical and air cooled Kirloskar diesel engine. The brake thermal efficiency, unburned hydrocarbon and smoke density are observed to be lower in case of neem and mustard biodiesel blends than diesel. Read More...

This paper deals with the modification of a vehicle. Modern development and economical progression of Indian society resulted in increase of cars on rods. Due to space constraints, car parking is the major problem faced in most parts of the country. Present study aims for development of a system to reduce the turning radius of a car. The indigenously developed system consists of Ackerman steering and various mechanism with arrangement of the various kinematics links. In this system at first vehicle is stopped and wheels are then turned in the required direction with the help of steering system. It has turning radius nearly equal to negligible of the length of car itself. This system can be useful in better parking, traffic jam, back turning on narrow roads, etc. The advanced new technology has led to various modifications in the automobile sector. No extra space is required to turn the vehicle. So vehicle can be turned in the space equal to the length of the vehicle itself. m. In this system, the wheels connected to the front axles are turned opposite to each other, and so are the wheels connected to the rear axle. The wheels on the on left half vehicle rotate in one direction and the ones on the right half of the vehicle rotate in the opposite direction. Due to increasing demand and supply of cars, roads are over flowed by vehicles. There is severe problem of parking at home, parking at public places and multiplexes, traffic jam etc. This helps in maneuvering the vehicle in tight spaces such as parking lots and within small compounds. A Study of Tall Building with Outrigger and Core Subjected to Wind and Seismic Loads
-Vaibhav R. Kubde ; Prof. Rahul M. Phuke
In modern tall buildings, lateral loads induced by wind or earthquake forces are often resisted by a system of multi-outriggers. An outrigger is a stiff beam that connects the shear walls to exterior columns. When the structure is subjected to lateral forces, the outrigger and the columns resist the rotation of the core and thus significantly reduce the lateral deflection and base moment, which would have arisen in a free core. During the last three decades, numerous studies have been carried out on the analysis and behavior of outrigger structures. But this question is remained that how many outriggers system is needed in tall buildings. In this study, The behavior of 37 storey RC building will analysed by using standard structural software for displacement and base shear at different outrigger level to optimize the structural system. Bug Tracking System
-Md. Modassir Hassan ; Pankaj Garg
Bug tracking is an essential discipline in the domain of software engineering. It has far reaching effects on the system when effectively used. The information provided in terms of bugs and solutions in the bug reports can help software engineers to act on them quickly and ensure that they are either rectified or eliminated from the system. The bulk of information provided in the bug reports may cause problem to developers in ascertaining poorly designed information. Therefore the bug tracking systems are to be improved and follow certain standards. To overcome the problem, we propose four fundamental directions to enhancing effectiveness of bug tracking systems. To demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed directions, we develop a prototype application that tracks bugs effectively by capturing essential information from users and help resolve bugs quickly. Design and Analysis of Lift Axle Mechanism for Heavy Load Vehicle
-Mayur Sanjay Hivarkar ; Shubham Gawande; Pranav Tilekar; Shubham Sirsat
Some dump trucks and trailers may be configured with a lift axle which may be mechanically raised or lowered. The axle is lowered to increase the weight capacity or to distribute the weight of cargo over more wheels. When not needed the axle is lifted off the ground to save wear on the tire and also the wear of axle and to increase traction in the remaining wheels. Also lifting an axle alleviates lateral scrubbing of additional axle in very tight turn allowing vehicle to turn more readily. The current mechanism used for lifting the axle in mechanical suspension as per the survey uses a mechanical pin which is inserted into a cavity or uses a wire rope tied to the chassis after the axle is lifted with the help of a screw jack while the trailer is travelling empty loaded. So there is more load on trailer chassis also it against RTO rule. Our proposed mechanism for lifting the axle will include an automated system consisting a push button for realizing the pressure inside air bellow. There by causing upward and downward movement of axle and this design is way better than previous one and also fit in RTO and road laws. Following paper module contains design of lift axle mechanism for heavy duty vehicles as per designed calculations and corresponding weight load analysis of axle having final summation of load on axle shaft. -Pundalik Shivappa Chavan ; Pranay Sawant Dessai; Rounak Naik; Pritesh Chari
This paper is an effort that has been put to serves the needs of land survey. Here, a robot is developed to conduct land survey, specifically to calculate the area of a given land and to divide it into subplots. The process involves two parts- Survey Robot and area measurement module. The Rover is controlled through the Arduino & Compass module to move about the entire plot. The destination coordinates are already given in the code. Once the current location is fixed, it calculates the distance and heading between the two points. The compass module tells the current heading of the rover. The final heading is calculated by taking the difference between actual heading and current heading. With the help of final heading angle, the rover moves towards its desired location. As the rover moves close to the destination the distance reduces. Once the distance is less the rover stops, assuming it has reached to the destination location. Read More...

A Survey on Jini Technology
-Ms. Payal Dattatraya Rane ; Prof. R. A. Agrawal
Any network made of services (like application, database, servers, storage, etc.) and clients of these services can be added, removed or maintained from the network and the new clients can search for existing services. Jini technology is useful for delivering the services in a network and provides interaction between the programs that use these services despite of their hardware or software implementation. A network becomes more dynamic due to Jini technology. Jini technology provides mechanism/methods for devices through which we can connect and disconnect physical devices from network without making any configuration [4]. Jini is also called “Apache River. The problems of distributed computing can be addressed by using a set of interfaces and protocols. Jini can be builds up on the Java 2 Platforms. When one or more devices get deleted from the federations the Jini enables self-healing. Jini is useful for both hardware as well as software services. Jini technology is not a Web service. It can communicate with, or be used to build, Web services [3]. Jini technology was developed to address the problems that should be solved before generic Web services can be transformed into the highly personalized, cross-network, intelligent services that future systems will provide. Experimental Investigation on the Durability of Glass/Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Polymer Nanocomposite
-V. Muralitharan ; B. Elamvazhuthi; M. Sutharsan; K. Tamilselvan
The long-term seawater durability of glass/carbon polymer composites that are used in marine structures are compared in a preliminary study. The composites are virtually identical in terms of fabrication processing, dimensions, thickness and fibre volume fraction, and this allowed the effects of fibre type (ie. glass /carbon polymer) durability to be determined. When immersed in seawater at a temperature of 30oC, Weight change measurements show that the amount of moisture absorbed by glass/carbon polymer composite. In this work, the durability characteristics of epoxy Carbon/Glass fibre reinforced laminates with Nanoclay fillers was examined. In this work, a series of test laminates was fabricated using hand lay-up process with symmetrical stacking sequence of (90/0/90)2S. The resin was modified with different Weight % (0.5% – 3%) of nanoclay fillers. The nanoparticles were dispersed into the matrix material by mechanical stirring with 3000 rpm followed by ultrasonication with 50 kHz for better dispersion of nanoparticles. The tensile strength properties were evaluated from servo-controlled hydraulic universal testing machine (ASTM D3039/ 3039M) with alkaline solution and seas water environments. In addition, the fractured surfaces were examined with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to identify the mode of failures. SEM results shows that matrix cracking, fibre breakage, debonding and fibre pull out are the major failure when the laminates subjected to in-plane and out-of-plane loading conditions. Read More...

A Medium Frequency Transformer-Based HVDC Transmission and Distribution Load with Induction Motor
-Likhitha U. N ; Mrs. Shwetha
Recently, offshore wind farms have emerged as the most promising sector in the global renewable energy industry. The main reasons for the rapid development of offshore wind farms includes much better wind resources and smaller environmental impact (e.g., audible noise and visual effect). However, the current state of the offshore wind power presents economic challenges significantly greater than onshore. In this thesis, a novel inter-connecting method for permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG)-based offshore wind farm is proposed, where cascaded pulse-width modulated (PWM) current-source converters (CSCs) are employed. With the converters in cascade to achieve high operating voltages, the proposed method eliminates the need for bulky and very costly offshore converter substation which is usually employed in current source converter (CSC) high voltage DC (HVDC)-based counter-parts. Solar Cell
-Krishna Mohan Thakur ; Vivek Kumar Soni
The scale of solar energy is quite wide and its intensity varies according to the timing of the day and the geographical location of the country. In India the sun first rises in the Arunachal Pradesh, so the intensity of sunlight in Arunachal Pradesh is more than in comparison of other states of India. This is applied all over the world. In this paper applications and generations of solar cells are discussed. Solar cells and photovoltaic cells are devices that convert light direct into electricity. A solar cell is an example of a photovoltaic device, i.e, a device that generates voltage when exposed to light. The functioning of a solar cell is similar to the photodetector cell. It is a photodiode that is unbiased and connected to a load. There are three qualitative differences between a solar cell and photodetector.
1) A photodiode works on a narrow range of wavelength while solar cells need to work over a broad spectral range (solar spectrum).
2) Solar cells are typically wide area devices to maximize exposure.
3) In photodiodes the metric is quantum efficiency, which defines the signal to noise ratio while for solar cells, it is the power conversion efficiency which is the power delivered per incident solar energy.
4) Concentrated photovoltaic technology (CPV) uses optics such as mirrors and lens to focus sunlight on solar cells for the sake of generating electricity.

We use our hands without even thinking twice that how much we need it in our day to day life. Hands play a major role in our life and make the hand makes us losing a major chunk of life. It is very pathetic to see any of our close ones to lose a hand and suffer due to it. This is where modern artificial hands play a significant role – they are advanced and highly sophisticated. Along with the advancements the cost also increases for it. On the other hand bionic and mionic hands uses the muscular action which becomes complex to use by people. This motivated us to think about an alternate solution for the complexities which are prevailing in current scenario. The main objective of the researchers is to be useful and affordable for people who lost their hand or born without the hand. The efficacy of the product will enable it to be used in industries to even handle volatile objects .A flex sensor used in making the glove, will be able to convert the bending changes into varying resistance. This feature will enable researchers to use the action of active human hand and copy its actions and replicate it in the prosthetic hand. This varying resistance gives commands to servomotor using microcontroller. Read More...
