-B. Prasanna Kumar ; Dr. S. Triveni; Dr. A. Vijaya Gopal
Anaerobic digestion is a microbial process for production of biogas, which consists of primarily methane (CH4) & carbon dioxide (CO2). Mixture of maize straw residues along with cattle dung was anaerobically digested in a 3 Lit capacity lab scale batch reactors. Biogas can be used as energy source and also for numerous purposes. But, any possible application requires knowledge & information about the composition and quantity of constituents in the biogas produced. Anaerobic co-digestion strategies are needed to enhance biogas production when treating certain residues such as cattle dung. Co-digestion of agricultural waste i.e., maize straw with cattle dung or other feedstocks with low carbon content can improve process stability and methane production. In this study, anaerobic digestion and co-digestion of cattle dung with maize straw using microbial consortium have been experimentally tested to determine the biogas potential. Among two treatments and intervals the TS % was found highest with the treatment T2 (Biogas production with pretreatment) i.e., 9.30 % as when compared to T1 (Biogas production without pretreatment) i.e., 7.00 %. pH was found to be highest in the treatment T2 (Biogas production with pretreatment) i.e., 6.30 as when compared to T1 (Biogas production without pretreatment) i.e., 6.20. At the end of the anaerobic fermentation process the methane gas production was significantly more in AW-T2 (Biogas production with pretreatment) 3531.10 ml, compared to AW-T1 (Biogas production without pretreatment) 3381.00 ml, HW-T2 (Biogas production with pretreatment) 2620.70 ml and less in HW-T1 (Biogas production without pretreatment) 2381.40 ml. PiCode: A Multi-Scale Structure Similarity Metric (MS-SSIM) for Perceptual Quality Improvement
-S. Jencillin ; Mr. Y. R. Packia Dhas
PiCode combines the attractive appearance of a picture and the decoding reliability of barcode. It offers a superior solution for mobile advertisement, media and marketing. Users can directly scan the PiCode for accessing information, while the advertiser would not have to stress over the valuable advertisement space occupied by the traditional 2D barcodes any more. Picode is typically used for embedding messages and image of the product logo such that people can conveniently use mobile devices to capture the Picode and acquire information through a QR code reader. In this proposed system, Picode with aesthetic elements has been formulated as an optimization problem that minimizes the visual perception distortion subject to acceptable decoding rate. However, the visual quality of the Picode generated by existing methods still leaves much to be desired. The poor visual quality is first synthesized based on the improvements of PiCode in three aspects: less obtrusive finder pattern, no fixed pattern in the interior of the barcode, and the use of adaptive modulation. The proposed PiCode as well as other beautified QR codes introduce distortions to the embedded image since data bits are carried by the modules via customized modulation schemes. To evaluate such distortions, the multi-scale structural similarity (MS -SSIM) metric is employed in our experiment to cater for different viewing conditions, such as different resolutions and physical sizes of the barcode. Removal of Scale Deposition on Pipe Walls by using Magnetic Field Treatment
-Himanshu Gaur ; Dr. Vivek Shrivastava; Amrit Anand Dosar
The scaling power of the treated water was estimated through an electrochemical scaling test. Chroamperometric curves and chronoelectrogravimetric curves were plotted to obtain the scaling time and the nucleation time of the scale deposition. The variation of the efficiency of the magnetic treatment was studied when the length of treatment, the flow velocity of the scaling water in the device, the material of the pipe where the scaling water flowed were changed. The scale removal efï¬ciency was evaluated based on calcium concentration in the outlet, after passing through the magnetic ï¬eld. Magnetic strength was varied between 0.1 T to 0.4 T to investigate its effect on scale reduction. The morphology were analyzed by ï¬eld emission scanning electron microscope. It was found that magnetic ï¬eld enhanced scale removal from pipe walls by 46.7%. With respect to the increasing the magnetic ï¬eld strength to 0.4 T, the efï¬ciency of removal also increased to 30%. Possible mechanisms involved in the magnetic treatment that affects scale reduction such as the effect of magneto-hydrodynamics and magnetically modiï¬ed hydration are discussed. Magnetic technology is a simple, cost-effective and environmentally friendly treatment approach for clean water production with signiï¬cant scale removal efï¬ciency. Read More...

This paper presents the experimental investigation of mechanical properties of concrete using sandstone dust as partially replaced with sand. Sandstone dust is obtained as a by-product during the mining of sand-stone. As part of research work, the experimental investigation has been carried out to check the possibility of using the sandstone dust as a partial replacement of sand in concrete. There were M20 and M25 grade concrete made using sandstone dust. The proportion of sandstone dust added to replace sand were 20%, 30% and 40% of the sand by weight. The main objective of work is to determine workability and basic properties of fresh concrete and mechanical properties of hardened concrete. Concrete made with 20% and 30% replacement of sand with sandstone dust gave comparative higher compressive strength and flexural strength for both grade of concrete. Workability parameters were on par for both grades of concrete for constant water-cement ratio. Read More...

-Supriya Sunil Dhage ; Pooja Subhash Hande; Laxmi Shivram Biradar; Madhavi Ravindranath Dube; Dr. Archana Chaughule
Billions of items loaded on social media are basically owned by multiple users [1]. However only the user who uploads the item has the authority to adjust its privacy settings i.e. accessibility to the items [1]. Adjusting one's privacy is a serious issue which is to be dealt efficiently, as user's privacy preferences may collide. This might result into serious consequences e.g. losing jobs, cyber stalking. Items contain images that involve many people, comments which include various people etc. Multi-party privacy management is of great importance for users to properly preserve their privacy on social media. The proposed system includes first computational mechanism to resolve conflicts for multi-party management which is capable of operating in different situations by modelling the concessions made by user to reach a solution to the conflict [1]. In the proposed system the mediator uses various concession rules to resolve conflicts for multi-party privacy management. A tag line is given to the original sender to overcome the no concession rule. In this system friends are recommended on the basis of current user's interest. Read More...

Power Generation by Anti-Gravity
-S. R. Mandale ; Vedant Arun Gavali; Akshay Kiran Kulkarni; Kunal Nandlal Nikam; Nicky Ramesh Patil
Conserving energy has become the biggest issue in present scenario. Due to the development and modernization the electricity demand is increasing at high extent. To fulfil this demand globally which is without any harmful effect on environment is possible by using gravity power generation. The reason behind generating power by using gravity is that it is available all over the earth. Comparing to the other sources like chemical, thermal and other sources gravity is weak, is scalable. This weakness is due to uniformity, or steady state of our interactions with gravity. As gravity is weak as compared to the other sources, it cannot be efficiently converted into electrical energy or in the other form. The concept of gravity power generation is simple. The basic concept of gravity power generation mechanism is, when a body moves down from higher altitude to lower one its potential energy is converted into kinetic energy. This motion is converted into circular motion and that circular motion is converted into electricity by using a Mini DC generator. Read More...

Analysis on Enable Multi-Aspect Access Control System for Cloud Services
-Khatmode Rahul D. ; Kharat Pooja S.; Patil Prajkta P.; Khutale Kalyani R.; Dabhade S. A.
we propose a two-factor information security protection mechanism with issue revocability for cloud storage system. Our system permits a sender to send an encrypted message to a receiver through a cloud storage server. The sender only needs to know the identity of the receiver however no different data (such as its public key or its certificate). The receiver has to possess 2 things so as to decrypt the ciphertext. The primary factor is his/her secret key hold on within the pc. The second factor could be a distinctive personal security device that connects to the pc. It is impossible to decrypt the ciphertext without either piece. Additional significantly, once the safety device is stolen or lost, this device is revoked. It can’t be used to decrypt any ciphertext. This could be done by the cloud server which is able to immediately execute some algorithms to vary the existing ciphertext to be undecryptable by this device. This method is totally clear to the sender. Furthermore, the cloud server cannot decrypt any ciphertext at any time. The security and efficiency analysis show that our system isn't only secure however additionally sensible. Read More...

Modeling and Simulation of Induction Motor using MATLAB
-Hitesh S. Patel
This paper presents the step by step Simulink implementation of induction motor. With the modular system, each block solves one of the model equations; therefore, unlike black box models, all of the machine parameters are accessible for control and verification purposes. Dynamic models (mathematical models) are employed in to better understand the behavior of induction motor in both transient and steady state. The dynamic modelling sets all the mechanical equations for the inertia, torque and speed versus time. It also models all the differential voltage, currents and flux linkages between the stationary stator as well as the moving rotor. This paper presents a step by step MATLAB /Simulink implementation of an induction machine using d-q axis transformations of the stator and rotor variables in the arbitrary reference frame. -Mitul K Chovatiya ; Yogesh V. Akbari; Shradhha R. Vaniya
Bad reinforcement concrete works could generate building failures after earthquake. Concrete pouring and compacting on structural element with dense reinforcement and beam column joint are difficult. Compaction and pouring of concrete on element of structure with dense reinforcement and structural joint like beam column joint are difficult. Many types of concrete have been developed to enhance the different properties of concrete. When huge amount of concrete of very high steel is to be placed in a reinforced concrete member, it is very hard or difficult to ensure that the form work completely filled with concrete that is, fully compacted without voids or honeycombs. On this research using of roof tile powder in self-compacted concrete give better workability and also strength of self-compacted concrete. The roof tile powder is easily available in Indian villages. The possibility of using roof tile powder (RTP) with fly ash for partial replacement of ordinary Portland cement (OPC) will explore in this research. An experimental study is made by preparing specimens by utilizing roof tile powder (RTP) as partial replacement of ordinary Portland cement in Self compacted concrete with a percentage replacement from 0% to 40% i.e. (0%, 10%, 25%, 30% and 40%). The super plasticizer and viscosity modifying agent are added in Self compacted concrete. Test on fresh concrete is slump spread for all trial mixes. The mix that has the largest slump spread is tested with V-funnel, L-shaped box and U-shaped box Conventional specimens are also prepared for M30 and M35 grade Concrete without using RTP and fly ash. By conducting tests for both the specimens the properties of concrete will be investigate. This study ensures that using of roof tile powder (RTP) as partial replacement of ordinary Portland cement substitutes in concrete gives a good approach to reduce cost of materials and will accomplish the better properties of self-compacted concrete at all ages. Remote Fire Detection System using Arduino
-Prof. Mrs. Yogita A. Nafde ; Akash Patil; Akshay Bhaisare ; Pratik Bagade; Shantanu Mankar
In today's day to day life security and automation is in primary concerns of the industry. Nowadays, his approach is almost standardized to industrial and home automation and security system designing. Talking of automation and security system, telecommunication very a major key factor of the system. Hence by using GSM technology, telecommunication can be very conducive to save our lives as well as households as we have tried to show in this project. We have designed and developed an Arduino circuit with a sensor array of fire sensor (basically IR sensor) which detects The IR as fire radiate a large amount of IR light, with a smoke sensor and thermistor with an LCD display and an alarm with GSM sim900. When any one of the smoke, increased temperature or fire (in the form of IR light) is detected by the sensor, it is displayed by the LCD display as "Fire detected" and alarmed through a buzzer. Besides this, we have used the GSM module where an installed Sim card send a message as "fire detected" on a programmed number. With this the person concerned to the place of accident can be aware of the accident even if the person is away from the place of accident. Read More...

Automatic Tyre Inflation Systems - A Review
-Ashish Chandrashekhar Shinde ; Vishad Suresh Patil; Ashish Hanmant Mane; Shubham Jayanand Pawar; Aniket S Deshmukh
If there is a drop in tire pressure by a few PSI can result in the reduction of gas mileage, tire life, safety, and vehicle performance. The only part of a vehicle which is not getting automated is tires .The main working principle of the Tire Inflation System is that the compressed air is passed through the rotary joint into the nozzle fitted in Rim of the Wheel. The rotary joint thus allows the air to flow through itself along with providing the rotary motion of the wheel assembly The rotary joints effectively allow air to the tires without the tangling the hoses. Hence the tire is inflated automatically when vehicle is in motion simultaneously with the help of rotary joint. Read More...
